What was the scope of their involvement?

S-Metric has developed and customized our ERP system from scratch, including the frontend, and integrated it into our warehouse’s management system. They helped our employees transition to this on-site software, including some training.

Currently, they continue to provide maintenance to our platform.

What is the team composition?

We’ve mainly worked with a project manager from their team, but more people have worked on the project.

How did you come to work with S-Metric?

We found them through word of mouth. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $400,000 with them so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2011, and the engagement is ongoing.

They’ve exceeded our expectations, and we’re 100% satisfied with their work so far.

How did S-Metric perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been above average with project management regarding sticking to schedules and budgets. In terms of communication, we typically use in-person meetings and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them? 

They’ve been a personable team throughout the engagement.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on — I’m satisfied with their work.

I’m the director of technology for Abraham Lincoln University, an online university.

What challenge were you trying to address with S-Metric?

We needed a custom software development partner.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

S-Metric built two custom software systems using Microsoft Dynamics 365, one for accounting and one for student information. After that, they merged the two systems in order to improve functionality and accessibility.

The accounting system pulls all accounting data, including inventory information, in order to centralize several tasks for the accounting department. The team customized the system based on the interviews performed by the development team.

The internal student information system is part of the accounting system and is synced with admissions to create an easier and user-friendly platform for tasks such as student aid, student payment files, and more. The team now provides ongoing maintenance and support.

What is the team composition? 

We’re working with 3–4 people, including Joshua (Practice Owner), our main point of contact, a UI/UX designer, two developers, and a QA tester.

How did you come to work with S-Metric?

They were hired by my predecessor prior to my onboarding.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership with S-Metric started in November 2015.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The new system we have is more efficient and easier to use. On top of that, the feedback from our staff and students have been extremely positive. We’re happy to work with S-Metric, and we’re completely satisfied with their services.

How did S-Metric perform from a project management perspective?

They’re doing a great job. We have in-person meetings, and their team integrates with ours daily to provide support. We communicate via Facebook Messenger and phone, and S-Metric usually responds within an hour.

What did you find most impressive about them? 

They’ve exceeded our expectations, and they’re well worth the investment. In addition, they’re reasonably priced than our previous vendor.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They prefer face-to-face discussions, which is fine, but we’d like to have documentation as a reference, too.

Be as detailed with your short- and long-term needs, expectations, and goals.
