ATRIUM's focus on achieving results through search marketing and leveraging the website as a tool was impressive. Many others beleive that publishing a website alone will result in market opportunities. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something ATRIUM could have done differently?

The website development took more effort to execute, partly due to the scope of content generated by the customer, and partly due to the site's implentation and structure to satisfy search engine algorithms while keeping the site friendly to humans.  The team was responsive and success was acheived! Advances were seen by both computer and human visitors.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Atrium spent a lot of time trying to understand our business. There was a brief period of strong results at the beginning of the program and when we cancelled our SEO program and moved our budget to PPC, but big lulls of little to no viable leads was the norm.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Atrium had a strong onboarding process where the partners were heavily involved. However, this did not carry on throughout the program. Often times, the reports felt one sided based on their own data and they did not take the time to help or understand the actual outcomes on the client side. There was a strong mismatch between the positive results they reported and the actual results we saw as a business.

They were very responsive to our emails at the beginning of the program. However, they were no longer as responsive later on in the program. Sometimes, there was no response.

What was your primary form of communication with ATRIUM?

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

ATRIUM has a great onboarding process.

Are there any areas for improvement or something ATRIUM could have done differently?

Atrium could have done a better job truly helping us look at the actual results on the business side, including number of viable leads that were actually generated.

Their quarterly reporting is timely but it is often based only on the data they present rather than actual results for the business.

They could be more responsive to emails, sometimes taking weeks to respond if at all.

Sometimes changes are not made or done properly, so an ineffective strategy could run for an entire quarter (3 months). They do not often do check-ins or updates within the quarter.

I'm in charge of safety and QA at Interior Elite Contracting, a 10-year-old contracting company based in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. We do general contracting, from window and door installations to custom home building.

What challenge were you trying to address with ATRIUM?

As part of my role, I also do administrative IT work; that's how I got involved with ATRIUM. For this project, we needed help with SEO and digital marketing. We already had a company doing that work previously, but we weren't seeing improvements in our rankings. For example, we weren't showing up on the first page of Google search results. Therefore, we decided to reach out to ATRIUM instead.

What was the scope of their involvement?

ATRIUM provides SEO and digital marketing for my company. Initially, we provided them with all our previous data from Google Analytics. The team also writes content pieces for our blog. Thus, we also showed them our previous content pieces initially and guided them through what we liked and disliked about those pieces.

As part of their services, ATRIUM has also done all the keyword research involved, including optimizing our search terms for Google. Now, we're looking into potentially expanding their services in the future.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Thanks to ATRIUM, we're starting to see increased traffic to our website, as well as an increased presence on Google and other search engines. We've also been working with ATRIUM to expand our marketing so that we catch more of the commercial division of construction, which is something quite new to us. Slowly, we've been seeing that we're coming up as part of the results when people search for keywords related to commercial construction.

How did ATRIUM perform from a project management standpoint?

Everything has been delivered on time and on budget. ATRIUM is great with communication. Whenever I reach out to my project coordinator, she's awesome about getting back to me right away. Even if she doesn't have an answer to my question immediately, she reaches out to let me know that she saw my email and that she's working with her team to answer it. Moreover, she's always available. We have a quarterly meeting to discuss the last quarter and what's happening in the next one.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

The SEO technician is great at explaining. I'm a technical person, but my team member in charge of our marketing isn't. However, ATRIUM's SEO technician always ensures that they explain their work at a level my teammate can understand. My teammate really appreciates that they take the time to explain technical concepts in plainer terms.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I really like the way that ATRIUM manages their projects. They have a really easy system for content creation and reviewing. Moreover, they're very receptive to any changes we want to make. Overall, I'm very happy with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There's nothing that ATRIUM needs to work on.

Firstly, don't be scared of the initial cost. ATRIUM might be more expensive than other marketing companies, but they support their cost by providing a whole package. They look at projects from every angle and work on the technical side of things as well; they're experts in the technical SEO field.

Secondly, don't be afraid to use their knowledge. ATRIUM is very good at what they do, so consider using their services to improve your project and results. Although you might have an idea of what you're looking for, take advantage of their expertise in the digital marketing space. What you think you might want might not actually get you the results you expect.

It had been four years since we had started our company, so we decided to redo our website and some of its messaging. Our goal was to increase brand awareness.

What was the scope of their involvement?

ATRIUM has helped us redo our website. they've basically refreshed our site, keeping pretty much everything it had before but giving it a fresh look. Initially, we had a Zoom meeting to talk about the project, and ATRIUM shared all the services they offered regarding digital marketing. I was intrigued about those services, so I went back to my team, and we discussed it. Ultimately, we decided to go further than just the website and hire them for SMM and SEO.

Now, ATRIUM provides us with SMM on Meta for both Instagram and Facebook. The team is also in charge of our SEO and content creation, and we recently hired them to help us with online advertising as well. Throughout the project, we've worked very closely together on things like keyword research; we've had several meetings.

We've spent around $4,500 CAD per month (approximately $3,300 USD). However, the fee will increase to $6,000 CAD (approximately $4,400 USD) with the online advertising work.

We started working together around November 2023, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

ATRIUM has made our site more accessible and easier to navigate as users make purchases. They've also implemented a more organized layout, changed the colors, and made it more fun and vibrant.

As for quantitative results, we recently had our quarterly review, and we noticed that the traffic doubled from the first to the second quarter we worked together. As for website engagement, our website had 14,000 page views last quarter, and we're now at 54,000 views.

We've also seen an increase in our Google rankings. For example, our organic search has increased by 96% compared to last quarter. In addition to that, our Instagram followers have increased a lot. We've definitely been seen by more users. Still, our business is seasonal, and our season will start in May 2024.

Overall, ATRIUM's work has been very effective, and they've exceeded our expectations. They're very willing to do a lot of research and engage with us before we post anything on our website. Their research is very thorough and well-laid out, and the team is very astute in trying to get our voice reflected in all the projects they work on.

We're very happy with ATRIUM's project management. They're always on time or early, and everything is very organized. Moreover, they communicate well with us. We use Google Docs to share documents and email to share information. We also communicate via phone calls, but most of our conversations for content reviews are via Zoom.

I would like to give a shout-out to Leane. Although the whole team has been great, she has been the groundworker.

What did you find most impressive about them?

ATRIUM has done everything very well. They have teams for different things, which is a big strength of theirs because they have professionals in social media, SEO, and website development. In all of those three areas, ATRIUM is surpassing our expectations. They're very strong in those areas, so I assume that, when we start doing online advertising, they'll be as strong.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There's nothing ATRIUM could improve on. Of course, we initially had to learn and overcome hiccups, but they're now doing pretty well.

Be patient and work along on any hiccups that might come. It takes time for people to learn new products, but ATRIUM has a great team. Our main idea is to raise our profile on Google, so Atrium Digital has been helping us with Google Ads for at least 90 days. Still, any blogs Atrium Digital writes are also on our social media profiles.

We found them online, amongst a lot of other of their competitors. We then had a phone interview with Atrium Digital, and we also did an in-person interview with them.

As for why we chose them, we promote that we’re locally owned and operated, and we found out that Atrium Digital is also locally owned and operated, so we had a lot of synergy between our companies. Moreover, we didn’t feel like they were trying to get a sale; they were trying to develop a relationship with us, which is what we do with our clients as well.

Although we’re just starting with our SEO efforts, our advertising efforts are already achieving good results. We’ve seen an uptick in calls of around 25% and closed two or three large deals coming from our Google Ads. Additionally, we’ve seen a noticeable increase in website traffic of at least 50%.

How did Atrium Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve given Atrium Digital a budget of what they can spend, and they’ve always stayed within it. All of our communication with them is online. We work together via an almost-weekly Zoom call to touch base, during which they constantly ask for our input. The close collaboration between us has been very eye-opening.

In addition to Zoom and email, Atrium Digital has a Databox online dashboard for project management. We can access this dashboard to see the performance of our ads. There’s also a second dashboard for our SEO work.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Atrium provides us with search marketing and advertising programs. First, we met to discuss what specific things we wanted for our business, our goals, and our business specifications. In construction, there are many routes, so we had to be specific about what we do and don't do, and the team also did a lot of research on their own.

They develop search marketing content for us, including blog posts. We give them a broad scope of what, and they create the content. We're part of the editing process, so we give them feedback on the content they produce, and then they publish it for us. They've changed our website's platform so they can upload content. Atrium posts on our website and our landing pages and then broadcasts that content to our LinkedIn. 

We revise their results quarterly and adjust our strategy based on what worked or didn't and what we want to see in the next quarter.

We mainly deal with Jordan (Principal) for reports; he manages the project with us. Seanna (Program Coordinator) helps with the team's connection, and we also work with someone who helps with anything to do with our website. Additionally, we work with a content writer and someone who handles online advertising.

A friend of a  friend works for Atrium, and he referred us to them. We had a conversation about what they could offer us, and we liked their team. Moreover, we appreciated the layout they showed us of what they could do for us, so we decided to work with them. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Every quarter, Atrium shows how many leads we’ve gotten from paid advertising, plus the organic and non-organic traffic numbers. They also show us a comparison of the previous month and their estimated projections. Since it’s only been less than six months, I can’t really tell how successful the engagement is. However, from our perspective, it’s good so far We’ve gotten genuine leads and many more phone calls, so we’re happy with where we are. I’ll be able to give more definitive success metrics a year into the work. 

How did Atrium Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

They do very well with project management. We enjoy working with them because all their team members have fantastic communication skills. We find it easy to contact whoever we need from the team and get fast responses from them. I appreciate their structure and organization; I know who I need to talk to depending on what I want. Overall, their communication is quick, easy, and fast.

We have a quarterly meeting to review how the past quarter went and the results for both programs. The team also lets us know how much content will be published monthly. They use HubSpot to plan our meetings. We use GatherContent to keep track of their work; they send me a notification that something is ready to review, and I can review, approve, or edit it. The platform also notifies me when the content is posted. As for communication, we typically use email, though they also call me when they have quick questions.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Atrium’s biggest strength is their communication. We really appreciate that there’s always someone to communicate with, who answers if we have any questions. They never leave us in the dark about anything – they’re very transparent. The team is also very patient with our questions. Since we’re not in the digital marketing world, sometimes terminology is challenging, and they’re very good at explaining things in a way that makes it easy for us to understand what they’re doing. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Even though we have nothing to compare them to because we’ve never worked with another digital marketing agency, our experience so far has been nothing but good. When we give them feedback about the ads, they change things immediately. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear with your goal, and go into the project knowing what you want to achieve. If you’re not an expert in the field, trust Atrium because they’ll care for you very well. Although we know it’s hard to do that because it’s a big investment, the team is very reassuring and has great communication.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The metrics are the increased visitors to our page and referrals to our business. We have an online submission form — if someone wants to inquire about our services, they complete it. We’ve seen a significant increase in traffic to our site, and people are actually filling in the submission form, leading to new clients. 

Moreover, we find their team incredibly responsive. They do high-quality work, and we’ve seen a significant difference since changing providers. Overall, they’re really professional and knowledgeable.

How did Atrium Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is excellent. Everything is well organized, so we know exactly what to expect each quarter and what documents we’ll receive and review. Also, everything is clearly laid out, and they track the progress towards the goals that we identified in the last quarter. We use Zoom to work together.

What did you find most impressive about them?

One big differentiator is the amount of analysis they do. Each quarter is far more in-depth than our previous service providers. Also, their communications team comes together to review their quarterly analysis, so we have the founders, analysts, and administrators right here. The program is built on teamwork, so everyone gets involved. Therefore, they have a great understanding of our business and the goals we’re trying to achieve.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes we have to go in and make modifications to the written content. Overall, their service is excellent, but that’s the only part of the business where we have to spend more time on feedback.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d highly recommend them. You’ll be really impressed with their professionalism and team experience. Moreover, after working with them for 18 months, the results definitely speak for themselves.
