We needed help with our overall marketing.

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Huntington Pacific Media conducted weekly marketing meetings with our team members and their own team. They put together a plan for what to do on social media and through email blasts. They let us know what types of things we needed to focus on in branding to get more customers. They assessed what we were doing wrong and what needed to be fixed. They also did some graphic designs. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with a total of five people. Jordan (Owner, Huntington Pacific Media) was our lead. There were two other people on the project at the beginning, and then two additional people joined as it went on. 

How did you come to work with Huntington Pacific Media?

My former partner found them. Someone he knew referred them to us. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $7,000 a month for three months.

What is the status of this engagement? 

We worked together from September–December 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They did a really good job. Huntington Pacific Media was instrumental in creating a marketing plan and getting us working in an organized manner. The short duration of the project wasn't due to their lack of performance; rather it was due to our financial situation. Even though we're no longer using them, they impressed upon us how important planning and organization are for success. 

How did Huntington Pacific Media perform from a project management standpoint? 

My former partner was the one who was overseeing their work. They used the Monday project management program for communication. They were responsive, timely, and proactive. 

What did you find most impressive about them? 

Jordan, in particular, was so professional. I appreciated that he’s never pushy. A lot of salespeople are aggressive, so it was refreshing that he’s so understanding. It was nice working with him. 

Are there any areas they could improve? 

No. They didn't even know our industry at the start and worked diligently to learn about it. The only reason we let them go was because of issues on our end.

Do you have any advice for potential customers? 

Communicate well and trust them.

What challenge were you trying to address with Huntington Pacific Media?

Iron Rebel was already branded fairly well, but we needed to improve the Granite side. Our challenge was figuring out how to brand that aspect of our company. 

Since branding doesn't immediately bring positive ROIs, we tried to address specific challenges like through digital marketing and managing athletes to generate intermediate returns.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Huntington Specific Media helped us recreate our website with a specific feel and branding. They also worked on our social media. We gave them a lot of direction on how to go about their work. 

Our company does social media marketing and digital marketing, so it wasn't completely new to us. We simply needed their team to execute our plan, or even just create a promotional campaign we could follow and implement.

We mainly interfaced with Jordan (CEO, Huntington Pacific Media), as well as Stephen (Digital Project Manager, Huntington Pacific Media). 

How did you come to work with Huntington Pacific Media?

We found Huntington Pacific Media through a referral from our CFO. Once we interviewed them and talked for a while, we had them do a bit of work to see how they performed. We liked the quality of their work, so we hired them full time.

For one company, we invested about $40,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started our project in September 2018. They're still working with us to a degree on social media and digital marketing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Huntington Pacific Media redid our website's homepage. I don't know if there was an immediate impact, but they cleaned it up, and it now looks much better. They've offered us more and better-quality reporting on how our ad campaigns perform like PPC ads on social media outlets and email campaigns. Reporting had been a prominent missing link they've provided for us. They were able to translate our progress around monetization and results into numbers so we could accurately evaluate our campaigns. 

How did Huntington Pacific Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Huntington Pacific Media's correspondence was great. Communication with key along different channels because we had so many moving parts. They were responsive and easy to get ahold of. We talked numerous times throughout the day. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Huntington Pacific Media is willing to go above and beyond the scope of work. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing comes to mind. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Future clients should make sure their own company's infrastructure is set before bringing the team on. Huntington works faster using the structured procedures they have in place. Since our processes are less established, we found out the hard way through a two-way learning curve.

Our focus has been primarily the social media aspect, though they are helping us build our YouTube channel as well. We also partnered with them for input on how we can communicate and inspire our followers in a way that is not just traditional sales marketing. We never have the intention of selling our customers something; our goal has always been to inspire them.

I primarily worked with Jordan, the owner. There are a couple of people involved in the day to day; about 2–3 on a consistent basis.

How did you come to work with Huntington?

This was our first time working with an agency. Most of the things we had done previously were done in-house. We’ve had a couple of people help us in a few small areas, but we've never turned something over to another firm.

We were referred by a friend of ours who had worked with them and I reached out after that. We started slow with a couple of test areas and grew from there. They were super responsive and very proactive, and we continued to trust them with more over the first initial 3 or 4 months.

We have spent less than $10,000 in total so far, and spend about $1,000 a month.

Our engagement began in July of 2017 and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They helped us develop a core program with different ambassadors in Hawaii that had been too hard for us to maintain on our own. They have done a really good job with those relationships.

We’ve definitely seen a growth in our social media on our YouTube channels, Facebook and Instagram. They have helped us to expand our reach and have been expanding brand awareness. They really helped us to capitalize on our current followers and customers, and have come up with creative new ways to communicate.

How did Huntington Pacific Media perform from a project management standpoint?

It’s great. They’re very responsive and proactive. I haven’t had to reach out to them to ask for something I didn’t have as they are usually very proactive weekly. They send me updates, statistics, and other information.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very reliable and always go a little bit above and beyond what we contracted them for. They provide services for us without necessarily charging for them because they felt they would help us. It’s nice because it feels like they are on our team, helping us grow, and they don’t treat us as just another paying client they have to service.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing at the moment as far as what I’ve noticed within our services.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I always recommend starting slow and with small projects. Get a feel for how your companies work together and for the experience level and the type of work that is done. Build the relationship once you can see that.

In today’s market, there are many firms and people that are marketing themselves as social media experts who will charge you and then turn you over to an automated system to help expand your social media network. There is not a lot of personal time and they don’t do much work.

With Jordan and his team, they are actively involved. They communicate with our brand ambassadors, build content, and creatively directing content. They took the direction I gave them for who the brand is, and have taken over smoothly, which has been cool to see.
