I'm a medical doctor and the founder and owner of StatDoctor. We're a healthtech company that's a two-sided marketplace between doctors and healthcare facilities.

We needed help with mobile app and admin portal development.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Techne. has built our Android and iOS applications from scratch. The team has also developed a web-based portal for the administration and hospital staff. We provided them with the project's basic wireframes, a logo, and color schemes. Techne. did some design work, and we met with their designers to do further design work.
The team uses Java and has managed all the development work from scratch. We are still working with them for updates and undergoing another development engagement.
Techne. has also done App Store optimization and business planning for us, which we found valuable because we're a clinician company and don't have business people.

We've worked with around six people from Techne., including Gordon, the CEO and founder; a project manager, three developers, and a UI/UX designer.

We've had significant user engagement and a lot of positive feedback about the design and functionality of the platform. We're working with Techne. for our next build and all of our builds.
How did Techne. perform from a project management standpoint?
Techne. has stayed below the budget and ahead of the deadline. The team is also available almost 24/7 for feedback and iterations as needed. We mainly use Slack for communication and leverage email, Zoom, and phone calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Techne. has gone above and beyond just providing technical advice and support. They've been very open and honest about helping us build a functional MVP that meets our budget. The team has also advised us on what features should and shouldn't be included. Gordon and his team have been very upfront about that.
As a person who doesn't know any technical jargon, Gordon has been able to simplify everything into a way of communication that's valuable to me. He's helped me understand how to move my business forward to reach our milestones, gain revenue, and build further in the future.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We're 100% satisfied with their work. I know there are cheaper options out there, and some of my friends have chosen other options only to lose money and turn to Techne. to build their solutions from scratch.

Join Techne.'s initial meetings with an open mind. Try not to be closed with your assumptions of what you think is needed, because it may not be the most effective way to approach it from a technical point of view. Take the initial feedback strongly because Gordon knows what he's talking about.

I approached Techne in regards to building a website for us. This started with doing a discovery meeting to work out our goals and how to proceed. From there Techne got to work on early designs keeping us in the loop and checking in to make sure that we're happy with the direction that it was heading. Once we were happy our content started to get added in, also including any changes that we may want to implement on the way. This was all completed very fast and to a very high standard, allowing us to start marketing before we opened up.

We have had more than 500 bookings made since February.
Many people have found us through looking up Parkour classes meaning our the seo is great and targeting the correct geographical locations.

After that, Techne. has built everything. I’ve provided some UI screens, and the team has developed the software and added a little bit more to it. For example, if a user is looking for a gym trainer, they can log into the app and see all the gyms in the area. The user can purchase a three-day or one-week pass through the app, which connects to the gym’s server.
