We were thoroughly impressed by how well the project management team took charge of the website end-to-end. They were extremely supportive when it came to design, layout and changes. Web Dev & Design for Travel-Planning Mobile App
“Tentackles’ main strength was that they were very professional and easy to work with.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO & Co-Founder of a free mobile app that enables users to create, organize, and collaborate with others on travel plans within minutes. We’re a startup company, so we’re currently in the process of releasing the app.
What challenge were you trying to address with Tentackles- A UI/UX Design Agency?
In addition to our platform, we wanted to launch a website as a marketing tool so that people could have a point of contact where they could learn about our app without having to download it first. However, we had a tight deadline for releasing the site, so we sought external help.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Tentackles helped us develop our website from scratch. We initially provided them with a mockup of how we wanted our website’s structure to look like and what content we needed. However, they enhanced our concept and the content we provided, researching different websites, blogs, and travel magazines to develop the new content.
We required our website’s design to match our existing logo, so they helped us create a fitting color scheme. Then, they used Figma to create three site prototype versions to show us, which was great. We picked one design out of those three, based on which they developed the site.
What is the team composition?
Tentackles had different people dedicated to every part of the project, which was great. We mainly worked with four people from their team. Kishan (CEO & Founder) was in all of our meetings and addressed every critical issue. We also worked with a project coordinator, a content manager, who helped us create the content for the site, and a designer, who was in charge of the Figma designs.
How did you come to work with Tentackles- A UI/UX Design Agency?
We looked at various web design agencies in India with digital marketing experience, and we stumbled upon Tentackles on Google. During this research, we interviewed 10 companies and shortlisted two of them.
Of these two companies, Tentackles was our favorite one to take over this project. We saw in their portfolio that they had a great experience creating beautiful animations and videos, which was very appealing because we didn’t want a static or monotonous site. Additionally, they were very responsive and easy to talk to, and they demonstrated a genuine interest in learning more about our product. Kishan was very friendly, and he understood our startup status and what we were looking for.
Moreover, Kishan mentioned the procedures they would follow and how they would tackle this particular project. He also set a deadline and talked about how we would follow the timeline. I didn’t get this detailed approach from other companies, so I felt like I could rely on Tentackles.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $400.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from February–April 2022. We initially set up two deadlines, the desired one for April 15th and a backup one for April 30th. Still, Tentackles completed the project even before the first deadline.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The first aspect we measured regarding the quality of Tentackles' work was the site’s responsiveness — they excelled in that aspect. The site turned out to be very responsive to different devices. Tentackles took into consideration how every aspect of the site would look on each device, aligning its elements differently depending on the screen format.
Our second metric was how well the site matched our app. Tentackles did a great job matching our app and the site, choosing the perfect color scheme and font style.
How did Tentackles- A UI/UX Design Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
Tentackles was very efficient, and they delivered the product within the stipulated deadline. We worked on weekly sprint cycles and set small milestones every week. Tentackles was great at reaching every milestone, which put us on the right track for completing the project on time. Additionally, they took the time to understand our app, as well as its target audiences, target markets, and demographics.
Initially, we came to them with a very strict requirement regarding the site’s structure. However, they came up with a completely different design I didn’t expect. Still, the project coordinator stepped in and told us that they understood what we wanted but explained that they were trying to provide us with more options. This aspect was very important because they truly understood our needs and ensured that we were headed in the right direction.
Throughout the project, the project coordinator was very helpful. He took our feedback, helped us solve roadblocks, and coordinated the project tasks with their team. He also was very transparent about challenges on their end.
We kept track of the project using a shared Google Docs document, where we could see the tasks, how many hours they would take, and who was working on them. Additionally, we communicated via email and Zoom calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Tentackles’ main strength was that they were very professional and easy to work with. Additionally, they were very adaptable. Other companies told us that we would only have three rounds of changes, but Tentackles understood that we were a startup and put no limit to that aspect, interested in being involved in our future projects. Furthermore, their attention to detail was impressive; they pointed out aspects we overlooked.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Tentackles could have done a better job understanding our project from the get-go. It took them about four days to come up with the right questions to understand our needs; if they could have worked with us on that aspect from the beginning, we would have avoided wasting those initial days. Still, it was not an issue at all.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
It is important to be very communicative with them. Give them immediate feedback so that the project keeps moving forward.

UI/UX Design for Medical Software Solutions Company
"The quality of their designs was top-notch."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the design head of a medical background software solutions company. We provide automation for medical labs through our digital service.
What challenge were you trying to address with Tentackles- A UI/UX Design Agency?
We were looking to create a design solution where lab assistants could work on their internal communication so all their reports would be segregated in inventory management. Also, we needed a knowledge base where all assistants could track their issues and see videos to troubleshoot their problems. Our goal was to consolidate multiple software into one so lab assistants could manage the inventory in one place.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Tentackles worked primarily on UI/UX design. They created the entire inventory management system; it was a five-month engagement. We initially provided them with some documentation. Then, they conducted the design discovery because we weren't sure how to develop this. They analyzed the requirements, and during the discovery, they came up with the solution. Once we finished the discovery, Tentackles created the wireframes, then worked on UI.
What is the team composition?
We had around five people from their team — one project manager, two UX designers, and two UI designers.
How did you come to work with Tentackles- A UI/UX Design Agency?
We were looking for a disruptive design solution, so we searched online. We came across Tentackles in a list of design agencies. There were about 100, and we communicated with all of them. After that, we finalized with Tentackles.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $20,000 on the project.
What is the status of the engagement?
For this particular project, we began our partnership in March 2021 and closed the work in October 2021. We’ll engage them for new work, which will start in January 2022.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We liked the quality they provided. When we started, we were confused about how they would solve this problem. Our discovery sessions showed us that they understood our requirements, and the way they documented everything step by step using user stories was commendable.
After two months, we went for the development itself. We wanted to use the agile methodology, and they helped us by delivering in pieces so we could move straight to the development. Now, we’re about to close our development of this product. It’s coming out well, and I think that we’ll start rolling out in the internal team by the end of January.
How did Tentackles- A UI/UX Design Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
It was quite manageable. In terms of handling the project, they delivered on time and within our budget. Moreover, they let us know about the work status — they planned everything before, and we were aware of all the deliverables.
We had daily standup meetings; their team called every day to explain all the work’s complexities and daily status. Also, they used Jira to manage the project.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The quality of their designs was top-notch.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could’ve let us know about the discovery earlier so we would’ve known that it’d be good for us. We thought that it would delay the project, but it didn’t.
Any advice for potential customers?
If you trust them, they will deliver the best results.

WordPress Web Design for VR Company
“Tentackles is a highly experienced design firm.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am a business development manager for Miraretech, a VR experience company located in Bangalore, India. We have designed experiences in the areas of education, media, restaurants, and sports.
What challenge were you trying to address with Tentackles - A UI/UX Design Agency?
We hired Tentackles to help us with design and web development.
What was the scope of their involvement?
It was very tricky for us because we didn’t have much to provide Tentackles in terms of the what kinds of AR and VR interactions would be required. We were also policy-bound to not share the work we have done on the website, so we asked Tentackles to create everything from scratch.
We requested a lot of animation and micro-interactions for the website. That was our major requirement. They used HTML, CSS, as well as WordPress.
What is the team composition?
I interacted with 6–7 people from their team: 2–3 designers, three developers, and two interaction designers.
How did you come to work with Tentackles - A UI/UX Design Agency?
We considered multiple agencies for this project, asking all of them for sample designs. What we received from Tentackles came with a complete explanation of the design process, and we felt that it was the most aligned with our business requirements, so we chose them.
How much have you invested with them?
It cost around $7,000–$9,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started in February 2019. The project was completed within five months, but we continue to work with them for ongoing improvements and maintenance.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Tentackles has done a wonderful job of creating the experience and animations throughout the website. In each and every section, they have come up with very beautiful interactions that were beyond what we had originally imagined. We thought it would be heavily loaded with the animation, but it was all very lightly coded. Most of our clients like the website and were even asking who designed it.
How did Tentackles - A UI/UX Design Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
They delivered on their promise and according to the timelines. We communicate via online meetings most of the time. They use Trello to keep track of the project.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Tentackles is a highly experienced design firm.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could keep more testing-centric tools, especially in the development stage. This way it would be easier for a client to understand that all the things that they have delivered have been tested on multiple platforms.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I would highly recommend engaging Tentackles for design work.

Please describe your company and your position there.
We are a business consulting and deep technology company, and I am the managing partner
For what projects/services did your company hire Tentackles- A UI/UX Design Agency?
Customer experience is of utmost importance in today's time and we understand the criticality of the same. We wanted to fill the gap between us and the user and this was possible by design and development. We hired Tentackles, to achieve our business goals and to architect an organized approach.
We wanted a solid information architecture for our business and we needed professionals to help us achieve that. We wanted to identify our target users and deliver what was relevant to them, thus the best organization that we found was - Tentackles. They have been reviewed by some of the best creative agencies and startups in Canada, Asia and Australia.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Tentackles has been reviewed by some of the best creative agencies and startups in Canada, Asia and Australia. The first and foremost thing that made us select Tentackles as our design partner was the approachable and engaging team headed by Kishan. They gave us ample time to bring forward the best thought provoking requirement, helped us align them together, then started the creative process. Even before they could engage commercially/formally - they helped us refine our vision. This is customer excellence.
Their portfolio reflects the range of styles and we found it to be more aligned with our thought process. We wanted the challenging products to be designed in the simplest way possible and they presented a good wireframe that indicated their understanding of the product. Furthermore, the team evaluated visuals, applied creative methodologies, and process approaches. They understood our requirements and crafted the best site we imagined of.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
There are three websites to be created for Consulting, Textiles and, Agronomy. It started with a systematic study of our target audience to analyze their requirements and expectations. The team then moved on to competitor research and laid a balanced blueprint of design planning. Once the team had a clear understanding of the user needs and market, they started designing and prototyping. The next step was user testing to monitor the reaction of the user to the services.
Once the team received approval from user testing, the design was ready for implementation. After the release was completed and the feedback was analyzed by the team and they reiterated the product with regards to received feedback.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We interacted with the founder of Tentackles, IT specialists, designers, content writers, and a marketing expert. The team helped us navigate the complexities of UX/UI design. There might be a few more working in the background.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We are steadily reaching to meet our strategic goals as soon we upgraded our UX/UI web design. They delivered things right on time and brought the plan to reality. We can say that their work has positively impacted.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
It was seamless. The website design process can be long and confusing, but the results were worth it. The team worked carefully across all areas from writers to developers to designers and I admire their flexibility. They delivered the project right on time and exactly as we expected it to be.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
One thing that we found very impressive about the team was their flexible approach. They have a deep robust knowledge of web design and they delivered creative solutions marinated with our vision. They embraced all our needs and helped us succeed by consistently delivering the best.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I had a great experience working with Tentackles. Having worked with many vendors for various services, this was one of the best. Having said that, there is always some room for improvement and I am looking forward to seeing more services under one roof. This will mutually benefit them and their clients as well.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a director at a software and services provider working with banking and retail clients.
What challenge were you trying to address with Tentackles - A UI/UX Design Agency?
We launched a new product aimed at US-based mortgage originators, and we engaged with Tentackles to create a website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Tentackles designed the logo and WordPress website for our product and helped us with SEO in the initial phase. They currently handle the IT side, content production. We haven’t gone into marketing, but we’ll consider them for this in the future.
What is the team composition?
I’ve engaged with 4–5 people from Tentackles; their founder, an IT specialist, a designer, a content writer, and an SEO and marketing expert. There might be a few more working in the background.
How did you come to work with Tentackles - A UI/UX Design Agency?
They were shortlisted before I joined. We evaluated logo designs from 2–3 agencies, but the one done by Tentackles was more in line with our thought process.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in April 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
It’s still early for actual metrics because we’re still launching the product. I can say that they deliver on time, and the website designs were well-received by our management.
How did Tentackles - A UI/UX Design Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re flexible in conforming to how we want the engagement to be done. It required a bit more work on Tentackles’ side, but they were willing to take that on board. We communicate through phone, WhatsApp, and email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They worked during the lockdown. There was a massive second wave going on in India, and their ability to deliver on time is something to mention.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing they can improve on — the project is going smoothly.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
We jumped into the engagement with one day of preparation. My advice is for customers to take a week to prepare what they want. It’ll speed up the implementation quite a bit.

Website and Software Development for Lost and Found Platform

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of Miljayega, a lost and found platform.
What challenge were you trying to address with Tentackles?
I needed someone to develop our lost and found platform. The idea kept evolving. It started as a website and then evolved into a piece of management software before we landed on a range of products that would help people identify their valuables.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They designed and developed our website from scratch. We filed a patent for it — it was really unique to the market, and they made it possible. When we started, we agreed that we’d get it up on CodeIgniter and then switch to Java later. For now, the platform is on CodeIgniter.
We didn’t have any references or websites to use as an example of what we wanted. There were numerous occasions we had to design things, scrap them, and pull them back again — they were really patient in handling our requests. They didn’t ever say that they couldn’t incorporate something I requested.
What is the team composition?
There were at least three developers and 3–4 resources on their design team. The owner of the company jumped on calls to help guide them.
How did you come to work with Tentackles?
I’d wanted to work on this project since 2015, but I had lots of trouble finding the right vendor for the price. We increased our budgets a little and yet still couldn’t find anyone. I had the skeleton of what I needed in place, outside of the technology. We gave it to a few potential vendors who couldn’t finish it, and I brought the work to Tentackles in 2018. They were able to complete it for me.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around 60 lakh Rupees so far ($82,100 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together since October 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They made something possible that no one had done before — I could proudly file a patent for it. I celebrate that often. I’m really thankful and I admire their capabilities in terms of making things possible.
How did Tentackles perform from a project management standpoint?
I gave them a basic understanding of what I wanted. Tentackles understood my requests via email and phone calls. They were flexible. I don’t know all the tools they used, but they were very supportive and accepted the fact that we made a lot of changes.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They don’t bill me for every second that we spend together. This distinguishes them from other teams that I’ve worked with.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There have been a few instances when individuals aren’t available, and the work is delayed by a day or two. This happens to everybody at times, so I don’t blame them. I’m happy with what they’ve done.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be elaborate in helping them understand what needs to be delivered. The key developer has a slight language barrier, but once you help them understand what needs to be done, they’re great.
Tentackles- A UI/UX Design Agency successfully completed and delivered the project, where they were also given two more sites to design. They had seamless communication throughout the engagement. Overall, the client was happy with the team's professionalism and the collaboration results.
