I was employed as the Digital Marketing Co-ordinator for STV International Ltd, a leading manufacturer of DIY pest control products that is home to the household brand for rodent control, The Big Cheese.

We'd entered into an arrangement with another web developer at the start of 2019 to launch the website in September 2019. At the start of 2020, we still had no website that was suitable for launch after facing poor communication and delays with the current company.
Our website hadn't been refreshed for many years and was incredibly out of date, offering poor user experience that had broken functionality. The project needed to be turned around quickly, particularly with the pandemic looming and online/digital presence becoming more important than ever.
How did you select 2buy1click Ltd and what were the deciding factors?
2B1C came with strong recommendations from our new MD who had used their services in the past.

2B1C had to take over a web project mid-development, facing another company's work, and seamlessly understand where the website was already at and what was needed to get it finished. They picked up the Magento site, checking the add-ons and available versions, getting the core platform to where it needed to be to still be up-to-date.
They helped us understand the minimum product that was deliverable to get us past the line and then continued to work with us to build on the platform after launch, building up to develop the basket functionality and checkout process. Along the way they introduced us to add-ons that would make controlling and updating the website easier for us to do in-house, as with a lot of products on our books, we need to have the ability to update at a seconds notice.

Sanya was our main point of contact for high-level project discussions and deciding goals. There was then two or three web developers working on the site at any time. Masha joined the project about halfway through and it was like she'd always been working on the project; there were no issues at all - couldn't have asked for an easier changeover.

The team worked really hard to understand what we wanted them to deliver, picking up a difficult project, and achieved a successful launch. The ecommerce development is still ongoing.

We had weekly video calls via Zoom with Sanya which sometimes also included key members of the development team when there were specific points to discuss. It was extremely useful having calls at the same time every week as it helped with planning and strategy. 2B1C have their own integrated video call booking system which made it easy to see when team members were available for calls. They also effectively utilize a ticketing system that allows for cross-company insight and annotation into ongoing development work.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The company is incredibly driven to achieve positive and successful results and has worked to help us understand and define the end goals, keeping us on track at all times to avoid deviation or loss of time.

To summarise, we hired 2buy1click during peak season in 2018 to repair our failing Magento 2 website, migrate to a more capable server and to optimise the front end for better user experience. The actual project was multi-faceted, and included an equal amount of back end work (for improved stability, and to undo poor coding on the part of our previous agency) as well as front end work, checkout problems, and fixing various bugs.

Ultimately, to improve customer experience and convert more traffic.

2buy1click reached out to us, and upon reviewing their practices and learning that they are a technically gifted company with a development/coding slant, it was clear that they had the expertise to address all of the technical problems we were facing at the time.

We (Lil Packaging) migrated our failing Magento 2 website over to 2buy1click back in November of 2018, this was after making the decision to leave our previous agency who weren't performing up to standard. Within the 2 week on-boarding phase their talented team assisted in not only seamlessly migrating the website to a much more capable server, but they also managed to fix all major bugs, and improve stability.
I had been working closely with them for several months and I am happy to report that their level of service, responsiveness to bug fixes (albeit then very minor and few and far between) and their knowledge of Magento continued to impress. Their policies on core updates and extensions, maintaining a well managed development site for testing, and working on and pushing changes to production outside of peak hours, have ensured that our customers receive a consistent service with zero down time.

I’m a marketing manager for a lock and security wholesaler.
What challenge were you trying to address with 2buy1click Ltd?
We were in the middle of an e-commerce build with another developer that had been going on for over two years. 2buy1click Ltd was brought on to take us over line and fix bugs and issues. They did an excellent job.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I’m not sure what technology they used, but they have a team of developers across Europe with different skillsets. They assigned one developer to us who had problem-solving skills and could fix the code. All their people come from a telecoms and engineering background and are knowledgeable about functionality. They know how to make things work smoothly.
During one instance when the website went down, due to issues with code from the previous developer, they jumped on it right away. The site was back up in ten minutes, whereas, with the previous vendor, it would have involved lots of paperwork and documentation and extra payment.

It wasn't an out of the box system we needed so they designed and developed the programme, constantly being bombarded by us with different new ideas and problems to solve to ensure the webshop looked and worked the way we needed it to. They took our existing webshop and brought it in to the 21st century with new features including tiered pricing, one main shop broken down in to many smaller shops and delivery to different locations.

We have dealt with this company for many years but the team composition has always been flawless. We have a main team leader but behind him is a team that excel in different fields. We dont need to worry ourselves about who to contact as via one email address we propose our project and they then allocate it to the person that can best answer and work through the question.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
We have had a relationship with them for many, many years now and we feel that they have grown as a company along side us, helping us to be constantly one step ahead of the competition. Our online business has more than doubled with their help and they even developed technology that allowed us to take our business outside of our premises in order to sell to parents within the school premises. They have also developed a stock system that three years ago didn't even seem possible and now allows us to control and report on our stock at the touch of a button.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
During new projects we would hold an initial meeting and set down deadlines and who by, all of these were complied with and very often improved on. They introduced us to Google docs to allow us to keep a track of our monthly budget, set up online training so that we were able to follow simple steps to allow us to carry out alot of the work ourselves in house. They also set up zoom which meant we were able to have three way online meetings which meant everyone didnt have to be in the same room at the same time to move projects on.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
As we all know with technology its great when it works but when it goes down it can bring the company to its news. 2buy1click always know before us if there is a problem and are already working on solving it. August is our busiest time in the lead up to back to school so it is imperative that any problems are dealt with quickly and efficiently when a problem occurs and this is certainly always the case.

I’m the managing director at Look Fabulous Forever, an e-commerce beauty brand.
What challenge were you trying to address with 2buy1click Ltd?
We were unhappy with the developer we were working with. Our site was on a platform called OpenCart and we had lots of technical issues, glitches, and crashes. It was really badly built, and we needed a change.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They suggested we move to Magento and then rebuilt the site on that platform. We’ve since gone through two upgrades and now have a pretty stable website.
