Scope of work was to do full frontend and backend development of a platform which can be used by workers in low network area to communicate with their team in case of emergency. Also to thoroughly test all of it by a Senior QA. The key deliverables included a fully functional platform which could also properly communicate with the hardwares and satellite and send emergency messages.

A lot of testing of the different funcltionalities of the apps using dummy content on the vendor's server at each milestone. High level milestones including the completion of the following stages.

There were regular /recurring catch ups scheduled to go over progress and any pending issues and delivery of milestones was always on time. The project manager on the job, Nancy Dhruv, was an an instrumental conduit throughout the process between the development team and myself, she was always happy to offer workable solutions and could explain concepts in a way that a non technical personal could understand. It also helped that my needs were well understood before hand and the vendor had experience on developing similar platforms in the past.

These services include, but are not limited to, the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of the specified software application(s). Prior to the commencement of development, the Service Provider will conduct thorough research to identify the most suitable tools, infrastructure, and architectural frameworks necessary for the successful completion of the project. This will include: Evaluating various development tools and technologies to determine those that best align with the project’s requirements and goals. Assessing different infrastructure options, considering factors such as scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Designing an optimal software architecture that ensures robustness, maintainability, and future scalability of the application. Any services or tasks that fall outside the original scope as described in the project scope document will require a separate agreement or an amendment to this SLA. This includes additional features, modifications, or enhancements not initially specified. The Service Provider is responsible for keeping the Client informed about the progress of the project, including any findings or decisions related to the selection of tools, infrastructure, and architecture. Ways of Working Scope Submission: Marking.ai will provide Albiorix Technology Pvt. Ltd with a comprehensive and detailed project scope for each sprint. This item will outline all necessary requirements, specifications, and expectations for a sprint. Scope Review and Estimation: Upon receipt of the project scope, Albiorix Technology Pvt. Ltd will conduct a thorough review and subsequently provide an estimation of the time required for completion, along with a detailed monetary quote for the entire project. A time breakdown report should be provided to Marking.ai prior to agreeing on the time and cost estimate, as outline in Section 7. Agreement and Initial Payment: Marking.ai agrees to the time and cost estimates provided by Albiorix Technology Pvt. Ltd. Following this agreement, Marking.ai will remit an upfront payment amounting to the specified fee in the payment terms. Project Execution and Delivery: Albiorix Technology Pvt. Ltd commits to completing the outlined work within the agreed-upon time frame. It is understood that Marking.ai is not liable for any additional costs incurred due to the service provider exceeding the original time estimate. Quality Assurance Review: Upon delivery, Marking.ai will evaluate the completed work against a pre-agreed quality assurance framework. Work was scoped in an Agile way that meant we sent user stories and acceptance criteria which were estimated by the service provider. Once both parties agreedon the estimation, the work was delivered. The main metric for success was the successful development of each acceptance criteria item, as measured by our internal team. Once all accpetance criteria was passed, that marked the end of the sprint's work.

Albiorix was fantastic at delivering the project in a timely and accurate manner. They were extremely responsive holding daily standup's with our team answering all of our questions and catering to any changes or variations in our project as we started to build it out. With this being a 4 month+ project so far, they have adapted well to some of the iterations that we've made on the fly and have been pretty accurate in their forecasting for the project length and detail.

Their understanding of what we were trying to do was impressive. If you aren't in the sports industry or you don't watch sports actively it can be hard to understand all of the immense amount of data that comes in, they grasped all of this very well and took initiative in doing so.

Additionally with this touching on aspects of sports wagering they jumped right in and gained understanding in the basics of sports betting, which again is not an easy thing to do especially if you have never wagered on sports before. I found the above very impressive compared to other companies that we have worked with in the past.

I think Albiorix did a fantastic job gaining understanding of what we were trying to accomplish and delivering on that. I think sometimes as a developer you can get in the mindset of thinking that you can build everything all the time, which effected our overall timeline a bit. If there were any things that I would do differently it would be to push back against some of our product ideas or features and sticking to the overall timeline a bit more.

They were engaged by us for a short-term project, but because of their professionalism and outstanding performance during our initial engagement, we extended our contract with them for a number of years. Initially, they focused mostly on front-end and mobile apps, but we eventually hired their back-end developers to work in Rails. One of the top Angular & Ionic teams exists there. Their knowledge, code standards, and reaction times were all outstanding. Our communication and cooperation were excellent. They participated in practically all of our squads and frequently offer input to help us improve our platform.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Knowing that the work is given to a hand picked employee of a programming firm was a deciding factor.

We had every morning (EST) a call on Google meets to discuss the days work. I shared my screen with Anydesk and pulled in the changes using TortioseGit from Github and then tested the code. If there were issues then I posted a bug or task onto Trello. Then we would discuss further tasks and I would post those as well. We communicated on slack when we weren't on calls.

i worked with two people, one worked on structuring the database and writing the code while the other also wrote code but also tested and debugged.

I received amazing feedback from my company after giving a training session about the program. The program was going to save an immeasurable amount of time as well as bringing the company onto the next level.
