I wanted to improve my website functionality, new customised page options and add custom features like engraving options.

Vevol emailed me by chance, and I was looking for a website developer. After having a call with Dan, I felt confident in their services and decided to try the team out.

I had a kick off meeting with the entire team (about 5-6 people) and they asked me a lot of questions and details about the goals I had. We worked through each problem step by step. Then they started drafting the pages for me on Figma. From Figma I was able to directly add my comments in and make changes. These changes were implemented and a preview link was sent so I can do some testing and see if everything was as per expectation. They then did testing on their end and pushed the website live. I was also given a documentation sheet for further guidance on how to operate the new features from the backend on my own.

The main point of contact I had was Alexia (Account Manager) - who was extremely helpful and responsive at all times. There was Bogdan as well who was a tech developer - he assisted on some calls to better understand my needs and how to code them in. Dan (Managing Partner and Head of Business Development) was constantly overseeing everything on the project and was also very helpful.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After launching our site, we noticed people using the new features immediately, I would say almost 80% of people are using the gift wrapping feature. The page speed and loading is a lot better as well. I love the way the new pages look and I found it extremely easy to use and edit. I am really excited to continue to use these features and customise pages and new content so that my website will continue to feel modern and up to date.

I can definitely say the team's communication was spot on. They were extremely quick to make the first round of page designs and delivered the project on time. I would say that perhaps the testing was a bit rushed because we did notice a few bugs after we went live, but they did their best to sort these out as soon as possible - no questions asked.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

As a team, you can tell they care about their client's happiness and will work hard to meet expectations with a lot of patience and support. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I would say the only thing would be to do more thorough testing - some bugs that I spotted were after we went live so it would have been better not to rush this process.

I’m the director of an e-commerce business that supplies red light therapy products, predominantly to Irish markets. Recently, we’ve also entered the European market.

We needed to revamp our website and shift it from WordPress to Shopify. We weren’t happy with our website's general look and functionality; we felt we could improve its performance.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, we got in touch with Vevol Media to migrate our platform to Shopify. They gave us some ideas on how Shopify would help our company. After the first meeting, they came back with a proposal with the timeframes and costs, the steps of the project, and what they would deliver.

They used some copy from the original website but modified it a bit. The design and everything else was made from scratch to make it cleaner and more modern. We migrated to Shopify because it was easier to navigate. Additionally, we integrated some apps.

We worked with five people in total. Dan (Managing Partner & Head of Business Development) was our main point of contact. We also worked with Alexia (Account Manager & E-Commerce Specialist) and had a copywriter, a graphic designer, and a developer.

They found me through cold emailing. Dan initially contacted me via email; he said he’d seen our site and asked if we would consider moving to Shopify. I was considering it at the time, so it was a coincidence.

We started the engagement around July 2022, and the new website went live in August 2022. However, the partnership is still ongoing as we’re still doing some finishing touches.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve been live for only a week, so it’ll take a couple of weeks for Google to index the site. As for quality, the new website’s professional look exceeded our expectations. We’re also very happy with the function; it's exactly as we’d hoped.

Moreover, they customized 1–2 apps regarding bundling and upselling. We were very impressed with it; we anticipate it’ll increase our sales. Also, everything is automated now, so it’ll free up our time on that end.

Everything was within the budget; there was no overspending. From the start, they understood the brief and worked on their own initiative. We gave them indicators of what we were looking for, and communication was excellent at all times. We always got replies to our emails.

We had a few Google Meet calls, but email was our main form of communication.

I’m the founder and general manager of SAVIN'SKIN, a cosmetics retailer. We sell a specific niche of beauty products, including clean beauty products, high-end luxury skincare, makeup, and wellness products.

What challenge were you trying to address with Vevol Media?

Our business functions as an online store, and we launched a website two years ago. Our former platform was PrestaShop, and we had a lot of difficulties with the developers who created the website, which was not functional. 

After facing many issues, we changed to a new provider who collaborated with us for maintenance. This vendor did a complete audit on our site and told us the best way forward was to rebuild our site from scratch, so we brought on Vevol Media.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Vevol Media redeveloped our website from scratch using Shopify 2.0. I had previously chosen a theme, and we listed all our requirements and functionalities for the new site. From there, the team investigated whether the theme would agree with all the functionalities we needed. Once they approved the theme, they started building the site. 

We didn’t do a rebranding, so the new site is quite similar in shape and form to our previous site. Although Vevol Media collaborated with us on specific design elements, they focused on functionality and development. The team custom-created some elements for our new product pages.

One of our requirements was for the site to be in both Romanian and English. Now that they’ve finished the website, we'll move forward into a different collaboration with Vevol Media. 

They’ll assist us whenever we have a problem, be in charge of updates when needed, and provide recommendations to improve. Additionally, they’ll help us if we want to add or modify something regarding UX or if we need custom CSS.

We’ve worked with Alexia (Account Manager & E-Commerce Specialist), who acts as a project manager and handles communication between the developers and us. We had regular meetings with the development team, too, in order to check the progress of our project.

We found Vevol Media on a Facebook community for Romanian Shopify partners, where companies list their services and interact with people, advising them on some issues. I met Dan (Account Manager) there, and we arranged an interview. We also did research and interviewed many other companies. 

Ultimately, Vevol Media stood out from the crowd because they seemed trustworthy and more engaged than others. Moreover, when I sent them our requirements, they came back with solutions and options. The team had researched what they could do before even signing the contract, which we also appreciated.

We started working together in November 2021, and the engagement is ongoing. The site Vevol Media built works, and it looks beautiful — it’s an improved, sleeker site.  Therefore, we expect to see constant growth from now on.

Even though we haven't switched to the new platform yet, we’ve seen an increase in daily users due to the pages the team implemented on our existing site. We already see customers investigating the new pages, so we expect to see constant growth once the site goes live next week.

Most of our communication was through Alexia, using email and Google Meet.  However, we’ve had regular meetings with all the developers because it’s easier to present all the information. Whenever I need a tutorial on how to do something, the team sends me a tutorial, which is really helpful because I can see the process and replicate it. 

Although it’s taken almost six months to develop the site, it wasn’t because of Vevol Media. We’ve had delays on our side in providing tools and content, while they’ve moved quite quickly. 

Having worked with other companies, I see a big difference in how Vevol Media communicates and interacts with us as customers. In my experience, they’re one of the few providers that manage to work with clients beautifully. The team is part of our process; they’re very involved, extremely cooperative, and understand our needs.

For me, a web developer must understand our type of business and our needs and be empathetic, and Vevol Media does all this. They constantly reassure us that they can solve any issue. Having this communication with them makes us feel like partners. They aren’t just a contractor — they’re part of our team.

Although everyone can improve, I can’t pinpoint anything; everything has been okay for us so far.

Good communication is one of the keys to a successful project. So, my advice is to give Vevol Media clear indications because this is where most problems can occur. As long as you list your needs, everything can go excellently.

Vevol Media was recommended to us by another company who've benefited from their expertise and after having our first meeting and seeing their portfolio we knew they're the ones who could provide us with the website we required and the project fitted in our delivery time frame and budget.

We started by setting out the objectives of our business and the goals for our website. After that, we received several mock-ups of the site, we decided on one and the team designed our new Shopify based on that. Custom made contact forms and product pages were incorporated in the website to suit our business.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

When the website was finished, it obtained a 96 out of 100 SEO score for the desktop variant and a 70 score for the mobile version which is even more impressive given how compacted it is and still retaining all the functionalities. After launch, the store was in top 24% Shopify stores launched that same week in terms of traffic.

They sent us periodic updates on the progress being made, all our queries were answered extremely quickly and every new idea or modification we would throw at them was addressed immediately.

They had a unique way of incorporating our ideas of design and functions of the website but still retaining that speed at which the site will load and work.

We cannot think of anything that could have been done better. From start to finish our collaboration with Vevol Media was excellent.

After laying out what we needed, Vevol Media divided the workload into certain streams. First, they worked on our branding. They modernized our logo and repositioned our company in a way that was a lot easier for our target audience to understand.

Then, Vevol Media customized our website using WordPress. They created backlinks to direct people to our product demos, made online sign-up forms for our training programs, and added a blog section that allowed us to create content and share it on our social media platforms. They also integrated a payment gateway to ensure easier transactions.

Our website is now among the top 5% of popular marketplace sites. I am very happy with Vevol Media, and I don’t intend to change providers. They know what they are doing, and it is very easy to communicate with them. The fact that they’re also Romanian is a big help as well.

They’re able to meet all of the deadlines and stay within my budget. Sometimes, they even finish earlier than planned. 

We communicate via email, and the marketing person sends me monthly reports detailing the impact of our advertising. They also update me weekly on the progress of the website and of the new project that we are working on. They are very responsive.

We were looking to move from Shopify 2 to the Odoo ERP, which would then be integrated into our website.

Vevol Media developed our landing page and e-commerce website. We gave them the designs, content, and requirements and they mainly focused on the coding aspect — the e-commerce website was built using Odoo with minimal custom coding.

Additionally, they connected the website to Google, Facebook, and Twitter.

I found them on a Facebook group, and I first worked with them when I still had my old website on Shopify. I made it myself, and Vevol helped me fix some issues and apply some finishing touches.

The first discussion on this project was in June 2021, and they completed the landing page in August. The e-commerce website was done in September 2021 and they’re currently handling the site’s maintenance.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve just launched campaigns on Google and Facebook, and we’re just starting to see how it’s working. We won’t know the site’s effectiveness until we receive more orders and so far, we’ve gotten around 20–30.

Furthermore, we’re getting very good impressions on the landing page and the e-commerce site — it’s one of the best-looking websites in our market.

They’re doing well, and they even went above the budget specified in the contract. We’re mainly using WhatsApp, Google Meet, and email to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with Vevol’s involvement in the project. They were willing to do a project that was new and not very easy for them. They learned about the industry and delivered their tasks in a short time — which was important for me. I like that they provided us with a cost-effective solution as well.

I don’t know what they could improve on. The communication was good and they didn’t overcharge me.

Vevol Media is a fully trusted company, and they’re very dedicated. My advice is to explain what your goals are from the beginning, so they can adapt to your needs as a customer. It’s also important to be specific about what you want.
