The scope of work covered three primary service areas: social media marketing, search marketing, and connected TV/programmatic advertising. For social media, the agency managed Meta, Instagram, YouTube, and X, beginning with in-depth account audits, full account structure buildouts, and tracking and analytics configuration. They developed creative strategy, produced and tested static, dynamic, video, and shopping ad formats, and supported dynamic feed and shopping integrations. They were responsible for both graphic design and copywriting. Their work included ongoing campaign management supported by audience research and segmentation, A/B testing, continuous optimization, and third-party data analysis. Collaboration and oversight were maintained through weekly strategy and reporting calls, along with a shared Slack communication channel.
Search marketing services followed the same process within the Google Ads platform. This included a full audit of the existing search program, structural rebuild and refinement, analytics and tracking setup, and creative strategy development. The agency delivered ongoing campaign management, including audience and keyword research, A/B testing, optimization, and dynamic product feed and shopping setup. As with social, they provided creative development support, issued weekly performance reporting, and maintained collaboration through Slack.
The connected TV and programmatic advertising work was executed through the agency’s StackAdapt account. While the deliverables focused on strategic execution and ongoing optimization, progress was demonstrated through quantifiable improvements in key performance metrics such as click-through rate, cost-per-click, cost-per-conversion, return on ad spend, and total conversion volume.
Additional signs of improvement were stronger audience segmentation results, increased engagement across multiple creative formats and effective expansion into new audience cohorts. Ensuring accurate tracking and analytics was also a critical outcome, as it enabled valid performance measurement and decision-making throughout the engagement. There was a lack of tracking/analytical improvements due to hurdles on our side that kept us from fully pursuing and reaching explosive results.

They’ve never missed a deadline and often deliver before their deadlines. They’ve done a great job integrating with our business, setting up shared communication channels where we message back and forth throughout the day. We don’t have to wait days to hear back from them through emails either. They’ve become a part of our team, and we can get answers quickly.
We primarily use Slack for communication, and they’ve set up a portal for us in ClickUp. When they create new email or ad designs, they put them in ClickUp and tag the relevant members of our team to give feedback. Their process is incredibly organized, and everybody’s on the same page.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the general manager of a retail environment, which we lease for space to merchants, artisans, and crafters. We also have an antique mall attached to us. There are 400 merchants total in our area, not counting the antique mall.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with 1 At Bat Media?
We’re always trying to engage with young entrepreneurs and drive traffic to our building, as we don't have an online sales presence. Everything that generates profit comes in as foot traffic through our door.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
They built the site from scratch; we provided the information that we wanted on our site and they built the website around those requirements. They also created the layout and design of the site.
They were also responsible for determining exactly what people who came to our website were looking for. As a retail environment, the main drivers to our site are people looking for our location, hours of operation, and the merchants and products we offer. 1 At Bat included all that information.
They now provide hosting and maintenance, in addition to setting up a simple and user-friendly program for merchants that have questions regarding set processes and cost. Finally, they execute campaigns on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook to drive likes and shares. We have weekly meetings, but they’re responsible for the majority of the content creation.
What is the team composition?
I deal with Travis (Account Manager) but I know he has other people that work with him.
How did you come to work with 1 At Bat Media?
We initially talked to them as we were looking to design our website many years ago. After moving through a number of partners, we came back to them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $50,000–$75,000 CAD (approximately $39,000–$59,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together since June 2017.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our website doesn’t support conversions; it’s more of an information kiosk for COVID restrictions and merchant information. In terms of metrics, we focus more on Instagram and TikTok. There’s been a big uptick on both those platforms, but particularly with Instagram. The local community is much more engaged and responsive there than they used to be.
The people who use our website have been around 90% pleased, which is good, as there’s always going to be some amount of negativity.
How did 1 At Bat Media perform from a project management standpoint?
We speak every Friday at 11:00 am and go over how the past week went. We look at metrics as to what’s occurring and what they’re forecasting as t has to do with upcoming campaigns and seasonal changes. They’re very hands-on. Our meetings take place over Zoom, and we email and text as well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re proactive with changes and intuitive with adapting to external contingencies. Our previous vendors didn’t have any follow-up, and they would lose direction quickly after a meeting. This isn’t the case with 1 At Bat.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I would love a monthly or even quarterly review of changes. My website is a couple of years old now, so it would be nice to have someone go in and see if any changes need to be made, rather than waiting for me to ask for changes. They could keep up the pressure a bit more.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Every business is slightly different, but I would suggest being prepared for a collaborative model of marketing. You are responsible for your own business, so you have to be involved and know where every dollar is going. Make sure to have open conversations with them.

1 At Bat Media was hired to rebuild our website and take over our digital advertising platforms to help drive traffic and revenue for the e-commerce segment of our business.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We had worked with other agencies in the past, and there is a very cookie-cutter or textbook approach to marketing that they all take. What I liked about 1 At Bat Media, was their extensive digital background, but also their direct experience in our consumer product space. That knowledge allowed us to skip through a lot of the typical onboarding, and get right into delivering results.

We went through a competitive analysis for the website build, and agreed upon the features we wanted to integrate within our Shopify store build. Once the site was complete, we established an advertising budget and strategy utilizing the FB/IG platform to start driving e-commerce sales. With success the budget scaled, as did the utilization of Google, Klaviyo for email and now Tiktok advertising platform.

I worked directly with the owner of 1 At Bat Media, held regular weekly calls with him. He oversaw the dissemination of tasks within his team with respect to creative, advertising and analytics.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Overall our website re-design was very well received. Our ecommerce sales have grown significantly during our tenure working with 1 At Bat Media. We are now at the stage of breaking through our first sales plateau and scaling our efforts.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Our workflow was very simple. We had a standing weekly update meeting, but exchanged several emails throughout the week on pending items. If the need arose for a second or third call throughout the week, the 1 At Bat Media team was always available.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I really like the in-depth and up-to-date knowledge that the 1 At Bat Media team has. They are constantly participating in seminars to be at the cutting edge of what's trending in terms of advertising efforts, algorithms and most importantly ROI!
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We've taken a 'crawl, walk, run' approach with our digital marketing strategy - primarily due to our own lack of familiarity with it. I think the opportunity to scale our efforts is there, and we should push past our hesitancy and give 1 At Bat more of the reigns to take a more 360 degree approach to our digital marketing.

Once we went over the discovery phase we shared all the goals we wanted to achieve and had all the information on how 1 At Bat Media can help us. We were really impressed with the proposal as it was very detailed and on point to what we would be getting.

1 At Bat Media went above and beyond throughout the whole project and the end product was beautiful and elegant. We sent the new link to few of our VIP customers and each and everyone of them loved the design and structure of the website and we have had so many multiple ad campaigns with unique visitors which made the sales for our new product go off the chart! We cannot be more happy with 1 At Bat Media!

We had shared communication channels & resources which made it easier to stay up-to date. Their team is really skilled and we could tell they love what they do and are in business to help their clients.
