My husband and I are owners of Campbell’s Auto Sport in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Instaboost Media?

We needed help with digital marketing. Google is overwhelmingly what people use to search, so we needed to make sure that we are showing up and are highlighting our cars.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They have been helping us manage everything related to Google, such as our listings, reviews, replies, highlighting cars, and other things. They have also been helping us with SEO. We worked on that early, going over everything on our website and the right keywords to pick. We talk about it from time to time and tweak it as needed.

What is the team composition?

I just work with one person. I am not sure if she has other people helping her.

How did you come to work with Instaboost Media?

It has been years, and I think they might have just called us. They offered a range of services. Right in the beginning, we had a sales guy and told me everything that they could do for us.

How much have you invested in them?

We spend under $200 a month. I think it did go up at one point, but I can’t remember when. Truthfully, at this point, I finally feel it is worth it. We were close to cutting it out because we didn’t know what it was doing and if it was helping at all.

What is the status of this engagement?

It has been about 4–5 years.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I can now see that it is helping. It is one of the few things where I can actually see that correlation out there in the world of car marketing and advertising.

When I work with our rep and we pick some cars to highlight for a two-week period, we actually do see that all of a sudden, a number of those cars are sold. We haven’t seen that impact from other ad models.

We are getting smaller and smaller because we are getting closer to retirement age and needed to downsize due to COVID-19. We are only going to put our money where we feel it is worth it; there is definitely value to using Instaboost Media.

How did Instaboost Media perform from a project management standpoint?

For the first few years, we had little contact with them. I had to hope and trust that they were doing what they said they were going to do. Ever since we got our new rep, things have been highly organized. We message, call, and email and there is very good communication which I need because I am not great at follow up and she holds my feet to the fire on that.

We set up a next contact day and time roughly every two weeks. I wouldn’t say it is a deadline and more of a meeting via phone or an email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

For the first time, I can say that I truly believe in their work. She knows where we are and that we’re trying to lower our expenses. She is doing everything very well and right for us.

The big thing is communication and contact. In the past, other partners sent out a guy to go over things once a month. At first, the only problem with Instaboost Media was that we weren’t receiving emails, calls, or anything. We had to guess whether their work was helping or not. Now, Instaboost Media ensures that we know how things are going.

Are there any areas they could improve?

If you would have called me before we had our new rep, I would have said it would be nice if they could tell me exactly what they do, but now things are very good. She is very clear on our goals.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you get a good rep, trust they know what they are doing. I feel for the first time something that we are actually using in the marketing realm out there, I can actually see those correlated sales. Just take their advice for the most part and unless you feel you know more than they do, which I don’t, let them do what they do.
