I’m the co-founder of Group Home Biz. We’re an assisted living and group home consulting company that provides resources throughout the US.

What challenge were you trying to address with Somnio Software?

We worked on a mobile application that would help our clients manage their clients – the residents within their homes. One of the challenges we had was we had a backend system but we weren’t happy with the frontend.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve worked with them for a few years on various projects. They gave technical advice and consulting since we didn’t know how to develop the software.

They provided architectural reviews, guidance, and other know-how to solve problems. We took that to try to develop a framework. We had complicated tasks that we needed to get done which their team immediately worked on. They used Flutter, PHP, Adobe, and JavaScript.

Somnio Software created the frontend of the mobile application and integrated that on our existing backend solution.

What is the team composition?

Several people worked on the project – a senior mobile developer, a backend developer, a web developer, and a desktop developer. I was mainly in touch with the main project person.

How did you come to work with Somnio Software?

We found them on Fiverr. We first met Mauricio, the CEO & co-founder, and we started doing some independent work with him. He eventually introduced us to the rest of his company.

How much have you invested with them?

Since we had many projects, we spent around between $10,000–$50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement ran from around August 2018–June 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The feedback on the project has been pretty straight forward. The customer satisfaction is high and the platform is easy-to-use. That, alone, is the best measurement for me.

How did Somnio Software perform from a project management standpoint?

We mostly communicated through virtual meetings. Their communication skills were high.

They would set schedules and then be there on time. Sometimes, we were even laxer and we would get there late, but they were always professional. We also used other platforms to communicate such as WhatsApp, Zoom, and email. We’re satisfied with their level of communication and project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their breadth of knowledge and professionalism impressed us. They stayed on the target and they kept us updated on the tasks. It was really impressive how they managed all the engineering work.

I want to stress that their communication skills were excellent and very thorough. Their ability to conceptualize and gather requirements was also excellent – that was one of the biggest things for us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There's nothing that I could think of for them to do better. They knew what they were doing and they did a good job on that. They were excellent. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Allocate the right resources on your side when working with their team because they are very aggressive. They get the job done and you will just provide them with your input.

I’m the director of Bozzetto, an architecture and construction studio. We specialize in reforms, recycling, extensions, remodeling and new work. We carry out a strict follow-up regarding the control of work, always based on prior planning. We hired Somnio Software for the development of a web application that we needed for our company. The product was developed from scratch because we didn’t have anything planned, no design or knowledge of the technical specifications. We first got together with Somnio for a consultancy to see what was the best design and path for our project.

We found out about Somnio because of a recommendation of a team member. We received very good comments about the company and when they showed themselves with a careful and fluid communication, we decided to start working with them.

Somnio provided us with technical consulting, development and maintenance of a website. During the consultancy, they analyzed which was the best way and design for the solution, giving suggestions both from a technical and a business point of view.

Then they began to make the prototypes of the website and sending us versions to get our feedback throughout all this stage. They asked us in detail for everything they needed from us and then turned those ideas into an attractive, efficient and fast web application.

Somnio helped us create a website to attract new clients and manage our jobs efficiently. It allowed us to obtain more leads and start working with new clients. The website was instrumental in achieving this. Their work helped us to increase the quality of our service and expand our clients.

The project management was very good. The project was divided into consulting, design, development and maintenance stages. Communication was excellent at all times, and they were always close to clarify doubts and work on comments.

What I liked most about the company was their ability to solve problems in an organized and efficient way. Throughout the process, we felt accompanied and understood. They put themselves in our shoes and helped us launch the best version of what we wanted to achieve.

The goals for this project were integrating and improving an already existing product. We worked based on priorities at that time and decided what needed to be improved.

They provided us with senior backend and full stack developers in order to work with our team on the development of the product. We arranged an amount of hours weekly where they worked really closely with us having meetings with the client to understand their needs and suggest different solutions, keeping in mind advantages and disadvantages.

Thanks to Somnio, we could get to the deadline and exceed clients expectations, now the client's business keeps growing and scaling, thanks to our work together with Somnio as a unique team.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project management was done by us, but along with Somnio we could get to the deadlines with great solutions, prioritizing business needs as well as software quality. Communication was fluent and transparent. They understood quickly our culture and workflow.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Outstanding technical knowledge as well as solving problems from the client’s perspective. Not just developing, but searching for solutions that were more than technical strategies. They were instrumental in a product launch and meeting deadlines so that we could get that product to the client.

We are very content with their work, so for the moment being I wouldn’t suggest anything. We will definitely keep working together.

In Fórmula, I'm responsible for the project management of software development, customer service, and production management.

They provided us a platform for managing payments and we are now able to receive 1000 payments per month through it. They succesfully help us to increase our monthly incomes.

At first, the project management responsability was shared between us and them. But then, when the project became more stable, they took full control of the role and we noticed a significant increase in effectivity.

During the event Somnio had to represent Codemagic by answering questions from people. 

Somnio also ran a lead capture campaign where they printed the t-shirts we had made and gave them out in exchange for a survey response. 

Somnio also highlighted leads that were high intent so we could go after them once the event was over.
