HBO / HBO GO
We developed a browser-based AR campaign to bring HBO posters to life.
The user only had to type ar.hbo.hu on their smartphone and allow the website to use the camera. The HBO poster then came to life through the phone.
We were the first one in Hungary to use web AR technology. The biggest challenge was to place a marker* on the poster that could serve as a reference point for positioning the AR animation.
This marker eventually became a black square placed around some text and placed in the corner of the poster - this is what the algorithm was looking for and set the position and size of the objects shown on the screen accordingly.
We had to put in all our creativity and several surprising tricks for the AR animation to be enjoyable from a distance (up to 4-5 meters) and to avoid, under all circumstances, the images to “shake” or “bounce” even on older devices.
*: We used AR.js for the development, which at that time did not yet support Natural Feature Tracking. Nowadays, we don’t have to place weird QR-like markers, any image can be a marker, even a photo - of course we’ve tried that as well since then.

DDB / Telekom Hello Biznisz Klub
Telekom wanted a platform where SMEs could present their services: thus the Hello Business Club was born.
Telekom wanted a platform where SMEs could introduce themselves. They wanted to help companies in trouble during the first wave of the COVID-19 epidemic with an opportunity to be visible.
On the interface of Hello Business Club, companies can edit their own, unique banner, and with this banner they can appear on Telekom's interfaces for free.
The banner creator was built on canvas technology with custom development. Users can drag a photo into a visual editor and the system will automatically generate the result in several standard banner sizes.
An important aspect in the design of the interface was that although we ask for a lot of data during the application, the registration should be done quickly and smoothly. With several rounds of user testing, we finally managed to create a registration flow with minimal dropout.
To this day, the website is operated at 100% uptime, and 500+ SMEs have already presented their services through it.

Hungarian Chamber of Agriculture / HCA Marketplace
We had the opportunity to develop a software for the Chamber of Agriculture to deal with the crisis situation under COVID-19.
In April 2020, we were approached by the National Chamber of Agriculture with an urgent project. We have had to develop a B2B platform where new trades and supply chains could be established for farmers and traders being in a difficult situation due to the coronavirus epidemic.
There was no technical innovation in the software, but we are still very proud of it, as:

We assessed the business needs with a deadline of a few days and designed a user-friendly, useful software.

We have been able to contribute to tackle the difficult economic situation.

In only 4 working days (developing even during the long weekend) we created a complex software that is used to this day without any changes.
It was technologically interesting that anyone can log in to the site with a Chamber ID (there are hundreds of thousands of Chamber members), so we did not have to develop a separate registration and user authentication, but built an interface with the existing SAP system.
DEDU / Kajla
Speed, Load, Stability - In the Kajla Championship, players were able to answer live questions from the presenter.
The live broadcast was preceded by long preparations: we simulated tens of thousands of online players during load tests and optimized the server environment until we could be sure that every player would receive the question at exactly the moment it was presented.
According to the rules of the quiz, the response time was also included in the scoring, so every millisecond counted.
That’s why we chose WebSocket technology and built a unique server environment behind the quiz.
It was a special challenge to create the Ngixn config, which confidently receives up to thousands of responses from players at a time.
We used NodeJS as the backend-side language: the application saved the result of the round into memory during the game, minimizing the number of database operations, thus increasing the speed further.
The presenter got his own admin panel where he could follow the game live and launch the next question.
The system eventually became fast as lightning and stable.

Pro Bono Web Development for Rózsaház
In matters that are dear to us in addition to donations we also try to provide help where we can. This is how we developed a pro bono website for Rózsaház Waldorf Elementary School of Special Education and Elementary School of Art in 2021.
We are so proud of the fact that as a result of the new website Rózsaház could obtain 3x more donations in 2021 than the previous year. And by launching the site, parents have an easy access now to download all the necessary documents and data cards related to their children.

I was working with Ikontent at my previous company. A creative agency located in Budapest with clients from various industries (eg. telecommunications, fast food etc.). My position was there Senior Account Manager, I was responsible for Magyar Telekom's B2B communication.

Telekom already had a website for a cotent platform called Hello Biznisz where small and medium enterprises (SMEs) were the target group. We wanted to extend the services with a solution where SMEs could represent themselves in order to find customers and / or business partners. The goal was to create this unique platform (Hello Biznisz Klub) and raise brand awareness amongst SMEs.

Ikontent was recommended by a project team member. After we discussed the scope, the timing and the cost estimate with Ikontent, we were confident to give them the project.

We followed a "normal" website development process that went very well. This is not so unique, what worked outstandigly well is that in every 2-3 days we had personal (via conf call) meetings where we talked through the current status of the development, the next steps - that made us feel secure about the timing and the whole process.

After launching the website, we overachived the target number of registered SMEs by 20%.

We started to work together right at the time when everybody started to work from home due to covid. That's important as that time most companies in Hungary were not perpared for working full time from home. Ikontent was very easy to communicate with, our regular Teams calls made our cooperation smooth. They always informed us about the current timing and let us know when they felt the kick off day is in danger.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They were very patient with us as none of us were digital professionals. They always explained us the problems, the next steps in a way that we could understand them (so without using technical words). They always focused on solving the problems. They were easy to reach. They were always coming to us with improvement ideas. They did not just do the job, but they always proved their added value.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
The devolepment (UX, back end) and the project management parts were perfect, I think that regarding the design (front end) there could be room for improvement.

We had no integrated IT systems but needed some special solutions such as internal portal, mobile application with different special agri-govermental functions.

We had previous experience with them from other positions and projects and I know that they are efficient and fast during the development process.

I may not be the best person to describe the technologies they used, all I know, that the softwares were either thin client applications or mobile apps.
The main functions was group work support, and information broadcasting, something like a corporate facebook on one hand.
The mobile apps covered some special buerocratic processes which needed to be done by the farmers and we helped them with the applications, etc.

As far as I know 2-3 people of IKontent was in touch with us and the were some business analyst and project managers or something similar.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The delivery circumstances were not easy as our IT had faced several challenges during this time, but IKontent performed well to reach the goals on time. We got a company wide "Intranet" solution with several functions to became the major communication chanell within the organization.
Later on we got the mobil apps for public use, planned to reach about 100k+ users, aiming different functions such as registration number checking or plant disease forcasting.

Their main asset was that they were able to communicate with our poorly staffed project organization and were able to aggregate a set of requierements and manage the deployment process.
Main asset was - I think - the interpersonal communication skill and assertiveness.

They were fast, effective, and user-oriented.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
They should have to escalate the problems more, instead of trying to solve it, even if it was not their fault. This caused some misundestanding during the process even though most of the original problems were solved by the vendor.

What were your goals for this project?
We wanted to renew our existing mobile app to a newer version with a fresh design, and new functions.

We wanted to choose a company that we can trust, and who has the right competencies and team for the project. We interviewed a few companies and requested offers, and we found that Ikontent would be the best fit for the project.
Describe the project in detail.
This is a digital banking mobile app based on React native. It has a wide range of functionality that is required in a mobile banking application. Ikontent developed the first release/version of the application, and - as we previously planned - we started maintaining the application, and created our own mobile developer team, who is currently still working on this project with new functions and enhancements.
What was the team composition?
We had a dedicated project manager, and 3-4 mobile developers which changed over the project roadmap.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We still use the application's newer versions, and our customers give us good reviews, so I assume this was a successful project.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We were effective in communication, and no significant problems appeared during the project.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I really like to work with them, both leaders at the company are fair and reliable experts, and also good people. They really cared about their customers, and they tried to create the best possible product as well.
Are there any areas for improvement?
We provided the backend/endpoints through the project and had issues with delivering everything in time, which created them hard time with the resource management. This caused some issues in the delivery, but overall, we found a solution for finalizing the project. In general it is hard for smaller developer teams to manage this changes in a project, and it is hard to improve, but this is a field when great project management can help.

This was one of our first common project. It was about a website development, where the goal was to implement a modern website which is connected to external systems and suitable for handling complex user notifications. In addition, a complex interface had to be developed as well in order to serve mobile applications.

We got to know them through a recommendation of a colleague. After several conversations and a pilot project, it was pretty clear that they represent excellent quailty in their work field.

During the kickoff meeting, we discussed the specification and design plans. Together, we also identified key milestones regarding the project. We were in continous and direct contact with the appointed project manager, and there were also opportunities for regular fixed-date meetings. They were flexible and helpful during the whole process.

We received all work material in due time, we were very satisfied with their deliverables.

First of all their user-friendly approach. Their openness and cooperative attitude was a positive experience. It was clear that the project was important to them, their goal was to maximize the quality of the work and the user experience.

In my opinion, the parties must be familiar with each other in terms of working method, style and expectations. In our case, it happened quickly, so I can’t give an example here, the cooperation was efficient.

As a new Organization - where we have to talk to parents, donors and different institutes at the same time - we had to create a website for curious visitors and an online donation payment page on one surface.

We have heard a lot about Ikontent previous works and experiences, so there wasn't any question about the cooperation.

We had kick off meeting with their Head of Development and with the dedicated Project manager. They created some sheets and procedures where we were able to share all our ideas, text and media contents. Based on our initials they created some design possibilities.
The decision making process is long, slow and difficult in our company. So there were around 4-5 rounds where we had changes, new requests, but they were flexible and helpful during the whole project. Based on the accepted webdesign they developed our page in Strapi.com framework system. For the payment site they created our donation platform with an integrated online payment solution.

There were 3 milestones where we met with all the stakeholders, like Head of Developer Team, UX designers and Account manager. Most of the time we were in touch with a professional dedicated Account manager.

After launching the site the parents can reach and download all the important documents and data cards. The donation site exists as a microsite inside the webpage, where we generated 3 times more donors than a year ago.

As I touched above, we already have a business relation and we were convinced that iKontent Digital Company would be able develop a high-end apps for our customers.

As a first step, I sketched our plane then after some personal consultation I prepared a little bit more detailed plan of system. Then the company gave an indicative offer. Some iterations were necessary previously so that the company could start the work. Now we have to apps (iOS, Android), practically the same with social login (our desktop as well in each element), push notification.

We have a direct contact with the senior, leader software developper and one of his assistant. We have excellent working relations.

We just dared to advertise our apps, because we wanted a totally reliable app for our customers. I can confirm, our customer, who use our apps, are very satisfied. However, we operate in the agricultural sectors, we can convince our costumers with little bit difficulty, they became accustomed to our desktop system.

Due to my newness in the IT-developping world, originally we coordinated our work via e-mail and word documents, then we changed to Google docs. Regularly we met personally.
