What specific goals or objectives did you hire NineTwoThree to accomplish?Determine if work completed by technician is correct.Create a mechanism to check the technicians work in real time.If the work is incorrect generate a note of what is incorrect.

**SOLUTION**
How did you find NineTwoThree?Online SearchWhy did you select NineTwoThree over others?High ratingsGood value for costCompany values alignedHow many teammates from NineTwoThree were assigned to this project?2-5 EmployeesDescribe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables. For the services we provide our clients we have implemented a repair order quality review. This review is manual and confirms that all information on a repair order is correct. This process is built to ensure that our customers are correctly invoiced. We started with 923 to try to automate this process using AI. Most attributes of a repair order can be analyzed using if then logic but the technicians leave comments on the repair order that can also determine if the order is correct or not. Our original goal was to have 923 analyze the comments using AI to determine the correctness of the RO. We followed this path and gathered data trying to complete this task before realizing our scope was too narrow. The repair order quality team does not only review comments, parts, labor, tasks to determine correctness they review the entire RO. We then decided to expand our scope to review the entire RO with the goal of determining the correctness of the RO.In an ideal world we would have had millions of historical data points for the team to review. This was not the case due to the structure of our data that presented challenges when trying to see historical changes for the 923 team to analyze. We worked on building this historical data in real time for them to analyze but this provided a relatively small sample size.Even with this small sample size 923 delivered on the goal of analyzing the correctness of the RO. They would not only determine the correctness of the RO but provide a score of how confident the model was in the results. They then went a step further and worked on pointing out the exact error in the repair order and what the failure reason was. We continued to go through testing delivering on our next goal of providing not only that the RO was correct or incorrect but also pointing out where and what the errors were.By this point in our project we had determined that there would be too much risk in completely replacing the repair order quality review team.  We shifted focus from replacing the repair order quality team to generating a message directly to the technician with the AI Models results. This solution, which was recommended by 923, eliminates this risk by displaying an error/quality check message to the tech that they could review or ignore. Instead of waiting until the last possible moment to check for correctness we are getting the root cause of the issue. The final deliverable was to create an API that could take the details of the Repair Order and deliver a score with error reasons for the repair order. This final piece was delivered by the 923 team. The 923 team was fantastic to work with and taught me a lot about ML and AI. The team was patient while we worked through solutions to help them and always delivered on time. This was our first step into AI/ML and we have learned a lot to set us up in the future. Our biggest issue that 923 was able to overcome was data. We did not have the historical records to be able to supply for the model learning. Even with a small data set 923 was able to deliver great results. Rather than just taking our requirements and building something they took the time to learn our internal processes and make suggestions on how we could implement the solutions theyve developed.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?Determine the models accuracy - overall the model was around 75-80% accurate when comparing the models predictions to what the repair order quality team actually did.Accuracy by cost - the model was able to determine the correct result with a high level on confidence on RO's with the a cost less than $500. Our biggest risk when replacing the repair order quality team is invoicing the customer the incorrect amount which results in either over charging the customer or under billing them and missing out on revenue. The 923 was able to demonstrate the accuracy in costs buckets and the possible dollar risk with each bucket. While we did not move forward with replacing the quality team this has set the framework to review orders at certain cost thresholds to reduce risk but still have a significant impact.Model score - the model will generate a score for 100% of the RO's that are passed through. With this score we are able to determine if we should display the message to the end user or leave it alone. If the model is not confident in the results then we can choose not to display the result.Failure reasons - Providing not only the score of the RO and if it was a failure but stating where the error occured and why it was generating. The 923 delivers this on every RO that is passed through to them. Comparing with notes left by the quality team we have achieved an almost exact match and caught errors they have missed. By producing these failure reasons this is a significant feature when generating the quality check message to technicians. Rather than simply stating something is wrong, double check your work (which they would likely ignore) we are able to generate a check that say X thing is wrong with this section of the order. Quality check API - By developing this API we now have a mechanism to get results from the model and share them with the end user. In our case this will be when the technician completes a job we will pass the order details to the API to return the score and results. Implementing this mechanism will have a siginificant impact on the overall quality of the RO's because we are implementing a check at the source. In our current state when a technician completes an RO it can take the quality team 6-8+ hours to review the order. This check is now happening in seconds while the work is still fresh in the technicians mind. If the quality team finds an error they will flag it and send back to the technician who will correct, which can take an additional 4-6 hours. With this check happening at the time of completion we should see an overall decrease in time spent reviewing orders by the quality team, time to detect errors, and reduce time needed to complete and invoice the customer.Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs? The 923 team always met timelines for deliverables and quickly responded to my teams needs. Because they took the time to get to know our business and learn our process they were not only able to adjust to changes in scope but were also able to recommend ways to implement solutions. They set up our weekly touchpoints and were always available to schedule additional time as needed. They shared constant updates on the progress and results of their work. One of my favorite things about them was their ability to share the results of their work in a clear way that could be understood even if you are unfamiliar with AI/ML. This was my teams first time working with AI/ML and they were able to eliminate any confusion we had on the process/results which can be very complex. The team always escalated potential blockers early on the process to give my team time to action. If we were delayed in actioning these blockers they continued to work and provided creative short term solutions while our plan was implemented. I greatly appreciate their commitment to the project and the way they were able to adjust on the fly when needed to deliver the best product.  They are committed to providing the best experience to their customers and have always delivered on time. What was your primary form of communication with NineTwoThree?Virtual MeetingEmail or Messaging AppWhat did you find most impressive or unique about this company?Their ability to learn about our business and understand our goal was truly impressive. Going from knowing nothing about a company and the way they work to delivering the results they did was impressive. As I have mentioned this was our first time working with AI/ML so we really didnt know what was needed or what to expect. This was epsecially true in how our data was structured. What I found to be unique about 923 was their willingness to work with us while we built our historical data. It started with manual data queries and uploading to a shared filed before automating this process. Even during the early days of the project they were able to deliver fantastic results and learn more about our business. Because of the process we implemented with 923 we have set ourselves for future work in the AI space. The final thing I was impressed with is their communication and ability to summarize results. We were constantly updated on their progress. They were able to provide great detail on how they acheived the results without causing confusion and answered any questions we had clearly. The AI/ML world an be overwhelming and complex but when talking through it with them I felt I had all the information necessary to make a decision and provide direction. Are there any areas for improvement or something NineTwoThree could have done differently? No the only problem we faced during our project was data. Mainly that we had not set up our data to track historical changes over time making it difficult to analyze. We have learned so much from this team and our currently working on projects to improve our data for future work with AI. Would love to work with this team again.

It's a team that likes to do things its own way, not always the best way. 923 came in with different (and probably better) ideas for setting up the right environments -- which ended up clashing with the internal team's preferences. Though I know 923 was probably right, these decisions were outside of the scope of the project and I wish they had been able to conform to the internal group's preferences sooner.

**Feedback Summary**: NineTwoThree met the client’s requirements and worked smoothly with their team. NineTwoThree’s team had experience working together and was proactive. They met deadlines and used monday.com for project management. NineTwoThree had active communication through Slack and was always available.
"“NineTwoThree finished the project by the expected date and stayed on budget.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of a fintech startup in its seed stage. I have a technical background.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with NineTwoThree?

We needed to develop a mobile application to showcase our services. I have a technical background and wanted a company that could work with my internal team.

We’re a consumer-oriented fintech, and our long-term goal is to be a B2B company. We needed to develop our capabilities and services directly to brokers since brokers have a long sales cycle.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

NineTwoThree designed and developed native iOS and Android applications. They started the project by conducting market and users research with interviews, and their findings were the basis for the app’s design and development proposal.

NineTwoThree designed the app’s UI/UX using Figma and generated the app’s flows, user personas, and user journeys. After NineTwoThree completed the design phase, we decided to move forward with them for the app’s development. NineTwoThree worked with our engineering team and developed the iOS app using Swift and the Android app using Kotling.

Our company’s goal is to change how users interact with markets because most people don’t think in terms of financial language. Our app takes a regular idea; for instance, if a user wants to invest in cancer research, they can enter that into the app, and an AI will do research and construct an investment portfolio. Users can select an investment option and monitor their investments through the app.

Our app allows any user to create their own exchange-traded funds in a natural and easy way. Our in-house team developed the app’s AI. We built an AI that understands financial language and constructs an optimized portfolio.

What is the team composition?

We worked with Oleksandr (Android Developer), Katerina (iOS Developer), Zoriana (Junior Project Manager), Andrew (Founder & CEO), and Pavel (CTO).

How did you come to work with NineTwoThree?

I found NineTwoThree on Clutch. I have experience working as a CTO and have worked with several contractor teams in the past. An important thing for me was working with a company whose team leaders were local in Boston so I could have close contact with them.

I talked to two other companies that work on app development in my area. I chose NineTwoThree because I could speak to Pavel in a technical depth that I didn’t find in the other companies I interviewed. We both had experience as CTOs, which helped us have technical clarity and debate different approaches.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $250,000 with NineTwoThreee.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working in the design phase in July 2022, and NineTwoThree started the development phase in October 2022. They’ve finished the app’s development and will provide maintenance as needed. NineTwoThree will also assist us with the app’s launch process to publish it to the app stores.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

NineTwoThree met my requirements, and our teams worked excellently together. We had access to NineTwoThree’s GitHub repositories early on and could see what they were working on. Our engineering teams had an excellent rapport and worked as one team.

How did NineTwoThree perform from a project management standpoint?

NineTwoThree finished the project by the expected date and stayed on budget. They used monday.com for project management, and our team had access to it, although we didn’t use it. I could check what they were working on on monday.com, but we predominantly used Slack.

We worked smoothly together, and our teams had active communication through Slack. Zoriana was amazing at keeping the project on track. She was phenomenal throughout the process and was always available to help raise questions.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was most impressed with NineTwoThree’s team. I was looking for a team that had been working together for a long time. I’ve encountered other contractor companies whose team hasn’t worked together as much. NineTwoThree team had been working together for six years, which shows in their work and process. The designer knew what was possible to develop and what wasn’t, and this was a key ingredient for our project’s success.

On the development side, Oleksandr was super proactive and thoughtful. He was very open and vocal about working with my team effectively, which was something I hadn’t found in other design firms. Andrew and Pavel had engineering backgrounds that helped us work smoothly — we spoke the same language.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything for NineTwoThree to improve. I was worried we would have a problem, but everything was perfect, and we all benefited from our relationship.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommend ensuring NineTwoThree’s team works together on an individual basis. This didn’t feel like a contract development team because we all worked great together. I also recommend establishing this culture of collaboration from the beginning of your project and keeping it throughout the engagement.

**The Review** — Dec 29, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: The algorithm accurately predicts about 60%–70% of home sales and improves every month. NineTwoThree Venture Studio’s team stands out for their knowledge and experience. They’re well-integrated into the internal team, communicating well through Slack, Zoom, Google Meet, and monday.com.
"“The founding staff is a treasure trove of insight, and everyone is incredibly strong at implementation.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the co-founder and CEO of Dataflik. We provide marketing data to real estate investors and agents. We predict what homes will sell off-market to investors and when to sell on-market with an agent. Therefore, agents can use this to generate more listings.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with NineTwoThree Venture Studio?

As a startup, we couldn’t afford a CTO, so we needed to scale our development staff.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

NineTwoThree Venture Studio has built our UI, our dashboard, and all our algorithmic models for real estate agents. They work on full stack development on the UX/UI side, machine learning, and data science. Our largest projects are between 2,000–3,000 hours.

Our internal team works on prototyping, and NineTwoThree Venture Studio implements the automation and architecture of our company. They primarily use Figma for the UI. The development stack is a combination of 6–7 languages, including AWS, React, and SQL.

What is the team composition?

We work with eight teammates: Paul (CTO), Andrew (CEO), a project manager, a QA engineer, two full stack developers, and two machine-learning software engineers.

How did you come to work with NineTwoThree Venture Studio?

I found them from a PPC ad.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $350,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in March 2022, and our partnership is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Thanks to the algorithm that NineTwoThree Venture Studio has helped us construct, we predict accurately about 60%–70% of home sales. We’re one of the top five companies in the industry. We’re pretty happy with that, and it gets better every month.

How did NineTwoThree Venture Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

NineTwoThree Venture Studio has been great. They’re pretty integrated into our daily staff meetings and work. Before them, we had a satellite office and a lot of overseas development. However, the language barriers were too rough, and communication was poor, so we swapped agencies.

We use Slack for our daily conversations and a combination of Google Meet and Zoom for our video calls. Additionally, we use monday.com for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The biggest difference marker is their knowledge. The team that supports and executes the implementation has vast knowledge and experience. Moreover, the founding staff is a treasure trove of insight, and everyone is incredibly strong at implementation.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t want to touch anything. If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Outline exactly what you need in thorough detail and take notes of everything. If they understand your vision well, they can add a lot of value.

Please describe your company and your position there.

Dock is a customer collaboration platform. I'm the CEO of the company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire NineTwoThree Venture Studio, and what were your goals?

We hired NineTwoThree to build out a number of features in the application, including Security Profiles and integrations with video providers. Our goal was to increase the speed of our product development while maintaining a high code quality.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

923 impressed us from the beginning. Andrew was fantastic to work with when it came to scoping the project. Pavel and Tanya were amazing throughout the process as we moved into development.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The project included both front and backend work. Our tech stack is built on Javascript, React, Typescript, and GraphQL. The key deliverables were our Security profiles which included a complex admin flow, but also a streamlined customer experience. We also built integrations with Zoom and Gong.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The team featured a project manager, developer and CTO.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

923 delivered an exceptional product right on schedule. They did exactly what we asked them to build with a really high code quality and very little oversight on our end.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing that comes top of mind! We love working with 923. It's more expensive than internal engineers, but the speed and quality makes up for that cost.

The project has successfully saved dozens of work hours and halved the cost from their previous vendor. The partners will continue to add functionalities into the apps.
""Their full-time employees speak perfect English and are a joy to work with.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the General Manager for ConferenceSource, we do meetings and events for BioTech companies all over the world.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire NineTwoThree Venture Studio, and what were your goals?

We were using multiple apps for registration, sign in, venue management, agenda management and compliance. Non of them were perfect and non of them talked to each other.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

After researching off the shelf solutions for several months I got 3 referrals from industry contacts for groups that could build a custom solution. I start evaluating responses the minute I reach out to someone. 923 was the first to respond, I spoke with a senior team member for the discovery call and had a detailed proposal w/in 48 hours - before I had even an initial response from one company (so they were eliminated). The deciding factor to go with 923 came down to their communication, clearly articulated technical expertise and the quality of every team member I spoke with.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

After my initial attempt at a scope of work, 923 came back with detailed questions and suggestions. They then put together a timeline and agreed to a weekly call cadence. We had clear milestones and had to finish X before we could move on to Y - all tracked in Monday.com. Phase one was supposed to take 30 days, they did it in 15. We used React JS + Node.JS & iOS/ipad.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

5 in total, 3 that I interacted with - Senior PM, junior PM & partner. We had at least 1 designer and 1 programmer, with others helping as needed.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Most importantly, we looked like heroes in front of our first client. We also saved dozens of work hours and the cost was 1/2 of our previous vendor. We will be adding functionality for the next 12 months, so more outcomes on the way.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Weekly calls with dev team, management jumping in as needed. All documented with attention to detail in Monday.com

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The level of professionalism from the partners to the junior developers in the Ukraine. Their full-time employees speak perfect English and are a joy to work with.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Can't think of any.

**The Review** — Sep 28, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: NineTwoThree Venture Studio shortened the client's timelines from hours to minutes. The team was deeply empathetic to the client's needs with respect to their time, budget, and requests. They were also quick to respond, which showed their keen attention to detail.
""We loved the warmth that paired well with the precise execution of exactly what we wanted.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am a Partner at OnCenter, a strategy consulting firm.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire NineTwoThree Venture Studio, and what were your goals?

We hired NineTwoThree to build a custom web app platform that helps users/teams organize strategies and goals, all on one page. OnCenter had prototyped the "Strategy Timeline" deliverable for several years in Google Slides, with worthwhile success with clients. We wanted a faster, more simple-to-use tool that allowed us to quickly build strategies on the fly. Our goal was to have a platform we could onboard users to quickly and they could dive in right away to work on their company, department, or personal strategies.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had a personal referral from a trusted friend who is currently building another project with them. This referral was huge. Andrew's professionalism, Tanya's operational communication, and the dev team's delivery was all super helpful and informative in helping us make a decision.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The project was a ~2-3 month build of a web-app. It functions similarly to a Trello/Kanban board with different "cards" that represent "Priorities" and "Objectives." The phases revolved around building out key components of the software -- first the information hierarchy, then the iterative arrows, then finally the "Present" mode. We used Slack and Monday.com for consistent communication.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Tanya (VP of Operations) and Anna (Project Account Manager) worked very closely with us on a weekly basis to communicate the updates to the software, and the questions/responses from the Dev team. I am unsure on what their positions are.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Normally, Strategy Timelines would take hours and hours to build. With the software, it takes us minutes for us to thoughtfully introduce and build strategies that can easily help our prospects and clients with their toughest strategic questions.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Phenomenally quick to respond. Very thoughtful with keen attention to detail. Clear, to the point yet very kind. We loved the warmth that paired well with the precise execution of exactly what we wanted. Worldclass timeliness and execution.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Deep empathetic care for us as clients, paired with respect of our time, budget, and requests. They're the dream team. We literally get both -- great products with great service at a great price. I couldn't have asked for anything more from them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

During the development of the SOW, if there were any areas you thought we might want to include, offer your feedback for features then if possible!

**The Review** — Aug 30, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: NineTwoThree Venture Studio has delivered a user-friendly iOS app. Although the app hasn't been launched, the client is pleased with how the team's brought their vision to life. They've been efficient partners who've shown a genuine interest in the app's success and communicated via Zoom and phone.
"“They’ve taken our broad vision and narrowed it down to give us a solid, user-friendly product.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a team manager for an influencer booking application. Our app connects influencers to businesses and brands so that companies can book them more easily.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with NineTwoThree Venture Studio?

We needed to engage a development company to help us develop an iOS app and launch it on the app store.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

When we started working with NineTwoThree, we had a lot of ideas for the application. First, we spoke to the team about our concept and provided screenshots of how we wanted the app to look. They helped us hone in on our ideas to identify the most important features they’d need to create a viable product.

Then, they carried out comprehensive market research to identify potential competitors and see which features could set us apart. The insights determined that our ideas were sufficient to be able to create a new, unique application.

They’ve essentially taken our design ideas and developed them into a functional iOS application. For the most part, they’ve built the app from scratch, although the team has used some plug-ins to help with coding and APIs. We plan to collaborate on developing an Android version in the future.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with Andrew (CEO), Stephanie (Product Lead), and two developers.

How did you come to work with NineTwoThree Venture Studio?

We found NineTwoThree online.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested roughly $250,000 in the partnership with NineTwoThree.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with NineTwoThree in February 2022, and the partnership is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We haven’t launched the application yet, but NineTwoThree has been able to bring our ideas to life beautifully. They’ve taken our broad vision and narrowed it down to give us a solid, user-friendly product. Since we’re still in the development stage, we’ve had a few bugs, but they’ve caught them immediately and resolved issues within 24 hours.

How did NineTwoThree Venture Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

NineTwoThree has excelled from a project management standpoint. Although each team member has a different position with a different goal, the team works well together to create the app. They know how to do their jobs.

We’ve met in person, but now we meet weekly via Zoom to keep track of the process and go over new developments. If we have questions in between meetings, we can give them a call.

What did you find most impressive about them?

NineTwoThree’s biggest strength is their team’s investment in our product. They’ve done a lot of legwork for us to make the product as successful as possible.

Rather than working on as many projects as possible to make the most money, they’re very selective about their partnerships. As a result, we feel they’re excited about building our product and care about our success.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have nothing NineTwoThree could improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I advise maintaining an open line of communication with NineTwoThree. If you communicate with them, they’ll deliver a final product that meets your needs and makes you happy.

**BACKGROUND**

We hired 923 to build our next generation mobile application. Our goals were to have a extremely robust location streaming application connected to the Navv Platform.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

923 has solid experience in IOT and iOS application development. they understand the technical challenges of creating commercial mobile applications that have realtime requirements.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had a quick review and kickoff meeting. Prior to this they took our architectural diagrams and built their understanding of our needs. It was easy to get the scope and they then built that into their project management software to make it easy for us to review and track progress.

The team consists of:

1 Solution Architect

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

**The Review** — Jun 3, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: NineTwoThree Venture Studio has improved the app’s stability and UX, and they’ve decreased the client’s development time. The team excels at project management, with weekly meetings, daily Slack communication, and task-tracking on Monday.com. Their cohesive team and high-quality code stand out.
"“The speed at which they turn around features is very impressive.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of consumer engineering of a pre-launch startup building a consumer electronic device with a companion mobile app.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with NineTwoThree Venture Studio?

We needed help to develop our mobile apps. Although we had an internal developer that started the project, we needed to start moving more quickly and iterate on both platforms. I decided an outsourced development team was the way to go, so we hired NineTwoThree Venture Studio. Additionally, we needed some modifications to our e-commerce website.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

First, we signed a four-month service agreement with NineTwoThree Venture Studio. They’re developing two apps, one for iOS using Swift and one for Android using Kotlin. They provide full service, including project management, development, and QA.

The apps are companions for our consumer electronic device. The team has created the app’s UX flow and functionalities to play videos and view images. The core feature allows the apps to connect with the device and transfer data back and forth, such as over-the-air updates. Before working with NineTwoThree Venture Studio, we managed file transfers with a Wi-Fi feature with reliability issues. They’ve rewritten that feature for us and converted it to Bluetooth using Bluetooth Low Energy and Wi-Fi for larger file transfers.

Currently, the apps are pre-launch. NineTwoThree Venture Studio does internal QA. Their developers do local testing and then shift to other team members within the organization to do QA before passing it over to us. Additionally, they’ve created a multi-stage checkout on Shopify for our e-commerce website. I’ve pitched them a site redesign based on new Figma designs, and they’ve also taken on this project as an additional contract.

What is the team composition?

I work primarily with Andrew and Pavel (Co-Founders) and with two people on the project management side. We’ve also had calls directly with some of the developers.

How did you come to work with NineTwoThree Venture Studio?

When looking for a provider, the location was a concern because we had physical devices that needed to move back and forth, so I searched close to our Massachusetts office. I found five development shops that fit my criteria. NineTwoThree Venture Studio seemed to have very specific experience with device-connected apps. They had done another app with a laundry company and a baby monitor project, so their experience was very relevant to the type of project we were trying to do.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $150,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in February 2021, and our engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Previously, we had a technically intense syncing-up feature using Wi-Fi that was pretty brutal as it crashed quite a bit. Since NineTwoThree Venture Studio rewrote that feature, the UX for transferring data has improved, as well as the stability of the apps. Thanks to them, our development time has also decreased. The speed at which they turn around features is very impressive, and it has allowed us to shorten our development cycles.

Moreover, their internal QA team does a pretty good job; once they release a feature to us, it’s in pretty good shape. We communicate any issues we find back to them. We also appreciate that they pop teammates in and out as their skillsets are needed, so we’re getting a whole team for half the price.

How did NineTwoThree Venture Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

They provide project management services using Monday.com boards for task assignments, bug reports, and bug-tracking. Their communication is good; we do a weekly touch-base meeting to go through the project. However, we mostly communicate through Slack, sending information back and forth. Our device engineers have a lot of communication with NineTwoThree Venture Studio’s developers, and we’ve done calls with them to discuss aspects of the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve worked with many development teams, and NineTwoThree Venture Studio is really good. They’ve retained their development team throughout the years, so the group is cohesive and works well together. The quality of the code itself plus the team are outstanding.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have any complaints; we’re really happy with their work.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would advise spending some time with them in the beginning, clearly defining what needs to get done. Come in with as much information as you can, and once you have the major details down, NineTwoThree Venture Studio is great at estimating and pricing the project.

They were also able to translate the client's nebulous vision into a practical, functional system that takes multiple platforms, security, engagement, and their needs into account.
""We felt like we had a pulse on progress and the team came to every meeting with results they could show us.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Founder of a conference and community for 7 to 9 figure SaaS, Ecom, and Media business owners.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire NineTwoThree Digital Ventures, and what were your goals?

We wanted to move off of Slack and Facebook groups to a custom community app which we own and control and has the features we need to better engage our online community.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I had an immediate connection with Andrew, the founder, when we were originally introduced from a mutual friend. He and his company were very enthusiastic and brought several ideas to the table on how to execute the app.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The team started by listending carefully to my vision for how the app would works. We refined these ideas to a "v1" feature set. Andrew and his team then designed and built a UI prototype which we refined and would later be used to code the app.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked with 5 team members. These included a product manager, a technical lead and two designer/developers.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We've been able to leverage the work we did with the team to engage our community and "show them" rather than tell them. This has translated into substantial risk reduction in the decision if end users actually wanted what we built.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The project management style included excellent communication through a regular meeting cadence in addition to slack/email collaboration. We felt like we had a pulse on progress and the team came to every meeting with results they could show us.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was most impressed at the team's ability to take a rather nebulous vision in my head and actually translate it to a practical functional system taking into account multiple platform, security, engagment, etc. needs.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing comes to mind.

Their team is personable, professional, and reliable — on top of that, their technical skills are impressive.
""They take their work very seriously but approach it in a light-hearted and fun manner.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I run a team that builds, launches, and grows B2B software

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire NineTwoThree Digital Ventures, and what were your goals?

We started working with NineTwoThree to build a new video software project. We had a clear concept and we needed a capable team that could build it quickly and efficiently.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I'd known one of the founders of NineTwoThree for some time through my network. He'd given me helpful business insight on a few occasions. When the need arose to find an external team to build alongside us, NineTwoThree was one of the first that came to mind.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

After a few preliminary discussions with the founders, we agreed on terms of engagement and started in on the concept. We shared our vision of what we were looking for, along with the closest competitors and references available.

The NineTwoThree team then took those concepts and spent a few days with them to give an estimate for how complex it would be to build. We set a rough schedule and had weekly meeting to get updates, give input, and see the project come to life.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked with four team members directly: the founders, a project manager, and a designer. Additionally, they had at least two developers dedicated to the project — but that was managed on their side, so I didn't need to give input or oversight (which was great!).

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

At the time of this writing, we are nearing completion of the project but we have yet to launch. The app is coming together really nicely and is looking fantastic. This is the most smooth build process that I've been a part of and I look forward to our upcoming launch!

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

My business partner and I communicate with their team via slack and weekly update meetings.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

There's so much I could say here. The team is personable and able to communicate about complex technical things in everyday language. They take their work very seriously, but approach it in a light hearted and fun manner.

Every meeting with them is great. I really look forward to them. They are very good at work and timeline estimates and sticking to them — which is often challenging when dealing with complex technologies.

Finally, the scope of what their team is capable of is really incredible. If there's something we need built or added to the project, they can do it.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Honestly, I've loved the whole process. There's nothing that I would change.

Their deliverables received positive feedback from investors, consequently helping the client raise money. Their superb project management and communication skills ensured a smooth process.
""They were a very passionate team who cared about our product.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the co-founder and CEO of a social networking app called Grouped, which is designed to enable leaders to create communities.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with NineTwoThree Digital Ventures?

We needed help with building our prototypes, digital architecture, user stories, and wireframes. Basically, we wanted someone to help us create something concrete with our ideas.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We first shared our designs with the team. NineTwoThree Digital Ventures then delivered all the technical documentation we needed to build our app natively on iOS, Android, and the web.

Then, the team built a prototype, which included over 100 user stories. They used Figma and designed a logo, color scheme, brand identity, and several screens. We regularly provided feedback, which they used to finalize their deliverables.

Finally, NineTwoThree Digital Ventures then helped us conduct customer discovery and research by conducting interviews with potential users.

We then presented their plans to our in-house development team, who used NineTwoThree Digital Ventures’ plans to develop the app.

We plan on launching it on the App Store in April 2022. The app has a unique chat function and features in-app payments.

What is the team composition?

Our main point of contact was Andrew (CEO), who managed the project. We also worked with Pavel (CTO), Sasha (UI/UX Designer), a teammate who built the user stories, and another person who helped us conduct research.

How did you come to work with NineTwoThree Digital Ventures?

We found them on Clutch when we were searching for development agencies. We interviewed a bunch of vendors, but NineTwoThree Digital Ventures stood out because they were very personable.

On our initial call, both Andrew and Pavel were present. They promised to be heavily involved in the project, which said a lot because they were the owners.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $250,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from August–November 2021.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Ultimately, they helped us raise money. Our investors were very impressed with their work.

Furthermore, our in-house developers were thrilled with the documentation the technical documentation they provided. NineTwoThree Digital Ventures freed us from having to conduct research and focus on app development.

How did NineTwoThree Digital Ventures perform from a project management standpoint?

Their excellent project management was the best part of working with them. NineTwoThree Digital Ventures was very quick and kept us involved in every step of the process.

It was a six-week process. We had biweekly Zoom meetings where they presented us with what they had done in their latest sprint. Additionally, we used Monday.com, Slack, and Figma.

What did you find most impressive about them?

NineTwoThree Digital Ventures treated our project like it was their own, which we really appreciated. Their communication skills were also fantastic.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes they made some feature suggestions that we didn’t necessarily want. However, they were a very passionate team who cared about our product, so that wasn’t really a bad thing.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be very open and honest with the team. I recommend reaching out and laying everything out for the team. They’ll be flexible with you and give you the best experience.

**The Review** — Feb 1, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: Users and internal stakeholders alike are pleased with the platform, which was released in December and just earned its 100th paying customer. Along the way, the team has been an excellent creative and strategic resource, working to produce a remarkable final product that serves clients’ needs.
""We’re very synergistic. It’s basically like I’ve doubled the size of my own company by having 923 on board."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the co-founder of Altar Live, a video conference and livestream platform specifically designed for faith communities to present services and meetings online.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with 923 Digital?

Like a lot of industries, the pandemic rearranged our lives in a significant way. For faith communities, that meant people who gather on a regular basis in person suddenly needed to find a different means of hosting event services and maintaining community and relationships.

We found people were using a cocktail of different platforms to achieve the goals of their community: live streaming on one, video conferencing on another. We wanted to build a platform that could bring everyone and everything together simultaneously.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

923 began with market research. They were on a lot of preliminary calls with us as we were beginning to sketch out what it is that churches are already using, the goal they’re trying to achieve, and the areas they’re lacking. We started exploring in tandem different technology platforms, and ended up landing on what we use now, our WebRTC technology.

The next stage was design. We spent a few weeks figuring out a preliminary UX, layouts for screens, and the overall flow of the platform. Once that was finished, 923 started writing code to build our first prototype.

What is the team composition?

I’ve worked with a lot of people from 923, but most of my contact was with Andrew (CEO & Co-Founder), Pavel (Co-Founder), Tanya (Recruiter). We also worked with Ana (Junior Project Manager), and Yulia (Project Manager).

How did you come to work with 923 Digital?

I met Andrew at a work event. We got to talking and I heard more about what 923 does. We stayed in touch, and when the pandemic started to unfold, they immediately came to mind as someone I wanted to work with.

They’re a really agile team, and they’re entrepreneurs at heart. I could trust them to fiercely chase the problem we were trying to solve on our behalf as well.

How much have you invested with them?

We’re at about $280,000 right now.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in May 2020 and did our first full release in December. We’re still working together in phase two.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our biggest metric was whether or not they understood what we were trying to solve, and 923 hit a home run with that one. They did a lot of upfront work with us to really get to the bottom of what we wanted to accomplish. Any pivots that we’ve made have made a lot of sense, and they’re very responsive to what we’ve learned along the way.

We were also looking at speed of implementation. Even though we’ve done a few pivots, 923 has been able to turn around a lot.

Thirdly, we’ve been getting constant good updates from their project managers and their team on when we can expect certain features, what we’ve learned from customers, and more. Their product managers have been in very close step with us throughout the whole project, and I’ve been really impressed with the level of detail that they paid attention to.

In terms of users, we just passed our 100th paying customer today, which is really great for a startup like ours. Moving at the pace we did with them, it’s a huge win. I couldn’t be happier with where we are now.

The platform 923 has built for us is top of the line. It’s really well thought out, the UX is awesome, and it feels like a $1,000,000 product for a nonprofit community like ours. We’re really proud to bring it to our customers.

How did 923 Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Overall, they’re great. We do weekly meetings, or depending on the sprint, sometimes daily meetings. We get updates from project managers so we stay informed.

We’re very synergistic. It’s basically like I’ve doubled the size of my own company by having 923 on board.

What did you find most impressive about them?

923 has a very entrepreneurial spirit. Their company is driven to not just build a product, but to build a product that fulfills our customers’ needs. They’re very involved and have an amazing eye. I feel very confident that the product that I’m giving to my customers is going to make their life better and easier.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything that feels significant to say they need to improve. I feel incredibly satisfied with 923’s services.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t just give them your checklist, but let them in on the design experience as well. Bring them the problem you’re trying to solve and be honest, because they can give insight and help create a better product with you as a result.

**The Review** — Jul 15, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: 923 Digital’s exceptional transparency and strong communication skills have made for a successful partnership thus far. The team manages the project very effectively, outlining each step of the process clearly, and they are very adaptable. Their responsiveness is also noteworthy.
""923 Digital takes changes and pivots very quickly."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of NUU Group, a creative agency and design consultancy. We work with customers to develop their brands by designing and building digital products and experiences.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with 923 Digital?

We were looking for a development partner for some of the projects we’re working on for our customers. We were looking for a team to supplement on the development front for digital projects.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

923 Digital does backend and product management work. They also bring technical expertise to turn the designs that we do into actual working products and applications.

What is the team composition?

Our project manager interfaces with theirs.

How did you come to work with 923 Digital?

They were a word of mouth referral from someone who I know and trust.

How much have you invested with them?

The current project has a $250,000 budget. It’s ongoing, so that will likely increase.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in January 2020, and our engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Its been a great partnership and experience. The greatest impact has been working with good people and the ability for our team to have full visibility into the status of the development.

How did 923 Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Depending on the engagement, they facilitate the project management. They are very transparent in their communication. The team is also very flexible, which is important for our current project. 923 Digital takes changes and pivots very quickly, which has impacted our relationship with our client.

There’s been a clear plan for the phases in the project. Overall, the delivery has been on time, and their response time sands out. When we send them a message, the team gets back to us within minutes.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their open communication and responsiveness have helped to build trust over the past six months. So far, so good.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Because of the fact that we’re merging two different teams together, it’s been hard to figure out how that comes together. Our relationship may be different than what they typically deal with because we’re also an agency

923 Digital tends to default to their processes, which can sometimes be too much. They try to move too quickly, almost preemptively, which often leads to backtracking and letting them know that we need to have a discussion about everything before we can approve the execution.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The team doesn’t just take a list of requirements and do it; they also provide more strategic planning and advice, which we and our clients have appreciated.

They are really part of the planning process, so I would advise potential customers to be open to bringing them into that part of the process.

#### Frontend & Backend IoT Development for Laundry Firm

Former CTO, Commercial Laundry Group
- Industry: Manufacturing

- Client size: 11-50 Employees
- Review Type: Phone Interview

**The Review** — Jun 11, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: The useful platform helps the company stand out in comparison to others in the market, and the number of users continues to increase. 923 Digital provided valuable recommendations to ensure a successful engagement. The team is organized, flexible, and communicative, making them easy to work with.
"“Their insights are very valuable and that distinguishes them from other providers.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’ve worked with them in several different positions. For this project, in particular, I was the CTO of a commercial laundry group.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with 923 Digital?

We needed a team to bring the system up. We had the general architecture and approach and we wanted to outsource the development.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They built out the front- and backend of our IoT system. We had a bunch of commercial laundry equipment that was out in the field and they built a data ingestion pipe and a counterpart processing system in the cloud using AWS infrastructure. Then they built a pretty powerful frontend that allows our customers, distribution partners, and internal teams to evaluate the system in real-time.

What is the team composition?

We had several points of contact and about 10 people on the team overall.

How did you come to work with 923 Digital?

I’ve worked with them in the past on a different project. They deliver, they’re efficient from a capital perspective, they’re flexible, and they’re easy to work with.

How much have you invested with them?

It was north of $300,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from July 2015–June 2019.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It was a clear differentiator for us. It gave us more visibility for our customers. Now they’re able to understand their operations and extract methods in real-time and on a semi-regular basis. It helps us stand out in the market.

At a high level, we track customer utilization of the portal. As we continue to roll out new features, we’ve seen a steady increase in the utilization of the technology for our customer base and from our internal team.

How did 923 Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

They were great; we had no issues at all. We had a regular meeting cadence and we were able to roll out our requirements to them on a regular basis and they delivered. They typically organized their work around two-week sprints. We used conference calls and Trello to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their ability to understand project requirements. On top of that, they’re really easy to work with. I’ve worked with several third-party providers, and 923 Digital stands out for their flexibility.

Are there any areas they could improve?

As they look to grow, they’ll need to replicate the types of individuals they have running the programs. It’s hard to find, recruit, and develop people so their team continues to grow and work as the core team does now. That’s their challenge.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’re able to synthesize requirements and provide alternative ways of thinking about things. They really go through that extra effort to make those suggestions, so you should take advantage of that. Their insights are very valuable and that distinguishes them from other providers.

**The Review** — Feb 7, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: The process went very well—their flexibility and adaptability with agile development were impressive. 923 Digital's efforts have received solid feedback on iOS and mixed reviews on Android. They were a very agile extension of the client's internal structure.
""The are quick to implement features and they seem to always be reachable and responsive to any of our needs."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Principal System Architect in the Connected Home team at Dorel Juvenile Group. Dorel Juvenile is a juvenile products manufacturer (car seats, strollers, baby gates, etc). We have 6 brands, Safety 1st being one of them. This was the first product designed and built by our company to re-enter the baby monitor market.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire 923 Digital?

923 Digital was brought in to design the UI/UX of our mobile application. They worked with our marketing department to conduct consumer testing to design the correct UI/UX for the app. We then hired them to also build our first App to take to launch. We do not have any software/mobile developers in our company.

What were your goals for this project?

The App was the only interface to our baby monitor (hardware) product. So the App was our product and we needed to stand out from all the competition who either had baby monitors that came with clunky video monitor units or had apps that weren't as slick. In short, we wanted to stand out from our competition.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

923 Digital was referred to by another colleague on the team. They had worked with them before. We had quoted the project out to other larger companies. We ended up selecting primarily because they seemed like a boutique firm (lean and agile) and their price was a lot more competitive than the other vendors.

Describe the project in detail.

The project involved: 1. Consumer research to determine/prioritize features that would be helpful to first time parents. 2. UI/UX design including limited consumer testing to validate design. 3. Develop iOS/Android mobile applications 4. Develop backend using AWS managed services

What was the team composition?

The team comprised of a Technical Project Lead who was local to our office. We primarily dealt with him and he managed all the developer resources. We did have weekly meetings with him and the team (which was offshore). For the first 1.5 years, we had 2 iOS, 2 Android, 2 backend (java) and 2 QA engineers (9 people). They did bring in other resources on occasion to help with certain problems (this was excellent). The team eventually went down to 1 IOS, 1 Android, 1 Backend and 2 QA engineers.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

On iOS we've maintained slightly above 4.0 rating consistently since launch. On Android, we've struggled to stay around 3.0... the problem with android has to do with the diversity of android hardware phones. Our app handles live video streaming and users with under performing phones have poor experience especially when compounded with poor network connectivity speed.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We worked really well with them. They were very flexible and adapted very easily to our team needs. We used our company's Jira instance to track all our development. We had 2 week sprints that the project manager from 923 Digital led. We used our GitHub account to track all code. We used Slack to tie everything up. The team was always very responsive over Slack even during US hours.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

How agile they are. They are quick to implement features and they seem to always be reachable and responsive to any of our needs. Their team was also very invested in our project. I think if we had gone with one of the bigger companies (who were out of our budget), we would not have gotten a team that really extended our own internal team.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I can't think of anything at the moment. I don't think it's quite fair, but the team was not too familiar with hardware and live video streaming, so there were technical challenges we needed to overcome which took longer than I had hoped. This is a very niche need and we were also not paying accordingly.

We had previous experience with this vendor.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

923 Digital developed the front-end and back-end solution including mocking up the GUI, sophisticated user management, an issue tracking service, and provided devops services.

What was the team composition?

Local program management and user interface gui design. A remote team performed the majority of development and devops functions but they were directly accessible.

Our company is a startup and the product developed by 923 Digital increased the perception of our capabilities significantly and was extremely useful in raising funding.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

There was a local project manager and a team lead for the remote team that were both very accessible and responsive. It worked very well.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The openness and responsiveness of both the local and remote teams was excellent. The end product was extremely professional looking and responsive.

Are there any areas for improvement?

**The Review** — Jan 29, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: While the development is ongoing, the app has recieved positive feedback from those who have seen it. The team delivers results that fit the needs of the client. 923 Digital, LLC establishes clear communication channels and responds rapidly to facilitate a smooth workflow.
""Our whole team was impressed by the knowledge that 923 Digital, LLC had about app development, UI/UX, and optimization."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Co-Founder & Head of Sales at a vineyard software company headquartered in Northern Virginia. Our company has 3 employees and we currently serve vineyard and winery clients in Virginia. I oversee our sales and marketing efforts and our client relationships.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire 923 Digital, LLC?

Our company hired 923 Digital to develop a brand new web and mobile app as well as a new website for us. We did have any in-house engineers, so we needed to outsource the entire design and build.

What were your goals for this project?

After working on Vineteq for about 9 months, we needed to bring our idea to life in app form as well as upgrade from our current website which was very basic and dull. 923 Digital helped us get to this point and had an app ready for us to sell to vineyards for the upcoming growing season. This had a very positive impact on our business because prior to our app being created, we were trying to sell the idea of what we were doing to vineyards and that was a very hard thing to do with not tangible product or app for them to see.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

We were referred to 923 Digital by a mutual connection of ours. We originally were going to be working with another company, but they were not able to meet our needs the way 923 Digital was. After the intro to 923 was made, my co-founder and I spoke with the 923 team and confirmed that we wanted to pursue working together.

Describe the project in detail.

Once we started working with 923 Digital, we had a series of discovery meetings to discuss our goals and objectives and the work that the Vineteq team had already done prior to our relationship. Early on, we spent time sharing documentation and processes that we already had in place.

On our side of things, we helped teach the 923 team the industry that we're working in and they were all very quick learners, which impressed our team greatly. Throughout the process of working together, they've thought of things that even us as the "industry experts" have not. 923 has also helped us with strategy, design work, content creation and support in a variety of ways.

Our app is a hybrid app for both Android and iOS use, which also compliments our website. Another service that they have assisted uin is our branding, which has been phenomenal and very much complimented.

What was the team composition?

At any given time we'd usually have 3-7 people from the vendor's side involved in our project. Strategic and technology advisors, a project manager, designer, and front and back-end developers. Over time the team has grown.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project is still ongoing, so we don't really have any current metrics or measureables, but we have gotten great a response from those we've shared the app and website with.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Workflow with the 923 Digital team has always been top-notch. All aspects of project management have been done very well and both our side of the project and theirs are very well organized. We use Slack and Google Meet for communication and then Monday for project management aspects. 923 always responds very well to any feedback we have, are available at almost any time we need them, and are quick to get us answers when needed.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Our whole team was impressed by the knowledge that 923 Digital, LLC had about app development, UI/UX, and optimization. This was our team's first experience working with a vendor like this and we've all learned a ton and are so appreciate of the 923 team as a whole. Apart from the work environment, they're all such great people and we've built a lasting, personal relationship with them.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Everything can always be done faster, but we were very satisfied with their work every step of the way. In the end, quality is more important than speed and we ended up with a beautiful product.

**The Review** — Jan 27, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: The platform has received universally positive feedback, from both employees, customers, and convention attendees. 923 Digital is competent and knowledgeable, going above and beyond to provide high-quality results that meet the needs and requirements of the client.
"“Their customer service has been outstanding.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the COO of Marken PPE Restoration, a workwear company. We clean and repair the uniforms that firefighters and first responders wear into a fire. Additionally, we created a proprietary wash technology called X Orbs, a polymer bead we use to gently clean the uniforms. I am responsible for the overall operations of the entire business unit.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with 923 Digital?

In the fire industry, there are a lot of federal regulations for recordkeeping. Platforms that accomplished this existed already, but no one platform had everything we wanted. We decided to build an internal system and needed a development partner.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

923 Digital developed a cloud-based web application. The app can be accessed across all of our facilities, even internationally. Naval and fire departments that are customers of ours will be able to access the same information in real time.

The platform can remind fire departments when their uniforms are due for a cleaning. The dashboards also track the lifespan of the garments and how much money they’ve spent on them. We can also do our invoicing through the system. The web app is mobile responsive on both iOS and Android devices.

The platform is currently in its third iteration. We have an ongoing contract with 923 Digital and always envisioned the platform as one that would change and evolve.

What is the team composition?

We worked with Pavel (Co-founder, 923 Digital) and four members of the 923 Digital team.

How did you come to work with 923 Digital?

They had developed some other programs for our parent company, so when I went to the IT department to seek their advice on partners they directed me to 923 Digital. Since we had an existing relationship and knew they were trustworthy, we decided to work with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We have invested about $50,000–$75,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement with 923 Digital began in August 2017.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re currently using the web app internally at four of our locations. Feedback from the staff has been great! We’ve also shown the platform at a couple of trade shows and conventions, including FDIC and Firehouse World.

The web app is also being used by customers who have given us positive feedback. Our demos of the project have yielded positive results. 923 Digital often suggests changes that we choose to implement.

How did 923 Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

I can’t say enough about Pavel and his team. They are incredibly responsive, I’ve never had to wait more than 24 hours for them to at least acknowledge a request. The team is always willing to tell us when they need additional time to get us an answer. 923 Digital is quick to make updates and is always able to fix any arising problems.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their customer service has been outstanding. 923 Digital always responds to our inquiries. Additionally, our CTO felt that they provided a great value for the cost. They’re an overall great team to work with and I see why our parent company has stuck with them for so long.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, everything has been great.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t hold back, just throw it all at them. 923 Digital is always able to help. Everything we’ve given them, they’ve been able to pull off, even the things I was doubtful about.

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the manager of engineering operations at sports-tech company. We deliver objective athletic performance data and analytics through a unique database and web portal, helping professional sports franchises make informed decisions on player development, acquisitions, and scouting.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What specific goals or objectives did you hire NineTwoThree AI Studio to accomplish for Stathletes? We had a proof-of-concept large language model (LLM) product that we wanted to flesh out and set up for scale as a minimum viable product (MVP). We wanted to do it quickly.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?Within three months, NineTwoThree AI Studio designed, built, and deployed a production-ready LLM chatbot that references our proprietary data and gives general responses to sports-related prompts. The responses had to be accurate, and we wanted documentation on how we could expand on the reference dataset and other features after delivery. We reformatted and delivered the reference data and scoped out the categories of prompts we were targeting — nontrivial work, but it made sense for us as SMEs to own that. NineTwoThree handled the design and development otherwise. What is the team composition? We worked with 2–5 teammates from NineTwoThree. How did you come to work with NineTwoThree AI Studio? We found them through an online search and the Clutch website. We chose them over other options because they had high ratings and specific experience in our industry. What is the status of this engagement? We worked together from October 2025–January 2026.

We appreciated their transparency throughout the working engagement; trust was established early. Are there any areas they could improve?I can't think of anything I would have wanted to change.

What was the scope of their involvement?NineTwoThree AI Studio designed and built a full-stack web application for AI content creation for large enterprises based on an initial scope and customer feedback. The platform included standard features like authentication and the ability to pull in relevant customer information from an API using our existing platform. We communicate via email, Slack, and Google Chat, with one to two calls per week. What did you find most impressive about them?We were most impressed with NineTwoThree AI Studio’s experience developing AI solutions for large enterprises. That experience has provided the perspective we require to get our work done. Are there any areas they could improve?I’ve already given them this feedback, but I think NineTwoThree AI Studio could find the right way to move towards an AI agile development process for clients that want it. POCs and mockups could be developed much faster and allow customers to test them within days rather than weeks or months. I understand that not every client would want to work that way, especially not many enterprise clients, but that’s my 2 cents.

Assess fallback mechanisms for service disruptions.● Risk Mitigation Strategies: Prototype critical features such as rate limiting, waiting room implementation, and API utilization to address scalability and cost challenges.● Infrastructure Cost Modeling: Outline projected infrastructure costs for AWS, API usage, and load testing, optimizing for high-value simulations at controlled budgets.● Scalability and Feasibility Report: Assessment of system constraints and potential bottlenecks, including technical limitations of third-party services.● Preliminary Load Testing Results: Initial findings on load thresholds and infrastructure costs, providing a baseline for scaling efforts.● Engineering Roadmap: A high-level technical roadmap with phased milestones for system implementation and scaling.● Integration Recommendations: Technical guidance on incorporating the microsite into FanDuel’s ecosystem or hosting standalone.● Fallback and Mitigation Plans: Proposed solutions for handling third-party service limitations and fallback user experience under varying load conditions.● Product Roadmap: Roadmap laying out the proposed development phases of the project withtimelines, milestones, and ballpark costs.● Design: user flows, wireframes, and initial design, to illustrate the planned user experience.Flutter Entertainment SOW● Requirements: Detailed assumptions, tradeoffs, and decisions around the built experience as a result of the strategy discussion.● Fine-Tuning: a plan for fine tuning for V1 and additional likely enhancements for prompt engineering to match personality/response types in future iterations.● Voice Plan: use third party tools like Elevenlabs, HeyGen, or similar to mimic the voice of Celebrity for internal FanDuel use. Once the Chat Box is developed - 923 could use the voice model to develop additional features / modalities.●NineTwoThree will design user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) for the agreed-upon application screens, subject to scope adjustments and stakeholder feedback. This includes wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes as needed for stakeholder review and feedback. Design elements will adhere to provided brand guidelines. Any changes or additions to the scope will require approval and may result in additional costs or timeline adjustments.● Agency will create a basic non-scaled version to use some time in January, and work on scale from there. The actual number of concurrent users that we can get to by Feb 15 is unknown and is highly dependent on OpenAI and ElevenLabs. 923 will prioritize the testing & scaling solutions quickly so we can raise the load target as high as possible. Note that 923 will spend a lot of time in January doing load testing & improvements, and there will be infrastructure costs (likely thousands of dollars) during this. These costs are due to the need to ping the APIs with high load to simulate the high-traffic situation. Each interaction with the AI model involves processing text, which is measured in units called tokens. Each token processed by OpenAI, ElevenLabs, AWS, etc. during testing incurs a cost. Load testing an LLM involves costs for processing the tokens through the API. We are always pragmatic and efficient in order to emulate the most load with the least amount of funds, of course.● Agency will implement a “waiting room” so that if too many users (beyond defined scale during product strategy) try to get on, they will not be able to overwhelm the system.● Agency will add rate-limiting so a regular consumer doesn’t overwhelm the system and cause outrageous costs.● Agency will limit the topics that the Chat Box can answer to those determined by Client (in its sole discretion) and communicated to Agency.● The chat will include a Chuck-like response with basic guardrails from OpenAI’s standard set (no self-harm, etc. as described here).● At this time and with current knowledge, there will not be bells-and-whistles on the chat experience. No thumbs up/down, no saved history, no retained data, no attachments/upload etc. However, as the project progresses and we are safely getting responses, and the system is scaling properly - we can begin to add features in February or March to support initiatives as they appear. We will estimate each request and prioritize accordingly.● Agency will attach basic analytics suite (Google Analytics) to measure usage and retention.● The initial launch will be based on a microsite, unless 923 is able to determine a simple & efficient path toward having it live on the FanDuel website with an associated login and both parties agree. That is highly dependent on how those systems work at FanDuel and what kind of coll

## Portfolio & Awards

### Vectorized 90 Years of Data Into AI Search
Challenge: Consumer Reports needed to make their 90-year archive of unbiased product reviews accessible via conversational AI, without risking hallucinations, dangerous outputs, or off-brand responses that could damage their trusted reputation. Standard RAG frameworks were insufficient for CR's accuracy requirements.
Solution: Built AskCR, a custom multi-subsystem RAG agent with query refinement, dynamic routing, source retrieval, and final synthesis. Implemented memory for contextual awareness, a product retriever for expanded coverage, and a full evaluation and guardrails suite. Extensive load testing, red-teaming, and user research were conducted throughout.
Results: Guardrail performance improved by 10x through red-teaming. Launched in a beta program for CR members on web and mobile, delivering personalized product recommendations in the voice of a CR expert using only verified CR data.

### Designed AI Vision To Stop Burglars
Challenge: SimpliSafe needed to turn an early proof-of-concept app into a production-ready Pre-Crime Detection Service — designing onboarding, in-app tutorials, and a full UI/UX that clearly communicated a brand-new service concept to customers, while navigating facial recognition regulations and compliance requirements.
Solution: Designed the full iOS and Android mobile apps, Live Guard Agent monitoring web app, and QA web app. Ran in-person multi-day sessions, iterated through wireframes, conducted user testing with an alpha prototype and 300 beta customers over 6 months, and collaborated weekly with the SimpliSafe Innovation Lab engineering and product team.
Results: The UI/UX design received a patent and is set to become the new standard for the main SimpliSafe app. The Pre-Crime Service launched live on the app store in May 2024, generating additional revenue streams and increased product sales.

### Launched to 3 Million Listeners on NPR
Challenge: Death by Duck needed to build an MVP game app based on Hidden Brain's podcast content in just one month, with a scalable CMS so the Hidden Brain team could manage it independently, smooth performance for daily concurrent users, and a financial model validated through the build process.
Solution: NineTwoThree built the Hidden Brain Daily Challenge app — a face-recognition game blending scientific theory with gameplay — with audio introductions from host Shankar Vedantam, social sharing features, and a CMS that allows the team to add new games without engineering support.
Results: Successfully launched on December 5th, meeting the one-month deadline. The app reached Hidden Brain's 3 million listener audience with a validated financial model and room to add future games.

### Cymbiotika Uses ML to predict 1000s of Sales
Challenge: Cymbiotika's product recommendation system relied on a basic weighted formula tied to a 15-question survey: it couldn't adapt to diverse customer preferences or improve lifetime value and first-time conversion rates for a growing supplement brand.
Solution: Built a machine learning recommendation engine on Shopify that analyzes past purchase behavior, browsing history, and demographic data. Deployed with A/B testing capabilities to route traffic between the ML system and the existing engine for direct real-time comparison.
Results: Early data showed improved product-to-customer match accuracy, outperforming the previous system with the potential to drive thousands of incremental sales at scale.

### AI Cuts Legal Consultation Time by 90%
Challenge: Prisonology needed to reduce the time lawyers spent researching and writing prison sentence reports — a process that could take days. Generic AI tools like ChatGPT couldn't handle the complexity and nuance of legal case analysis or process extensive documents reliably.
Solution: Built a proof-of-concept RAG app with two scoring modules: one to read and extract relevant information from court PDFs, and one to reason and generate a Security Designation Scorecard score like a human analyst. Prisonology's 20 years of successful legal motions are stored privately as the knowledge base.
Results: Legal consultation time reduced by 90%. Report creation time cut from days to minutes. Sales doubled within 4 months with full technology investment returned in 4 months as well.

### AI Assistant Cuts Gun Safety Research from Hours
Challenge: Everytown's staff travel the country advocating for gun safety policies, relying on ever-changing local and state statistics across 26+ data sources. A topic this sensitive couldn't afford LLM hallucinations, outdated figures, or outputs that didn't match Everytown's strict tone and language guidelines.
Solution: Built a guardrailed AI assistant using RAG to ingest and semantically search Everytown's articles and statistics. Implemented a multi-agent architecture with a central orchestrator LLM and strict tone guardrails aligned to Everytown's "Words we use" guidelines so every response sounds like a team member.
Results: Passed all 27 validation suite metrics. 85% answer match against expert-written responses. Research time reduced from hours to seconds. Median response time under 10 seconds.

### AI App Reduces Financial Aid Comparison Time 70%
Challenge: College award letters are inconsistently formatted and nearly impossible to compare. VSAC, a nonprofit competing against high-interest private lenders, needed a scalable platform to give students instant cost comparisons, generate qualified loan leads, and create a new partner marketplace, without building three separate systems.
Solution: Built Award Advisor — native iOS and Android apps plus a web admin portal — using a custom ML model combining image preprocessing, OCR, and LLM refinement. Students photograph award letters and instantly receive standardized side-by-side cost comparisons. Tiered admin access supports VSAC, partner loan organizations, and students separately.
Results: Financial aid comparison time reduced by 70%. VSAC transformed from a single-service nonprofit into a multi-revenue platform operator, with a new lead marketplace revenue stream making the project ROI-positive.

### Developed 12 Native iOS Features for Skylight
Challenge: Skylight's app was built in React Native, preventing the team from building native features like home screen widgets for iOS and Android. As they scaled rapidly into major retailers like Costco and Target, they needed to keep the calendar fast and smooth across three hardware versions while accelerating feature delivery.
Solution: NineTwoThree joined as a native iOS and Android engineering extension, refactoring core code to cut lag, building native home screen widgets, and shipping roadmap features including Parental Lock and Albums.
Results: 12 major features shipped in 13 months. Faster performance across all hardware versions. 30,000+ five-star App Store reviews.

### Improved User Satisfaction with a Modern Platform
Challenge: INTRAL's customer portal had an outdated backend with limited scalability, a cumbersome frontend UI that hurt user satisfaction, and complex legacy authentication systems that made transitioning between admin and customer portals difficult.
Solution: Migrated the backend to Azure using modern architecture patterns and RESTful APIs, rebuilt the frontend in React and TypeScript with responsive design, and created an adapter for seamless transition between old and new systems — maintaining operational continuity throughout.
Results: Improved user satisfaction and streamlined internal operations. A modernized, scalable platform positioned INTRAL for future growth.

### 10x Less Writing Time and 14x More Traffic with AI
Challenge: Contently needed to help managing editors serving Fortune 500 clients like Nordstrom and Spotify scale content output, without sacrificing brand voice, editorial standards, or accuracy on health-related content where errors carry real risk. Generic AI tools were unreliable for this use case.
Solution: Built the Contently AI Writer with integrated tone-matching, style control, fact-checking, and context processing subsystems. Accepted longer generation times (~5 minutes per article) to optimize quality over speed, and trained the system collaboratively with managing editors through iterative AI vs. human draft testing.
Results: Managing editors can now support more clients with the same effort. Writing time reduced 10x. Search traffic increased 14x.

### Doubled Revenue with ML Route Sequencing
Challenge: OnTrac needed to overhaul their mobile driver application to improve route efficiency, reduce errors, and increase profitability across their delivery operations.
Solution: NineTwoThree performed a full overhaul of OnTrac's mobile application with ML route sequencing to optimize delivery order across millions of packages.
Results: Increased driver efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Revenue doubled.

### AI Platform Delivers Real-Time Financial Insights
Challenge: Financial analysts at PRC Macro needed to synthesize a massive, fragmented flow of commodities news and data into actionable insights, without spending hours on manual research.
Solution: NineTwoThree and PRC Macro launched Commodities Hub — an AI platform with a finance-trained chatbot that processes over 15,000 articles daily, giving analysts unified, real-time research in a single interface.
Results: Analysts gain immediate access to synthesized market intelligence, replacing hours of manual research with instant, AI-curated insights from 15,000+ daily sources.
