Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade is a growing chain of lemonade stands based out of the Hawaiian islands that now reaches from Japan to Arizona.

With their expansion, they were looking to solidify their brand positioning as they continued to expand.  They first came to us to develop a social media campaign.

We created an initial campaign focusing

on the local and adventurous feel of their Hawaiian origins. We used their current positioning and a series of promotions in combination with a social media based campaign. In conjunction with their campaign, we went to work creating them a network of local, Hawaiian brand reps. To fully capture the feel of the brand, we negotiated for influencers to submit video and photos of their own island adventures. We then edited and crafted content to be used on Instagram and YouTube.

After a few months of work, we had established and maintained a brand rep network of around 40 Hawaii-based influencers. Additionally, we were able to run fresh video content every 24 hours, 7 days per week on Instagram. 100% of the content provided through brand rep submissions. The result was massive user engagement, with Instagram views going up by 400%.

The project manager I worked directly with made communication fluid and easy. He made himself easily available to me, and communicated his progress in the project with me regularly! The team was able to see and execute my ideas and goals.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

What I found to be most impressive about Huntington Pacific Media was they absolutely stand behind their slogans! "we make you famous" is on their website... I may not be considered "famous," but I sure felt that way! Especially with the business that came from managing and growing my social media.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Things can always be improved upon. If we stop improving then we are not growing. Huntington Pacific also offers phenomenal video and photo production, from what I hear! This may be something I use with them in the future!

We have a main point of contact but work with a team of three. 

How did you come to work with Huntington Pacific Media?

We had a bad experience with a previous firm and were looking to work with someone new. After searching for digital marketing firms and conducting a series of interviews we selected Huntingtin Pacific Media. 

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we've spent $50,000 over the past five months, but expect to spend a little over $90,000 by the end of the year.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing relationship with Huntington Pacific Media began in February 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve seen positive results across the metrics we track through Sprout, including our amount of followers and our engagement rate. Feedback from customers has shown that the quality of our social media presence has improved since making the switch to Huntington Pacific Media.  

How did Huntington Pacific Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management has been fine. They are always quick to respond. Their regular reports and Sprout help us track the effects of their work.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

We appreciated their level of responsiveness. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Huntington Pacific Media is doing a great job. At times, it feels as though they could use more people on their team. Since they’re a growing team, this is a big engagement for them. They put forth quality work despite their small size.

They were responsible for SEO and Google AdWords, website development, and Yelp, Google, and Bing management.

We worked with Jordan (CEO, Huntington Pacific Media) and a small remote team.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They never followed through on the agreed upon scope of work, providing only excuses as to why the work wasn’t completed. We pulled the plug after 60 days.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Once we signed the contract, we saw little to no work done on their side, and they didn’t answer our calls for weeks on end. We were greatly disappointed. If you value transparency in your marketing group, HPM is not for you.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their ability to convince clients to sign contracts is outstanding.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Providing a granular contract with specific repercussions could hold them accountable for the work they say they’ll deliver. Currently, they only offer a one-page scope of work. I advise anyone thinking of working with them to include a refund option in the contract.

They also did some graphic designs.

We worked with a total of five people. Jordan (Owner, Huntington Pacific Media) was our lead. There were two other people on the project at the beginning, and then two additional people joined as it went on.

My former partner found them. Someone he knew referred them to us.

We spent $7,000 a month for three months.

What is the status of this engagement? 

We worked together from September–December 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They did a really good job. Huntington Pacific Media was instrumental in creating a marketing plan and getting us working in an organized manner. The short duration of the project wasn't due to their lack of performance; rather it was due to our financial situation. Even though we're no longer using them, they impressed upon us how important planning and organization are for success. 

How did Huntington Pacific Media perform from a project management standpoint? 

My former partner was the one who was overseeing their work. They used the Monday project management program for communication. They were responsive, timely, and proactive. 

What did you find most impressive about them? 

Jordan, in particular, was so professional. I appreciated that he’s never pushy. A lot of salespeople are aggressive, so it was refreshing that he’s so understanding. It was nice working with him. 

Are there any areas they could improve? 

No. They didn't even know our industry at the start and worked diligently to learn about it. The only reason we let them go was because of issues on our end.

Do you have any advice for potential customers? 

Communicate well and trust them.
