World Expo - Future Energy Forum
On behalf of the Astana EXPO-2017 and TRIAD Berlin, Haikai Photo was responsible for the complete photo and video documentation of the event Future Energy Forum: a world-class international series of conferences, which took place from 29 June to 5 September, 2017 in Astana, Kazakhstan.
At the twelve conferences with up to 400 participants, over 50 nations have come together in the new Congress Center of the EXPO. Internationally connected institutions like the European Union, Nazarbayev University, OECD, UNESCO, UNIDO as well as UNITAR have been represented. 500 speakers from the scientific, political and economic sectors have taken part in keynotes, panels, and workshops – amongst them were the solar flight pioneer Prof Dr Bertrand Piccard, the astrophysicist and Nobel Laureate Prof George Smoot, as well as global strategist Dr Parag Khanna.
Huawei Developer Day
Haikai Photo was responsible for the complete photo and video documentation of the Huawei Developer Day that took place during the WebSummit 2019 in Lisbon, the world’s biggest tech and start-up industry event, with more than 70.000 guests from all over the world.
State Visit of the royal couple of the Netherlands
Haikai Photo was commisioned by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to be the official photographer of the State Visit of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands to Portugal.
Pfizer Summit
Haikai Photo was commisioned by Pfizer to document a summit that took place in Lisbon in Portugal through with high-end photos and videos.
State Visit and Trade Mission to Portugal
Haikai Photo had the honour to be the official photographer of the Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg during its trade mission to Portugal. Beside taking part in several events and visits to outstanding Portuguese public and private institutions, its members attended the official visit of Luxembourg's Head of State, the Grand Duke Henri, to Lisbon, where he was warmly received by Portugal's president Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa during the Portugal-Luxembourg Economic Forum.

I am the project manager of the film production company MAAM.TV which has produced several international award-winning documentaries during the last ten years.
For what projects/services did your company hire Haikai Photo, and what were your goals?
We worked with Haikai Photo on three different feature-length documentaries: “Why Competitions”, “Der Erste Tag”, “This is my Heritage,” as well as several other short commercial and corporate projects, the most recent one being a promotional film for the new music festival "realtime" in Bremen, Germany (project is still ongoing).
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We selected Haikai Photo because of their reliability, professionalism and extensive experience in the industry combined with the competitive prices they were able to offer us on all occasions.

On all the projects in which we partnered with them, Haikai Photo was responsible for cinematography services, color grading and mastering.
Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?
We worked with Haikai Photos founder and owner Theo Solnik, who was always available and responded immediately to our feedback during the approval processes of each phase of the post-production process. Also, he was very attentive to details on set.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
All projects in which we partnered with Haikai Photo were invited to several film festivals around the world and received numerous awards. We are certain that without Haikai Photo’s expertise we would not have achieved the same results.

The feedback process and communication went extremely smoothly and they were a deciding factor in the success of all our projects.

They are attentive in details and have extensive knowledge in all areas of film production, as well as the ease of communication and reliability.

We were very satisfied and there was nothing we would have liked Haikai Photo to change about the process.

For what projects/services did your company hire Haikai Photo, and what were your goals?
Theo Solnik is a one of a kind creator. More than being fully equipped with state of the art gear, his background as film director, independent producer and self taught musician gives his projects a unique signature. The project we worked was a photo shoot for a client from Dubai; we were asked to produce a photo shoot for a brand of costumed design clothes.

Through friends. I always look for personal references.

We had less than 24 hours to understand what could be done. I had never experienced such know how (and fun) while doing a commercial work. We also did an "in the making" video; it turned out to be an incredible asset for the client.
