Please describe your company and your position there.

A nonprofit, initiated and funded by the EIT (European Institute of Innovation and Technology), a body of the European Union, is the largest consortium in the raw materials sector worldwide.

Its vision is to develop raw materials into a major strength for Europe. Its mission is to enable sustainable competitiveness of the European minerals, metals and materials sector along the value chain by driving innovation, education and entrepreneurship.

For what projects/services did your company hire SOHO Creative Group?

A nonprofit needed a web development partner to create a website for Skills for the Future.

What were your goals for this project?

The aim was to inform students, parents and partners about the programme, and to increase the visibility of the programme to a variety of audiences.

We sent out an RfP to 5 different vendors. Overall the deciding factors were quality of previous work and pricing.

Skills for the Future is a groundbreaking secondary education programme, fostering the next generation of entrepreneurs in Europe; empowering them with the insights, skills and confidence to innovate solutions to the numerous and complex challenges ahead.

What was the team composition?

There were 3 team members on the SOHO side, plus the project manager. Communication was channeled through the PM. Team members were UX designer, Wordpress developer & tester.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

My organization relied on SOHO for design of a website for an education project taking place in 3 European countries and we are impressed with the results. The site is multi-lingual, attractive and conveys the success of the project.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication was very clear, project management was well planned and effective. Asana was used for task tracking.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

SOHO Creative Group are professional, responsive and crucially, patient with clients who are novices with website building and branding.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Overall, I can't think of anything :)

SCALER (SCALing European Resources with industrial symbiosis) aims to increase the uptake of industrial symbiosis across Europe. Under the European Union’s Horizon2020 initiative, the project will develop a set of best practices, tools and guidelines, helping businesses and industrial sites work together to ensure sustainable resource use.

Web design, Branding, UX/UI, WordPress website development

What were your goals for this project?

To successfully scale up the delivery of value embedded in European physical resources (materials, water and energy) through efficient and quick implementation of industrial symbiosis across the whole European territory.

By achieving industrial symbiosis, European industrial companies will become more resource efficient and therefore more competitive. Territories will be revitalised with industrial links. Communities will be involved in the transformation of the European industrial system.

How did you select this vendor?

By narrowing down to 4 vendors, selecting the best and most complete proposal.

SCALER was launched in November 2017, and will have a duration of 2.5 years. We first did a workshop with SOHO Creative Group and from there, they created the visual branding and website design.

What was the team composition?

4 people in total worked on our project, including a project manager. Communication was efficient.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

SOHO Creative Group developed a beautiful and effective visual identity and website for our project. They demonstrated great professionalism and collaboration while being extremely attentive to our needs and feedback. The team is great to work with and communication was very easy, we would work with them again.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication was easy and clear. Deadlines were also respected on time.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The good level of service, efficient project management, friendly team members etc

Are there any areas for improvement?

Not from our point of view, we are very happy with the outcome
