I'm the owner at event & logitics company headquartered in Belgium. Our compa,ny has about 15 employees and we serve corporate clients all along Europe. I oversee our digital products and systems.

Our company needed a new system to manage our inventory, offers, invoices and availibility of the rental products. We had notice a steady increase in managing our products and we decided to invest in a new online-program. We do not have in-house engineers to build and adapt the existing software to our needs, so we decided to outsource that part.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to be able to manage all our administration from the quotation to the invoicing in 2 languages. And at the same time to have a clear view on the available items.

How did you select this vendor?

I searched online for a engineer having knowledge of the program and able to quickly work on it. We contacted a list of 5 companies and narrowed it down to 2 after receiving their initial approach. We selected this vendor based ont heir knowledge, approach and reactivity.

Once we selected this vendor, we had a series of discovery chats to discuss our goals and objectives. Within the first days they directly started the implementation has discussed and asking for feedbacks to be sure they met our request.

After the first development, their capacity to understand our needs and to think with us, permitted us to go further in the project and to make the scope larger than asked (on our request).

What was the team composition?

We were assigned a project manager to support us and serve as main point of contact troughout the project. I only spoke with our Project Manager.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Within 3 months after the firts contact our platform was ready and ready to use for our colleagues. A few weeks later, I asked for some extra adaptations (that we discovered by working in the new program) and they directly adapted what we asked. We are now using our program for more than one year with complete satisfaction.

The project Manager that we were assigned was very easy to communicate with and provide us updates and extra ideas.

The developers took over the project from a failing developer. They started all over again from scratch. Installing WordPress on local UK host. They installed all plugins, and theme.

The site was integrated with payment gateways including cc clearance, PayPal, Amazon pay. They also integrated all stock recording and order reconciliation with Amazon FBA. They eventually took over all marketing activities as well.

What was the team composition?

I worked directly with a singular point of contact, a manager in charge of a development team, and later a separate distal marketing team.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The work was superb. Very fast, very responsive, with excellent customer service. The service charges were also very reasonable and much cheaper than other companies. They achieved all the goals and went beyond which was required

As stated previously there was one point of contact, which saved a lot of headache. Communication was managed via Skype with a free flow of information and specification requests.

Our goal is to provide travelers with the best experience when searching for a local vacation rental. Travelers have options when looking for their perfect vacation rental. This includes photos, descriptions, availability dates and most importantly direct owner contact.

How did you select this vendor?

After being dissatisfied with the local developer I did some research and found Freelancer. After submitting my work description I had lots of responses with a price quote. I chose to have a representative help in my search and they sent a recommendation for their services. Luckily it was a good recommendation and I couldn't be happier!

They developed, designed and consulted to get the best from the website. All was documented with daily communication. A lot of times I had them make changes to make the website user friendly. In the end we feel this is what a vacation rental website is supposed to be including the option of online booking.

They were recommended to us by one of our friends who is an IT solution expert. We had requested proposals from 3 other companies as well. Compared to others, Baya.digital's proposal was comprehensive with a more realistic cost estimate.

They started by providing us with the project mockup first, and then the project timeline, cost estimates for each phase and the technical descriptions. They also helped in server set up and the deployment of each build.

They had one project manager who was our primary point of contact. There were other members in the team but to keep the communication streamlined we only communicated via the project manager.

We have been able to offer different service tiers to customers starting with a free membership. As a result, our market presence and customer awareness both are better. There are more conversions these days simply because we are collecting more leads. Since the platform is more stable and scalable, we have been able to gradually introduce additional features as well.

We used shared documents and enabled collaboration. Mostly, we communicated in skype and exchanged screenshots and recordings using CloudApp.

There were elements of the website that were missing

What were your goals for this project?

Wanted the website to be updated, and for the supplier to train us how to update the information ourselves

How did you select this vendor?

I was impressed by their CV and the body of work they exhibited

There were a number of elements: information pages and a shop which needed to be linked to external software providers

What was the team composition?

We were assigned to one person who liaised with us throughout. He then brought another team member to help us with the training

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project was completed successfully and we started selling courses and giving complimentary courses via our online shop and this has started to happen

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was very good, the communication was very clear, the supplier was prompt in responding and very clear about what they needed, which helped

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their willingness to help and be helpful, and the technical skills to make the work done easy to update by a non technical user

Very happy with both the working relationship and the results
