I’ve never created digital products before, so what’s most impressive to me is that they help me understand how everything works. They’ve also delivered on their initial promises.

The website is 95% complete. The German and English versions are complete, but the Polish version is still underway. I’ve received feedback that the website looks good and I’m happy with it.

How did VSTORM Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very polite and are a young team; I’m pleased with them. The communication is a nine out of 10, and we use email and phone, as well as Slack. The project manager is a well-spoken, eloquent guy, and they leave me nothing to complain about.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have modern ideas, which impresses me. They came up with a way to make my shop stand out from others.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could charge less and speed up their process. When changes are required to any content on the website, it takes time to change the code. Overall, I’m happy, but they could work a little quicker. However, I didn’t push them to finish as quick as possible, because it could affect the quality.

Call them and have a real conversation to get to know the people working there. It’s best to hear their voice rather than to rely on written communication.

The project is for a security company that provides phishing and ransomware protection to businesses. Its aim is to develop a dashboard that provides the ability to gain visibility to their clients. It will showcase the protection that Guardian Digital, Inc. provides to their users.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Only partial effort was completed. Vendor left many core requirements incomplete.

There was not a single attribute of this ordeal that I would consider a success in any way. There is nothing that could even remotely be interpreted as a success.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Not only did the CEO fire our first project manager, the second had absolutely no technical experience, so he was never able to actually follow any of our conversations. Then, when the project slipped beyond their deadline and our fixed-price contract before it was actually complete, the second project manager (who is also their CTO) left.

They never replaced him, and for virtually a year, the project was managed by their technical lead who spoke very little English, didn't always report to the meetings, and never answered questions about deliverables and timelines.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are uniquely unqualified for any business to engage in any project with them. The team lacks the most basic amount of integrity to steer the project to a conclusion and doesn't have the character and integrity necessary to deal with difficult challenges.
They clearly took on a project they knew nothing about, and instead of just admitting that, they were free to take my money and let the project languish instead of making the hard decisions on how to resolve it.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Vstorm could have done differently?

Yes, admitted they got involved with a project they could not complete, and either refunded my money or brought on the resources necessary to complete the project. He also could have at least admitted some amount of responsibility for the challenges we faced instead of blaming his developer.
