We are the first company in this field aiming at creating a digital platform of this kind, so we were really hoping to get the best possible help.

How did you select this vendor?

We heard amazing feedback from other companies who used Scriptics and since the first few meetings with Vali, he seemed to perfectly understand our needs.

They built our new website, pages including a homepage with different services to purchase, a few pages with overview of our sitters, a blog, a shop, and most of all a search function filtering our sitters through location, availability, skills and language for our clients to search them. Clients can also message sitters there. Sessions are online and in person and coupons for group bookings are available for both.

What was the team composition?

Vali assigned a few members of his team different tasks. We held regular calls with him and especially Andrei and Liviu.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Their website helped us get found more online and we have increased our clients significantly since then!

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Great project management from Vali, they were really responsive if there was a problem and accommodating with our requests.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The responsiveness of staff and care of Vali's, who is a great leader and aims at always bring the customer first. They have been very clear explaining IT terms that my co-founder and I are not very familiar with, and this has been really helpful in terms of change of ideas or problems.

I can't think of anything that could be improved, we are definitely working with this company again!

Launched in 2020, Opera Zero is a natural, artisanal beauty range conceived in London and founded in Bologna in a small-scale atelier.

We hired them for web development, but also trusted them to assist us and advise us with web-related strategy decisions. We had already started working on the website with another web developer, but this fell through. Scriptics took our project on board when it was in pretty bad shape and managed to turn it around brilliantly.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed a visually beautiful and user-friendly bilingual e-commerce website (Italian/English) for our newly launched natural beauty brand. We chose to work on Shopify.

It was extremely important for us to have a website in line with our brand identity that is visually impactful as we are establishing ourselves on the competitive beauty market. We also needed a website that is easy to use as we are an e-commerce entity.

We think that this website will have a very beneficial impact on our business. Scriptics handled very professionally the language-translation implementation despite a flaw in the original coding by the previous agency.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I had worked with them on another project, during which they greatly delivered, so I knew we could trust them with this launch. We also needed someone who understood and supported the project also on a personal level and who was in line with our values, and Scriptics proved to be understanding, supportive, and enthusiastic beyond our expectations.

We contacted them with not even a half-made website and asked them to take over - we had the original theme and frame but they had to implement the rest with our notes and feedback. We provided a list of key concerns and our ideal timeframe.

They were very patient with us, as it took us a long time to put together our content and visuals due to the complexity of the project and the COVID situation. They helped us immensely in managing the project at the time of the pandemic. They consulted us by providing guidance.

What was the team composition?

On our side, we worked as a 2 people team and on their side as 3 people.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Not yet as we are not yet actively trading, but we unveiled the website to glowing reviews and had extremely positive feedback so far! We will find out more in the near future, but we are extremely happy with the results.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

They were very flexible and adapted to our framework, but also suggested how we could improve it. Project-management was effective on their side, they were super attentive to our needs and effective and fast with problem-solving. Deadlines were met - if anything, they were happy to push us with our deadlines too and advise us on web strategy.

They were very detail-oriented in managing the project; clear about the deliveries and output; and communicative and proactive in arranging calls. They were always responsive. We communicated largely on Google Hangouts and via email.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

When they discovered an issue with the multilanguage set-up they took on a lot of extra work and extra effort to try and solve the situation proactively, without even us knowing. We were not aware of the situation and they immediately provided us with solutions.

We were very touched by their understanding and patience all throughout the project as new unexpected developments continued to occur during the height of Coronavirus crisis. They always had a positive, encouraging, and supportive stance.

No, we were happy with everything!

Scriptics was provided functional specs along with overall UI design and user flow. They stood up a development site, programed all functionality, created custom submission form and stood up a directory for all submitted graphic assets.

Scriptics had at least 3 individuals working on the project, along with a project manager to communicate progress and ask for any clarification where need be. Very friendly, English speaking front end, back end, and data experts.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

I have received nothing but positive feedback from clients, and have found the tool to be very helpful in reducing multiple proof iterations going back and forth before final product purchase.

Their project management was very effective. We had a scheduled weekly stand ups, along with ad hoc meetings when needed.

As results you get all startups that match the keyword and the startup has its own profile that the user can view.

For us, scriptics is like our own development team, so the collaboration has a very strong impact on our company.

We divided the project into monthly task packages and listed the tasks in a Kanban Board. There they were pushed into the respective process phase by the development team (To do, in progress, feedback, done)

What did you find most impressive about this company?

No matter what time, I always had the feeling I'd get the best support. Also, the developers are very experienced, which strengthened that feeling.

If one or the other task could not be completed in a month, the feedback could come earlier.

Scriptics was originally hired to recover my main website after it was hacked. Later, I extended their service to provide webdesign, then hosting, then ongoing IT support.

The project is still ongoing. The goal of this project is to launch and maintain a group of websites that generate monthly income. The websites need to be visually appealing, handle large volumes of traffic and be kept up to date with changing technologies and industry trends including mobile.

This vendor was recommended from Upwork, when it was originally called Elance.com

Describe the project in detail.

The initial project consisted of Scriptics performing a recovery on my main website after it was hacked. After they recovered all of my data, they put security measures in place as well as a system for backing up the data frequently. Then they moved on to offering this same support for all the websites under ownership. A few months later, Scriptics then migrated all of my websites to their servers, where they maintain hosting and content delivery.

What was the team composition?

I interfaced with a Project Manager who also happens to be one of the founding partners.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In the 5 years that I have been working with the Scriptics team, I have experienced less downtime then working 1 week with both GoDaddy and Hostmonster. I literally might have had no downtime in the last 2 years.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow is extremely effective. As Scriptics has grown through the years, the communication has remained excellent. If I have an inquiry at any time of the day, they get back to me within minutes. Although they are located in another time zone, they work hours that mimic those of their customers so they are available when you need them most. The team is also very knowledgeable therefore communication is easy as they are well versed in anything that I want to accomplish with them.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The customer support of the Scriptics team is amazing. The response time to any inquiry I might have is in minutes. They are also very good at what they do, therefore when they quote timing for a project they are spot on, if they don't deliver early. Every communication is pleasant and the Scriptics team loves to over deliver. It's evident that they pride themselves in customer satisfaction and you can feel that in email exchanges, instant messages and the quality of their work. I have recommended the Scriptics team to personal friends and their experiences have been just as great.

There are no areas of improvement from my perspective; this is a top notch organization.

We hired Scriptics in late 2015 to supplement in-house development in getting our new website up and launched by our deadline.

They subsequently took over all development operations and successfully saw us through that launch, continued to provide support and maintain the site, and have since helped us launch a new, rebranded site in 2018.

Our goals for the latest iteration of the site were to build it on a CMS, allowing flexibility for the internal team to make content updates as needed:

  • Create a number of templates to provide options for the various kinds of pages required
  • Ensure the site was mobile optimized
  • Integrate with our marketing automation tool (Marketo)
  • Ensure lead gen forms had the proper functionality to be in compliance with CCPA and GDPR regulations

How did you select this vendor?

My predecessor actually chose this vendor so I'm not sure what the selection process entailed.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

They work with our internal design team to implement Wordpress templates based on Sketch/Zeplin files we provide. The development team works directly with designers on our side, using Trello for project management.

They built forms for lead gen and event registration, syncing with Marketo for tracking. They provide ongoing support for site development, updates, suggesting relevant plugins and processes. They work with us to set up proper analytics and make improvements to functionality where needed.

What was the team composition?

They have a development team comprised of multiple developers who own various aspects of projects, with a project manager who routes the work appropriately and is the main point of contact for kick-offs and questions.

Various members of the team seemed to focus on specific tasks (ie: we work with a particular team member for analytics).

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Building the rebranded site on a CMS and in a way that allows the most flexibility for our design and content teams has been immensely helpful in allowing us to independently make content updates and add new pages to the site, lowering our overall development costs in the long term. We're able to surface more valuable content to our audiences because we're able to move quicker.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

They have a dedicated project manager on their side who is incredibly responsive and works closely with our designers to determine resources and assets needed for each project.

This arrangement is very effective as it means multiple projects can be worked on in parallel since they're assigned to the capabilities of team members on the development side.

It also means there is one person who is aware of not only all active projects for our site, but has extensive knowledge of past projects and can provide valuable insight on how and why certain directions are preferable.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their support. They are available at all hours to help with tasks and questions both large and small. They go above and beyond to meet our deadlines and goals and act as true partners in the success of our site, proactively offering suggestions and expertise that will improve or enhance the site.

Are there any areas for improvement?

In general, there's always room for improvement in the design to development hand off, but that's a shared responsibility on both our sides and Scriptics, as mentioned before, already proactively suggests ways to streamline our process. So nothing glaring stands out here.

I havent had time to get the data at this point about the engagement or other impact. But if you compare our new site with the old site, you would clearly see the differences.
