A health and wellness company hired CMARIX to develop a subdomain, establish an affiliate program and rewards system, and improve the functionality of their existing website. This was a Shopify project.
CMARIX failed to deliver any functional or completed modules, leaving the client with an unfinished website. The project management was disorganized, unreliable, and far below any professional standard. The team lacked initiative, ownership, and attention to detail.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
Our experience with CMARIX was, unfortunately, one of the most disappointing professional collaborations we have ever encountered.
From the beginning, communication was inconsistent, timelines were repeatedly missed, and internal coordination within their team appeared chaotic. Despite having a clear brief, detailed documentation, and regular feedback rounds, there was no tangible project management structure in place. Deliverables were sent late, incomplete, or not at all — and when feedback was given, it was either ignored or poorly implemented.
The most concerning part was the lack of accountability.
Midway through the project, our assigned project manager left the communication channel without any notice, leaving the project in limbo. No official handover, no explanation — just silence. Even after escalating the issue multiple times, we never received a clear update or ownership from their management team.
The quality of the work that was delivered was well below industry standards — both technically and visually. The supposed “premium design” looked amateurish, and critical integrations such as the Affiliate & Reward System were either broken or never completed. Despite charging professional rates, the final output resembled an unfinished prototype, far from what was agreed upon.
We also experienced unprofessional behavior when we raised our concerns. Instead of constructive communication, we were met with defensive and dismissive responses. The entire experience raised serious doubts about the company’s internal organization and ethical standards.
In summary:
CMARIX significantly overpromised and underdelivered. The lack of integrity, transparency, and basic professionalism made it impossible to continue the collaboration. We had to engage another agency to completely rebuild the project from scratch — which speaks for itself.
We strongly advise any serious business owner to avoid working with CMARIX for complex or high-end digital projects.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
There were no measurable positive outcomes from this project.
Despite an agreed scope, timeline, and repeated follow-ups, CMARIX failed to deliver any functional or completed modules. The Shopify website remained unfinished, the Affiliate & Reward System was non-operational, and core automations (Shopify–Klaviyo integrations) were never properly implemented.
All key metrics — including website performance, automation stability, and design consistency — fell far below expectations.
Instead of measurable progress, the project led to delays, financial loss, and reputational damage, as we had to engage another agency to rebuild the work from scratch.
If measured objectively, the project success rate was 0%.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
The project management was disorganized, unreliable, and far below any professional standard.
Timelines were repeatedly missed without prior notice, and there was no consistent follow-up or accountability. We had to remind the team several times about deadlines and tasks that had already been discussed in detail.
Communication was one of the weakest points of the entire collaboration. Messages often remained unanswered for days, and when responses came, they lacked clarity or actionable updates. Even after multiple feedback sessions and detailed documentation from our side, the same mistakes were repeated.
The most alarming issue was that our assigned project manager simply left the communication channel without informing us — no handover, no explanation, no transition. This level of negligence left the project in complete disarray. We didn't get anything and despite several contact attempts we could not get any deliverables. So they deleted the Development store without our permission and left us with NOTHING although having paid 70% of the final price before hand !
In short: CMARIX showed no real project management system, no adherence to timelines, and no proactive approach to solving problems. Instead of guiding the process, they created confusion and delays that cost us both time and money.
What was your primary form of communication with CMARIX?

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Unfortunately, there was nothing particularly impressive or unique about working with CMARIX.
While their initial presentation and promises sounded professional, the actual execution failed to reflect any of the expertise or innovation they claimed to offer. The team lacked initiative, ownership, and attention to detail — qualities that should be fundamental in a professional development agency.
If anything stood out, it was the contrast between their sales pitch and the reality of their work, which made the experience especially disappointing.
Are there any areas for improvement or something CMARIX could have done differently?
Areas for Improvement:
CMARIX would need a complete overhaul of their internal processes to be considered a professional development partner.
The team should drastically improve in the following areas:
1. Project management and accountability – timelines were repeatedly missed without explanation, and the team showed no ownership of delays or mistakes.
2. Communication and transparency – responses were slow, unclear, and often dismissive. Basic client updates should not require multiple follow-ups.
3. Quality control and attention to detail – even after multiple reviews, the delivered work was full of inconsistencies, bugs, and missing functions.
4. Professional conduct – abruptly leaving the communication group without notice or transition is unacceptable in any business context.
In essence, CMARIX needs to focus less on sales presentations and more on delivering actual, functional, and timely results. Until that happens, I cannot recommend them to any serious business.
