Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Managing Director and Co-Founder of Ongen, a software as a service (Saas) platform provider. We specialise in energy efficiency, onsite renewable energy feasibility and renewable energy supply contracts. We make it as easy as possible for energy consumers to make the right decisions to become carbon neutral.

For what projects/services did your company hire Veksa Ltd, and what were your goals?

We hired Veksa to build our website to both update and reflect the different offerings of our business. The project had been delayed and we needed the website built and launched to coincide with the start of Cop ’26. The deadline was extremely tight and the team worked non-stop to achieve this goal.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I have worked with Jonathan, the MD previously. I trusted his endorsement of the Veksa team as a whole and was impressed by their previous work and technical expertise. I also thought they were excellent value for money.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We came to Veksa with the website design and content. The website was built on Wordpress with a lot of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) involved. The website was complex in terms of design, so the team had to custom code many of the sections. The blog page was completely redesigned. The team also implemented the initial SEO for the website. The key deliverable was to ensure the website was built, tested & launched by the start of Cop 26. A very tight deadline of around 2 weeks, which they achieved.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked with 3 members of the team, including the project manager, account manager and operations manager.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The Veksa team had a very short time-scale to finish the project and they worked extremely hard to ensure this was achieved. The website is now up to date with an improved user experience and this has been reflected in both feedback and traffic to our site.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The team were always in touch with updates and responded quickly to any queries. Regular updates with the whole team and webdesigner, ensured the project stayed on track. They worked above and beyond to complete the project on time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were impressed with their extensive and in-depth technical expertise. The scope of the company with regards software and digital marketing. Also, their value for money. It is hard to beat with regards to their cost vs technical expertise. Also, they are scalable and flexible, which meant they could call in extra resource to complete the project on time.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not really. Pleased with the project outcome and could not recommend them highly enough.

I hired Veksa to develop and host my new website.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I was working on a client's website and they introduced me to Veksa. We worked together on my client's website. I provided the design and content and Veksa developed and hosted the site. The relationship worked very well and the end result was great. So, when I came to creating a new website for my company, I decided to work with Veksa again.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

I selected a Wordpress template that I ran past Veksa. I then redesigned the template to fit Brand Satellite's branding and designed the page templates I wanted. I supplied Veksa with the page designs, content and brief. We had a pre-production meeting and they then started building the website. Veksa kept me in the loop throughout the build, with regular progress meetings. Once the site was built, they tested the site, hosted the site and completed the initial SEO.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I am not sure how many people were involved with the build. I regularly met with three members of the team to ensure the build went smoothly, but I know there were other members of their team involved in the background.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The website has only just gone live, so there are no measurable stats to compare with yet. But the feedback on the website has been phenomenally positive. I am happy, my clients have been impressed and the comments I have got on LinkedIn, where I have been promoting the new website have been great.

As I have mentioned earlier, it was great to be kept updated at every stage. I was continually asked for feedback and comments to make sure I was happy throughout the process. The project was delivered on time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What was most impressive was that nothing was impossible. I have worked with other web developers where I would come up with "that is not possible", which I think was more to do with their capabilities rater than what I was asking for. No such problem with Veksa.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

All minor bugs were sorted out before going live. So, I could launch with confidence. There have been no issues since the launch. The website looks fantastic! Thank you guys!
