Introduce your business and what you do there.

My organization is called Community Transformation Network Foundation. It's a nonprofit community-based network organization registered in Uganda, and our work is largely social economic empowerment. I'm the organization’s development and partnerships manager.

We work with about 40 local-based community organizations, and we bring them together to advocate for a number of things such as rights, education for children, poverty alleviation, and health among others.

What challenge were you trying to address with GoGlobal?

GoGlobal supports us in developing and managing our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They’re responsible for developing, designing, and uploading content, and making sure that our website is seen, is available, and provides the information that our audience needs. We have a slow internet connection in Uganda, so the website has to be optimized so that it can upload media even with a slow internet connection.

They built the website from scratch at the beginning of the project. I gave them materials and documents of how we wanted it to look like, as well as the content — they looked at them and then provided the technical guidance.

Additionally, since our programming is a mixed audience, they had to ensure that it’s balanced in terms of content and media. Basically, we wanted a website that’s robust and is able to meet our needs.

They developed the website using WordPress, and they provided us with SEO optimization and plugin implementation.

What is the team composition?

The main point of contact is with Mark (Team Leader), and he has a team of people he works with.

How did you come to work with GoGlobal?

They were recommended to me by a friend when I was doing some personal work and logo development, which isn’t part of our organization’s work.

They worked on my logo and I was really satisfied by their timeliness, so I recommended them to my organization to take on this work.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $2,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

This engagement started in June 2021, and the original contract was just supposed to be for a month, but our partnership is still ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We wanted to make sure that our website is accessible and visible to our users on both desktop and mobile, and that’s what Goglobal has done. I think their communication has been very open and quick, and they’ve also been receptive to our feedback concerning changes that need to be made.

How did GoGlobal perform from a project management standpoint?

We are satisfied. For communication, we use mostly email and WhatsApp, and we don’t have any specific tools that we use for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication is always on point. We had worked with website designers in the past, who didn’t understand what we were telling them. I feel that GoGlobal is more receptive and professional in how they engage with us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Right now, I don't feel that there’s anything that needs improvement. I'm satisfied with them because they've been very receptive to us.

Any advice for potential customers?

Anyone looking to engage with them needs to be very open to some technical guidance, especially about website design. Sometimes, we come with things in mind that might be a bit ambiguous and maybe impossible, so always maintain open communication.

Goglobal developed my website. They continue to update the information on it and help us with online marketing using Google Ads.

I found them online. I had a conversation with them on how to develop my website and how to make it more attractive. They gave me suggestions and proposed business with me. I felt they would be a good partner.

We started working together in December 2017, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The work they do is terrific — I appreciate their work. When I suggest something for the website, they're speedy and appeal to what I’m thinking and expecting — I didn’t lose any time working with them.

How did Goglobal perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is perfect, and everything has worked well since we began. They come up with ideas, which I appreciate. In terms of communication, we use email and WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re accessible; I can contact them during the night. It’s easy to communicate with them and to perform the intended work at the appropriate time.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They need to expand their expertise, and they should add services like SEO.
