I’m the owner of a company that makes carpets for classic cars.

What challenge were you trying to address with SPLIT Development, LLC?

We needed help with our direct-to-consumer sales.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They modified our site’s design to help us get ready for our launch. SPLIT also helped with our functionality. I provided them with bullet points of what I wanted done in written form, and they were able to take care of everything.

Specifically, they added a number of navigation and filter options about vehicle makes and manufacturers. They also changed how the swatches were displayed on the site to help customers better see the materials. I also wanted to add more imagery and videos to depict what we do in our factory. The site itself is built on Shopify.

I worked with one person, Nick (Project Manager).

They came recommended by a friend for their excellent work and fair price.

We’ve spent around $1,500 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since September 2022. This project is nearly complete, and I’ll be hiring them again in the future.

Their communication and ability to stick to deadlines stand out. And they do all of it on a reasonable budget.

I’m having a great time working with them, so there’s nothing I would say.

Go in with a clear scope of work and be able to communicate that clearly. SPLIT will be able to do 100% of the rest.

We needed full front end customization and outstanding UX for our brand new shop. We have been working together even after the shop launch with regards to new integrations and optimizations.

I selected them after announcement in Upwork. I chose them because the portfolio contained projects that most reflect what I was looking for. They hourly tarif and cost estimation was really fair.

This has been an amazing cooperation. They helped me building a Shopify Front end with unique UX, design and functionalities. I appreciate that they are a big team with smooth coordination (each one is a specializing in a different skill) so all the tasks were handled right away. They are fast, efficient ad very knowledgeable in everything that concerns digital marketing.

After launching the site the results were more than what we expected

We were communicating via Upwork. Response time was immediate whereas delivery time was 24 hours. Amazing!

That they help you set up the whole picture: for example SEO, Email Marketing, not just Web Development. Despite the political situation in their country, there haven't been any workflow interruptions.

We provided all the inputs, and then communicated them directly to customer's team. The guys installed and customized Shopify theme real quick. Project delivered with quality and within terms, that may not sound fancy, but those who's in IT industry will agree that it's not that common here ;)

We ourselves are using Slack for work communications, so we'll be quite happy SPLIT guys using it as well. So there was no single problem with communications.

Guys are professional, available, and honest. The last is the most important.

Wish them increase their expertise in Shopify development, custom apps, integrations, etc.

We have an immediate requirement to update our website with some new content. We require 2 new pages to be designed following the colour scheme of our existing website. These 2 new pages will contain text / flat icons (to be designed) with 3 animated CSS based counters and a banner at the top.

We also need a cookie pop-up message. The site is originally based on Middleman (ruby framework), so having experience with static site generators is a plus but otherwise, the skills we need are with HTML, CSS, Photoshop & Illustrator and some minor Javascript.

We needed a website, so we contacted SPLIT Development. We needed an effective tool for our online sales.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired them for the frontend design of our website, using AngularJS. We gave them a description of what we were looking for, and they gave us an offer based on that. We liked how they handled the design process, so we hired them to implement the frontend as well.

I worked with three people from SPLIT: their CEO, a project manager, and a designer. We spoke on a daily basis.

We found them through Upwork and though we considered a few groups for the website design, SPLIT gave us the best proposition. We also liked their portfolio.

We started working with them two months ago. We’re still working on the backend code of the website.

Their work was very high quality, and they were very flexible. They delivered more than what we asked for. They listened to all our comments, and they applied changes accordingly. It’s been a good experience.

They performed excellently—they did everything they were supposed to do, and they did it well. We used Skype to stay in constant contact with their project manager.

They produced two different designs for us, which they were working on at the same time. They had a backup plan when we didn’t like the first version.

No. They’re professional and they worked within the deadlines we provided.
