Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Pattern was engaged to develop a revamped rider app and a customized customer-facing app for ANDO, tailored to our unique food delivery operations. The scope included user experience redesign, backend integration with our logistics and payment systems, and feature enhancements such as kitchen check-in, delivery radius tracking, and payment collection. Key deliverables included the deployment of both iOS and Android versions of the apps, admin dashboards, and staging environments for testing. Pattern is now supporting us with the rollout of these apps in new markets, starting with Rwanda.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Reduced aggregator dependency: Successfully shifted a significant portion of orders from third-party platforms to Ando's direct channel, reducing commission expenses

Improved customer retention: Built-in loyalty program features led to measurable increases in repeat orders and customer lifetime value

Operational efficiency: Consolidated multiple brands into one app, dramatically reducing customer acquisition costs compared to managing separate brand apps

What stood out the most was the level of personal involvement from the founders, Wajeeh and Yahya. They don’t just build tech - they invest emotionally and strategically in your success. They genuinely care about your growth, work closely with your team, and celebrate every milestone as if it were their own. That level of ownership and partnership is rare and deeply appreciated.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Pattern Labs could have done differently?

One area for improvement would be setting more realistic timelines at the start of certain projects, to better match the complexity of the work involved. That said, despite a few delays, the team consistently delivered high-quality outputs and ensured that the final results met our expectations.
