We provided the contractor with two typical floor plans for two multi-family buildings and asked them to turn these into virtual tours. It was important to us that these be true virtual tours, not just jumping between fixed points in 360° photo panoramas. Movement inside the tours needed to be smooth and lifelike, similar to what you’d expect in a modern video game.

The only materials we supplied were the PDF floor plans and a location on the map where the development will be built. It was also critical that the virtual tours work on any device, be easy to embed on our website, and not require any additional hardware or software to view.

The VRNET.IO team completed the work in just two weeks. In a very short timeframe, we received 43 individual virtual tours, one for each apartment in the community.

It’s difficult to find areas for improvement in the current workflow as it’s very well-optimized. Perhaps just continuing to streamline the onboarding process for new clients even more as you scale. A critical specification was maintaining consistency with the design intent shown in our architectural renders, ensuring the virtual tours accurately reflected the approved interior design and finish palette.

Technical Integration: The tours can be embedded via shareable links, and we integrated them as iframes on our website and Estonia’s largest real estate marketplace platform.

We provided typical floor plans, and based on them it was necessary to create virtual tours for all apartments. We also provided the master plan of the residential complex and a 3D model of this complex. The model had to be converted into a virtual tour that would load quickly on the website and on any devices, even with mobile internet. As a result, we received links to virtual tours that we could easily and quickly embed on our website.

To create VR tours for apartments, it was enough to provide a link to the residential complex website with floor plans or a floor plan in PDF. We did not need to spend much time on coordination or preparation.
