We gave them Figma screens to start with and went through what we were looking for. This included the level of cybersecurity we needed and our goal of connecting a payment platform in the future. Simelabs is working on the front- and backend of the website and everything that is related to the database and matching algorithm. Simelabs is developing our MVP and guiding us through all of the possibilities and options we have with the platform.

We don’t have any hard metrics because the work is not completed, but every time we meet with them, we’re glad that we've decided to partner with them. They bring lots of technical knowledge and have been able to find a balance between providing what we want and pushing us forward.
How did Simelabs perform from a project management standpoint?
Even though there is a time difference, we have been able to meet with them consistently. Our project manager has impressed us; he is very involved and does a great job translating our needs to the developers. They ensure that we’re organized, and their team has a lot of knowledge about our industry.
This project has been complex, but they’ve done a great job. We communicate via WhatsApp, phone calls, and emails. The team is highly responsive and communicative.

I’m a marketing manager for Eye Level. We franchise learning centers that run math and English programs for children.

What challenge were you trying to address with Logiticks?
Our marketing department runs five national events to recruit new students, and we were looking to scale each event. We engaged Logiticks to help us build websites for four of those five events.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Logiticks developed the backends of four event websites. Each site provides event information, processes payments, and tracks registration. Other key features include an interactive map and sending automatic responses. We created the frontends in HTML and CSS while they built the backends using JavaScript and SQL.
What is the team composition?
We work with up to four people at a time.
How did you come to work with Logiticks?
Before I joined the department, the team had built a website—both its frontend and backend—for Eye Level. We had found one of their developers on Upwork; after working with him, we started a relationship with the larger Logiticks team.

We started working together in 2015, and the project is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our events doubled in attendance the year that Logiticks helped us create the websites. The sites’ backend has handled the consistent growth ever since, and their functionality definitely contributed to our conversion rates.
We continue to work with Logiticks, which is a testament to their high-quality work. The team has fulfilled everything we’ve asked of them. At our request, they’ve also incorporated new features, including notifications for when an event is full and a change in how the interactive map conducts searches.
How did Logiticks perform from a project management standpoint?
The team consistently meets deadlines and replies quickly to inquiries despite time zone differences. They’re also highly responsive to any issues we encounter and will fix them promptly. We once asked Logiticks to change some things after the original project was complete and their team had moved onto another engagement. They graciously made time for us and made the adjustments quickly. We communicate using video chats, phone calls, and email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Logiticks has accomplished our goals so far. The team is also willing to make changes to completed work quickly when we request it. They’re flexible and don’t give pushback.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Sometimes, their work contains spelling and grammar errors that we needed to correct before it’s launched on a customer-facing platform. But they never make major mistakes.

For a period of time we paid for a project manager from Logiticks to assist us with these projects. During that time the project management was excellent.
What did you find most impressive about Logiticks?
They were able to quickly build a team to meet our needs. A number of times, they provided a specialized resource at short notice when we were unable to access one ourselves.
Are there any areas Logiticks could improve?
Areas for improvement are testing/quality assurance; often our own internal test team would uncover issues with work completed by Logiticks. There were also a few occasions when the estimate or quote provided by Logiticks was not representative of the complete work package. As a result, our project costs and timelines blew out. Generally speaking, though, they were fairly cost effective.
