I was launching my campaign for county council and needed support in updating and refreshing my website as well as driving digital marking and all aspects of this. The goal was:

1. Drive engagement with citizens within the county;
2. Increase my presence and communication using various media.
3. Increase and improve my standing in search engine results when querying on key words.
4. Drive content to users through push using specific voter demographics.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

My selection decisions were driven off the following:

1. Reputation within the political community.
2. Engagement of team during initial interactions.
3. Design and brand management and ability to enhance upon existing product.

I had an initial review of vendors with the capacity and ability to complete the various pieces of work. I initial started with SEO Werkz for some initial web design and management, along with content optimization. After running through and using another vendor for both data, email and communication channels, and digital branding in the convention phase I realize that the vendor was not able to deliver on what was expected resulting in multiple failure among many domains.

I reached out to SEOWerkz and expanded my scope of service to pick up all pieces of the digital front of my campaign and I am glad I did. Areas where I ran into road blocks they were eliminated by Paul and team at SEOWerkz. They also helped me stretch my dollars in digital advertising with proper targeting and management. During the campaing we were able to create at least 3 points of contact with each customer and have a "meaningful impact" with 70% of the targeted population.

Ads were run across multiple apps and social media platforms with google ads driving content. In Google Search and other web engines my content was in the top 3 results when searching Salt Lake County and I was number 1 when searching Salt Lake County Council District 5.

I have multiple resources work with me. I had at least 6 team members that I can name plus many others. Titles of those that assisted me include the CEO, Client Success Manager, Director of Web Development, Director of Sales, and the Content Manager.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The team were amazing. As I noted above I saw my position and recognition in the digital space increase putting me forward in each area. The helped drive donations for my campaign through development of the site and with SEO work done that drove on key areas of interest in this race. I place my winning this campaign with a significant margin on the efforts of SEOWerkz resulting in be beating the incumbent with just under 57%.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was great. The team is responsive to requests and is able to clearly define and communicate limitations. As we worked through updates the team would provide feedback that supported the best experience for the user and also helped drive content that was appealing and encouraged voters to dig further.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The company definetly drove a good portion of this campaign and what I did. In the beginning I was feeling that I needed a campaign manager, but with SEOWerkz I felt like I had my own marketing team driving information to me and helping to build and develop content from information I had shared with them. I didn't end up using a campaign manager and I was able to manage my calendar knowing that this team was taking care of everything in the background that was driving my campaign.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I don't know that I could have had them do anything differently. The one thing that I think I would have wanted to explore more is if they also worked with direct mail and those pieces. This was the one area that I didn't end up even exploring with them that maybe I should have because it would have simplified my entire campaign brand and approach.

We selected SEO Werks because of there team. Especially Mark Roweton. He is on top of everything. He has answers to all of our questions. If he doesn’t he learns about it and gives us the feedback we need. He is the reason for a lot of our success with SEO Werks.

Our scope of work was to create the best website. They first brought in there team and discussed our goals and gave us great feedback. There were 3 staff members and all 3 of them were great to work with. Another scope of work was to work with Mark on getting our SEO going. Mark came in listened to our goals and ideas and he took the reins and delivered.

Since adding our SEO our over traffic into our retail store increased by quite a bit. We were averaging 1-2 customers a day. Now we average 3-4 customers a day. We believe SEO was a huge part of that success.

They have been great in communicating with us. Much better then we have with them haha. They communicated with us thru Email, Phone Calls, Texts and In Person.

I was impressed with there knowledge of everything! They had answers to all of our questions and concerns. They have great attitudes and always smiling. I know that sounds weird but that’s something that stood out about this team!

After getting to know the owner of the company we knew we could trust them to give us a quality product and service that would benefit our company for a very long time.

We talked with the owner about content, services, and other valuable information we felt would benefit our customers and future customers for the website. We did a trial run with a contest for an online website.

Designers put their ideas together, and I was able to monitor, give feedback, and ultimately choose a design I liked. SEO werkz then took that design, modified it for optimization, and then let me review the final product.

The owner, a manager, and team member. There was also a developing team, but I never interacted with them.

Their organization and communication on everything are impressive. We knew where the progress was every step of the waym

It felt like the team member I worked with only communicated through email. I sent messages, but never received a responses. As a busy contractor I could only check emails during lunch (if I was able to take one) or in the mornings and evening after work.

I researched many different companies but what stuck out to me about SEO Werkz was the flexibility in options, the services, and the customer service, all for a fair price.

So far I have mostly worked with only about 3 people at SEO Werkz. 2 were account management type positions and one was a content creator.

Since working with SEO Werkz we have seen our ranking improve and stay at the top of google search allowing our customer base to continue to grow and for our business to expand.

Communication has always been fantastic. They were always quick to respond to questions and changes and had a solutions-based approach to the project. Moreover, they were always clear about expectations and timelines.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I think the attention to their customers and customer service has been fantastic! That has always stuck out to me.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think that the content created for various businesses could be a little more tailored to that business. We are a therapeutic massage clinic focusing on pain but sometimes the content for website posts seems a little more general and less tailored to our specific brand. I don't think the content writer fully understands the specifics of our business. Great content overall nonetheless.

We wanted to take advantage of today’s advertising and marketing processes, and we needed someone familiar with it who could give us a leg up in that realm.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SEO Werkz does SEO for us; they started by walking us through their different services that we could take advantage of. After that, we explained to them our business and our demographic, and they implemented everything in a way that our company could have the best chance of success. They’ve also done keyword research for us.

In addition to that, they’ve also done web development for us; they used our previous website's infrastructure to modernize it by developing a clearer, more concise, and streamlined version of it.

We work directly with Mark(Senior Partnership Manager) and Dave (Senior Account Executive).

How did you come to work with SEO Werkz?

Our IT company referred them to us. We chose them because they were transparent, explained how things work, and told us how they could get involved to address our areas of opportunity.

We’ve invested around $50,000 with them so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2015, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They provide monthly reports on SEO, which shows our website traffic and clicks on our request-to-quote links, and by looking at them, I can say everything is worthwhile. Overall, their work is phenomenal; they’re straightforward, understand our needs, and work hard to ensure they meet them.

How did SEO Werkz perform from a project management standpoint?

They have a talented team, and if someone is not capable of solving a problem for us, they always have somebody that can come in and help. Regarding tools, we use email and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their customer service is phenomenal, which distinguishes them from other providers.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on — we’ve had a top-notch experience working with them.

We blew our monthly lead goals away. Our PPC campaigns delivered almost double the leads compared to our initial goals.

Communication was done mostly via email or virtual calls. I received a monthly reporting dashboard with all my key metrics and data.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The level of knowledge and expertise. They have some of the best PPC and SEO brains around. I even joked that I had access to the "PPC Whisperer" because they were so good.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Some of the blog posts (while written for great SEO) didn't totally align with some of the services we offered. Nothing major, easily fixed.

Our original website was developed in 2012, the previous company that developed the site never completed the site. It was incomplete, dilapidated, and did not rank well on Google. It was also Non Mobile user friendly. Quite honestly I was embarrassed to have people look at it.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I had been looking for a develop company for awhile, I was approached by a sales member from SEO Werkz, that told what they were capable of for our web site and SEO. I am completely satisfied!

SEO Werkz set up multiple meetings to get exactly the message I wanted to convey with my online presence. The first meeting was basically information gathering, by the second meeting we were already going over example pages of the site and content. By the second appointment they had fixed all of our listings on the web, address issues, web address issues, phone number issues, etc.. On all platforms. We had a 3rd meeting before we launched to go over content, the great thing about SEO Werkz is that they took the time to gather the content for me, they spent the time and energy to make sure it was relevant and accurate. In 2 months it was doting the i's crossing the t's and we launched.. The have completely changed our online presence.

It seems like we worked with 3 or 4 people including the Rep. But the Sales Rep "Mark" spearheaded the project and saw in complete from start to finish!

I watch our leads thoroughly and within weeks we have been getting new leads from our site and goolge.

Before I get into my own sites, I used to work for a large marking firm that claimed to build sites. Ive never seen a company operate this smooth, from communication, design and build to completion. From last min changes to launch, I could'nt be happier. I have owned several companies and have built 5 sites.. This build was by far the most thorough, pain free and complete site I have ever been involved in.

I was impressed by the accuracy of the content they built for me. Also the time from when I submitted changes to actually delivering the change. Their response to my questions were immediate.

Things can always be improved as markets change, but SEO Workz is on top of there game.

During the start of our partnership, we met with SEO Werkz to discuss our goals and put the project together. They then researched about our competitors and our market. 

After that, they’ve helped us choose the words and phrases that we would use for our website. They are also creating our site’s content to ensure it remains current and updated. Their team regularly sends requests for a new blog or a content update. 

Our account representative gives us a monthly report about our SEO performance. They also ask us if we need any additional help from their team.

We hired a third-party vendor to design and develop our website. SEO Werkz ensures that our links remain working and are not broken despite the ongoing development.

We work primarily with our sales rep, and they have a development team of about 4–5 resources.

SEO Werkz bought the original company we were working with. We’ve stayed with them through the years because they’re very attentive to our needs and goals.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our website traffic and online sales have increased by about 10%–15% every year for the past five years. Since working with SEO Werkz, we’ve ranked first in Google for our local market. They’ve been helpful in promoting our website and web presence. 

How did SEO Werkz perform from a project management standpoint?

SEO Werkz’ reports are very detailed, and I get them on a timely basis. Their project management has been good. They’re responsive when we need them, but I don’t feel like they’re bugging me. I’m very comfortable with our level of communication. 

Whenever I have concerns, I’ll call our account rep, and they’ll direct me to their team. As a company, SEO Werkz is very proactive. They don’t just sit back and collect their check — they keep working for what we pay them every month. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate the value SEO Werkz provides and their ability to be there when I need them. They have integrity — they do what they say they’re going to do. We haven’t fallen short on any of our projects, and they are communicative about issues.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything.

Be open-minded, as SEO Werkz has great suggestions and recommendations. They’re really great to work with. You might come with your own ideas, but be ready to accept that their ideas might be better.

We have been searching a provider/partner we could with to develop a long term content and SEO strategy.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We saw an ad for SEO Werkz and set up a discovery call with Dave Kimball. We also, researched this firm online.

Their concept was to provide onsite, offsite, SEO and a long term strategy concept. Identifying the keywords that we could compete in at a local level. In addition making site enhancement to ensure from a site perspective our website was SEO and search ready.

1 other individual, that handles the marketing with our firm.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Unfortunately, I cannot. They set forth a deliverable strategy. Month 1, Month 2 etc. From the start, the company failed to delivery on most of the milestones they set forth. In fact, most of the time, we received emails from Dave Kimball as to why they failed or apologized. The implementation did not communicate, when they did, it was the wrong keywords, wrong or poorly written content. So our experience of their deliverables at best, is poor.

Communication was an issue from the beginning. In fact, Dave Kimball the sales person had to assume the project manager responsibilities since their normal PM would not communicate. The account manager, did communicate but had nothing to offer, because month 1 and month 2 responsibilities were not his. We simply couldn't move forward because of the lack of accountability, communication, and deliverables.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The sales process. The reason we chose them, as they said we would experience something different. That they could and would handle from beginning to end the process. The sales process set an expectation that the internal team is either unwilling or unable to perform.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

First, if you have a project manager that is customer facing, they have to have people skills. They have to follow-up. They have to engage. We set out early to say we are doing this not for "leads" but as a long term brand strategy. We had the proper mindset. After the first month we were given the opt out, to get a refund.

 However, Dave Kimball the salesperson resold the process and that he would take control. Sadly, second verse was the same as the first. We spent more time in emails, conference, and phone being told or explained why errors happened. Errors will happen, we understand that. That is the nature of every business. This was an error at every point and port.
