Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a project consultant and technology advisor for a chain of hospitals. We have 93 centers across India and are expanding globally, starting with the Middle East and nearby countries.
What challenge were you trying to address with Kansoft Solutions?
I’m helping the hospital with its end-to-end digital transformation, and we’ve selected Kansoft to handle the development of an information system. It’s meant to improve the operational efficiency of the hospital and quality of patient care as well as ensure compliance and provide secure access to patient records.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Kansoft is developing our platform. Its function is to automate hospital processes end to end, including medical histories, prescriptions, lab investigations, appointments, registration, and billing. It’s a comprehensive solution through which every bit of information can be managed digitally, without the need for a paper trail. It provides report generation by selecting various parameters.
The platform has integration with various tools, including our CRM, financial system, pharmacy and POS software, and Aadhaar, which is the Indian identity system. Every citizen is registered on Aadhaar, so it’s useful for verifying patient identity.
The platform also has facial recognition features. It stores images from the government system and checks the identity of patients registering to the hospital. Kansoft created wireframes based on our requirements and process flows. The technologies used are ASP.NET Core and AngularJS.
What is the team composition?
We’re working with around 9–10 people from Kansoft. Four of those are dedicated support resources and the rest are engaged in development and testing. Prashant (COO) is my main point of contact.
How did you come to work with Kansoft Solutions?
We considered two other competitors, one of which was very arrogant and didn’t listen to us properly. The cost was also a criterion when selecting a vendor. During our introduction, Kansoft was able to understand hospital information even without prior knowledge. They understood the domain well.
They were flexible in dealing with the customer, which is essential when doing custom software development. There would be times when we wouldn’t have clear requirements, and Kansoft seemed flexible in dealing with those. They were knowledgeable and understanding in terms of general processes.
How much have you invested with them?
The cost so far is above $120,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Kansoft around May 2020, and our engagement is ongoing. Phase one is complete, and phase two is undergoing. The completion is estimated for May or June 2021, but it may go for 1–2 months beyond that.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We rolled out the first version in February 2021, and the feedback has been good. We have only 20 issues logged so far, and five of those are open, neither of which is critical. Kansoft’s understanding of our requirements has been good, and we haven’t faced any major challenges during implementation. The challenges we’ve had were on the hospital side because our infrastructure wasn’t ready and the internet was a bit slow.
How did Kansoft Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicate with them 1–2 times per week, and they keep us updated on the progress and health of the project. They’re using Smartsheet for communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The cost is attractive, and Kansoft is flexible with making changes to meet our expectations.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Kansoft should implement Microsoft Project or another project management tool in place of Smartsheet, in order to give us more visibility. The current tool is also good but there is room for improvement.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
If they’re looking for custom application development using the most advanced technologies and techniques, Kansoft offers low-cost solutions without compromising on quality.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director and CTO/COO of Jivana. We’re a subsidiary of a holding company in Switzerland. Essentially, we manufacture packaged drinking water and deliver that to households.
What challenge were you trying to address with Kansoft Solutions?
We executed around 7,000–8,000 customer deliveries per day. We had another vendor that provided software that wasn't able to operate at our scale. We needed to integrate our field executives with our ERP software and streamline operations.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Kansoft Solutions revamped and recoded our ERP software. Our original web app ran on ASP.Net, but that was no longer working. Their team updated the product to Core.Net and integrated the software with a CRM.
Then, their team developed a native Android app for our field executives. The goal was to automate the delivery process by equipping our delivery staff with an app. On the basis of consumption patterns, the platform creates trips, assigns them to drivers, and then have the drivers deliver our product to customers based on the requirement. The app also optimizes routes according to route and delivery data.
They also built a hybrid app for our customers, which was developed in the Ionic environment. We wanted to connect with customers and provide them with an app in order for them to manage their deliveries and invoices.
Now, we’re entering a new collaboration to take the four applications into a new software standard and make them licensable in terms of SaaS.
What is the team composition?
Usually, between 5–8 people worked on the project including their founders. The strategic aspects of the project were managed by one of the founders. When the project was broken down into sprints, a project manager took over.
How did you come to work with Kansoft Solutions?
When we arrived in India, we didn’t have much of a network. We came to know someone who put us in contact with the founders of Kansoft Solutions. We weren’t expecting much given our history with service providers, but their team turned out to be a needle in a haystack.
How much have you invested with them?
For the original scope, we ended up spending around $50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We got in contact with Kansoft Solutions in March 2018. In April, we set up our requirement documentation. By May, their team started development. The original scope wrapped up in October 2019. Now, we’re entering a new collaboration.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
For the field executive app, we’ve had positive feedback. Making the app was a challenge because it had to be functional and as easy to understand as possible. We were able to figure that out and within 4–6 weeks it was working perfectly. There were chances when the project could’ve gone down the drain but whenever that happened, their team would stay up until the middle of the night and sort it out. Kansoft Solutions has been a highly committed team.
How did Kansoft Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
Kansoft Solutions managed the product using Word documents and Excel files. They offered us access to a platform their team uses internally, but we didn’t make use of that. I've always been in contact with one of their founders. We've sat in meetings to discuss projects, which has taken a long time because their team has challenged us. Based on those conversations, their team has worked out the documentation. We've pushed them to be detailed not only verbally but also in emails and in official documents.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their team was capable and professional. One of their founders has a deep understanding of code. Rather than find solutions to minimal problems, Kansoft Solutions will always think further to arrive at the root of a problem. Their commitment and loyalty are such that we’d never witnessed. When there’s been an error, even if it was small, their team has done everything possible to make it right. They’ve been friendly but also professional.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Their team could improve their documentation and more often note requirements to be signed off officially. They could also use a tool like JIRA that includes their clients to optimize communication. Their team could also recruit more capable management staff because big companies are taking their good managers.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Take your time and listen to what they say. Return the loyalty they give you.

I’m the CEO of a mobile and web app development company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Kansoft Solutions?
We brought on Kansoft Solutions to support several development projects we were working on. This project, in particular, is a content delivery platform that distributes digital media like music and video.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We designed the platform and they developed the apps for us. For the web app, they used .NET to develop the frontend and SQL for the backend, and built a native mobile app. Then, they do user acceptance testing based on a criterion we provide.
Once they send us the product, we make sure all project requirements are met before meeting with our clients to do a second round of testing before the launch. Between our designs and their development, it has really been a joint effort. Both our team and Kansoft Solutions continue to support the app.
What is the team composition?
We work directly with the owners of Kansoft Solutions, and they have a team of 7–10 people working on the project.
How did you come to work with Kansoft Solutions?
The owner of Kansoft Solutions is my partner’s brother-in-law. Their team of developers is based overseas, and we were nervous about the time difference, but we settled on Kansoft Solutions because of their overall knowledge and reasonable price.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $87,000 so far, and expect to spend $100,000 in total.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project started in February 2018 and the work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our client accepted the product after the first round of integration and user acceptance testing. So far everything has gone well, and people love the app. We’re currently in beta and expect to launch in the next few months.
We’re really happy with the quality of their work, how quickly they delivered, and the cost. Our back and forth was minimal because they got it right the first time around.
How did Kansoft Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
Their communication is top-notch and they deliver on time every time. Their project manager is our main point of contact, and they interact directly with our project manager to manage the schedule and the overall timeline.
Like us, they work using an agile method, so they’re extremely adaptable and have similar sprint planning sessions. While our architects speak daily, they communicate as needed and use various tools.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We have three or four active projects with them, and they’re able to juggle everything. They always follow through and deliver on time.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing I can think of.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
It’s helpful to have a project lead who can translate or speak the language to effectively communicate business requirements and manage the project overall. Also, new customers should know what they want developed to save time and money.

Our multiple applications was created 4-5 years back and during upgradation we started working with Kansoft, as we have limited resources in my technical team. Our internal technical team skillset was not upgraded.

We found reference from somewhere in my network, and after technical/commercial evaluation taken Kansoft on board. Kansoft team given best service and delivered quality work within given timeline. Really done appreciable job.

There are 4-5 resources working and again depends on requirements.

We love the deliverables and the way of support they are providing. Also team did fantastic work on UI/UX.

We are managing project from our side. However Mr. Prashant is always there to manage everything very well. We never required followup and reminders for any critical deliverables.

The team is very professional and supportive. Also easy approachable and understanding level is also good. Senior management team is also good.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Some improvement can be done in documentation side.
The solution's first version has launched and received positive feedback. The good quality of the platform shows that Kansoft Solutions has a deep understanding of the requirements and objectives. They provide progress updates and maintain regular communication.
