Pixelmatters have directly impacted out company OKRs, so those metrics are what we have used to judge success. Largely this comes down to significantly increased applications on the site.

Everything is always delivered in a timely manner and they are very open to our feedback, always willing to listen and change the designs, whilst also providing convincing arguments for their initial design choices that help us rethink the work and ultimately build a better product.

I’m the director of product development at a career site for the financial services sector.

What challenge were you trying to address with Pixelmatters?

We needed their team to redesign our existing website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our company has been planning to upgrade our outdated website since we wanted to monetize the candidates’ segment of our platform. Pixelmatters' ongoing work centers on redesigning each section of the website according to our preferred theme and their design recommendations. 

We’ve given them a high-level project brief, and they regularly send their work over for our team and our internal stakeholders’ feedback and approval. Their team has taken over our UX/UI design pipeline and has so far completed refurbishing three major sections of our website.

What is the team composition?

I primarily work with two resources from Pixelmatters, including one of their partners and a designer.

How did you come to work with Pixelmatters?

Our sister company had already partnered with Pixelmatters in the past, so we didn’t hesitate to reach out to them when we needed similar services. We initially contacted other agencies, but it was their team that impressed us with a fair price point and an evident understanding of our project goals.

We’ve spent €50,000–€60,000 (approximately $59,000–$71,000 USD) so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We kicked off our engagement with Pixelmatters in January 2021, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We haven’t launched our newly designed website yet, but I can confidently say that Pixelmatters continues to delight us with deliverables that meet our design needs. Our internal stakeholders have had nothing negative to say about our website’s new look, and they haven’t submitted any change requests either. Through this improved business platform that Pixelmatters has helped us build, we’re looking forward to optimizing our operations by offering seamless registrations and job applications.

How did Pixelmatters perform from a project management standpoint?

We use Slack as our main communication channel. Pixelmatters is always on top of their project management game – they deliver what they promise and are always on track with our project timelines; I don’t think they’ve missed a deadline yet. Additionally, they organize their tasks well and keep detailed meeting notes.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re most impressed with Pixelmatters’ ability to deliver creative solutions.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything that needs improvement. We’re truly pleased with Pixelmatters’ performance.

Always give them honest feedback. After all, Pixematters is a responsible and professional team that takes feedback seriously and strives to meet their client’s needs.

What challenge were you trying to address with Pixelmatters?

We needed to extend our capacity, bring in specialist knowledge, and tackle new high-impact projects we couldn't deliver internally.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had two projects that needed to get done, and Pixelmatters accomplished both. They helped us deliver our new iOS and Android mobile apps, which help streamline prospect testing and show our service. They also delivered an enterprise portal that lets our customers experience our reporting and analytics capabilities. Pixelmatters handled the end-to-end delivery, including project management, design, scoping, and delivery.

We found them through an online search. We chose them over other options because they had high ratings, were close to my geographic location, had a great culture fit, were referred to me, and had a great founder.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from June 2025 to December 2025.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We accelerated our ability to test our products and show them to customers without an integration. It went from weeks of integration to a near-instant ability to test. We had some fixed-time/variable-scope work that was delivered on time, which was pretty important to unlocking conversations with several prospects at an event. It led to more engagement, new leads, and much simpler commercial discussions backed by real demos.

How did Pixelmatters perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered on time, were organized, communicative, and showed care, transparency, and partnership. We communicated via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It felt like a natural extension of our team, rather than an external provider. I also really appreciated having senior engineers and stakeholders jump in at important moments and provide guidance and recommendations to both teams on how to unlock difficult problems.

Are there any areas they could improve?

A bit more hands-on product management work would have been nice, but I understand that they lacked the domain expertise to be as impactful there.
