BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the VP R&D of InsFocus Systems LTD, a major player in the Insurance BI ecosystem. Our main BI application is already implemented in more than 80% of the local market and has been under development in the latest form since 2009. Along with the BI, we develop a few other supporting applications all focused on business needs of insruance companies.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Axicube?

Our main application - InsFocus BI has been around for almost 10 years now. In the last couple of years, we've added a few more applications to our toolset. In regards to UI/UX we had a major challenge of taking our current design, adopt it to the new and modern application sphere, while keeping the design fit with our other applications and create a unified design system for all.

Our major challenge with regards to that, was to keep our clients feel at home and not break their day to day work with our tools.

SOLUTION

How did you select Axicube?

I searched online for quite some time looking for a vendor with great experience in the kind of things we need to work on (financial applications). I was specifically looking for someone with experience in applications and one that could feel part of our team.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

The project was built from a few major steps: Research - gathering all of our requirements, our current status, learning what we have and what is missing. Concept - Build a concept that would answer everything we were looking for. Style guide - unified design system for all applications. Atomic design - build each and every component UI/UX. Review outputs, and Main screens - design main screens and complicated scenarios.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We're very happy with the results. We already started building the foundations for the revamped applications and receive very nice reactions from our customers. We build our next generation of products on this design.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Valentyn and his team are super hands-on. Everything was fluent from day 1 and we started seeing results faster than we believed. Most of their initial concepts and designs were accepted without any feedback.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their skills and vast experience in the app domain and quick perception of what should be done are impressive.
