It’s still early to evaluate the impact on our KPIs, but we’re very pleased with the outcomes. Our goal was to create a refreshed look, feel, and brand guidelines that align with our Brand DNA, and we’ve successfully achieved that.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

It's too early to say in terms of the uplift of any KPIs, but we are very happy with the results. We wanted a new look and feel that was more important to us than any direct, measurable KPI.

Unikorns were very communicative. When deadlines were in danger of being missed, they always flagged this upfront. Any major delays were due to things on our side, Unikorns kept to their deadlines very fastidiously. They only requested a few extensions, and those were to guarantee high quality in areas of emphasis and were easy to agree to.

Unikorns have a very good template for how they work. It is rigorous and structured and hopefully guarantees a high baseline of quality for them to work from. Engaging in the process is quite a lot of work, but once you give it the time it requires, you definitely see the results.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Unikorns Agency could have done differently?

The stakeholders in our team were not from a branding or creative background, and I think the process was a little overwhelming for them until they understood the full scope of it. 

While Unikorns did a good job up front, through both the sales and onboarding process, of explaining the process and the stages, I think the nature of their process is that it is hard to grasp all the details of it until you are in the thick of it. If we could do it over, we would definitely engage with it differently and see the output of each stage as more 'final' than we had realized.

Creation of a new look and feel design based on new brand strategy and guidelines. The project involved coordination between a 3rd party brand designer, copywriter, and the team at Unikorn. 

Unikorn's scope was to translate the new branding into a look and feel for a corporate website and work the copy provided into the designs. They were to provide Figma low-fi UX wireframes and hi-fi design mock-ups and prep all assets for handover to our internal web development team.

We looked for a design agency on Dribble. We stumbled upon Unikorns portfolio, and we were impressed by the quality of their work, their work methodology and how reassuring the team was in reaching our goals.

Unikorns helped us define the brand image we wanted for Bigblue.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The collaboration between Bigblue and Unikorns was amazing. Vlad helped us set a healthy and efficient rhythm for the feedback loops, the prioritization of the projects and kept us updated on the progress and ETAs daily. And the team was very reactive to our feedback to ensure we were 100% satisfied with the results!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The excellent project management and the talent of the design team. On top of that, their capacity to keep up with tight (but realistic) deadlines.

Not that I can think of. We're looking forward to collaborating with them again.

We asked our UI/UX designer to shortlist a number of agencies for us. He shortlisted Unikorns amongst others for the quality of their work and the level of their fees

We started with an intake describing our business, our target audience and the brand values we wanted to convey. We quickly progressed to logo, colour palette, imagery and font options and high-level wireframes. After we finalised the rebrand, we provided copy. They then produced the detailed design and selected the images. In the final phase they implemented the website in Webflow. We had chosen Webflow ourselves. We decided to leave brand guidelines out-of-scope for now.

We were very happy with the result, the process and the fees.

The Unikorns team worked very efficiently. Most communications were online via either Slack or Figma. Calls were only scheduled when needed which suited us. In the beginning they were a little rigid on project milestone sign off but to their credit they changed this process halfway based on our feedback.

The quality of their work was impressive. Also very impressive was the total turnaround time.

As mentioned, their process was a little rigid at first but they took that feedback on board and fixed it during the project.

The goal behind the Acorn Property Invest website was to create a credible brand presence, as well as to utilise content marketing as an effective tool to create and grow our brand. We also wanted to give our brand a much-needed refresh, so we focused on creating a website that was easy to navigate, with an updated and modern design.

Our main goal was to create an effective platform through which our customers could learn more about our services and offerings, as well as to create a clear path to contact us and make inquiries.

We chose Unikorns to build the Acorn Property Invest website because we were impressed with their portfolio of work. They had experience in creating custom websites for various businesses, and their team of web developers and designers seemed like the perfect fit for our project. We were also pleased with Unikorns' commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in web development.

Their attention to detail and responsiveness to our requests were also major factors in our decision. In the end, we were confident that Unikorns could deliver a website that was both professional and engaging, and we are thrilled with the results.

The process began with a consultation to discuss the website's purpose, target audience and desired look and feel. We then moved on to creating mock-ups and wireframes so I could visualize the website design before making any commitments. After the mock-ups and wireframes were approved, Unikorns delivered the final designs for the website. They then developed a bespoke website with the exact specifications I requested. It was a smooth process and I'm very pleased with the final product.

We had a great experience working with Unikorns on the Acorn Property Invest website. Vlad, the project manager, was our main point of contact and was extremely helpful in getting us through the early stages of the process. We were also introduced to two talented designers and one experienced developer who all provided invaluable input into the project.

They were incredibly responsive and always available to answer any questions or concerns we had. We were blown away by their attention to detail and commitment to making sure the website was up to our standards.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Although we have not been able to establish measurable outcomes yet, customers using Acorn Property Invest have expressed their delight with the new refresh, indicating that they now have a much clearer comprehension of the products and services Acorn Property Invest has to offer.

Vlad, our project manager, was key in keeping us up to date on the progress of our project. He would ensure that we were informed of any delays and why they were happening, and he would give us plenty of notice so that we could make any necessary preparations. Slack and Figma were our tools of choice for coordination, and they worked well for our team.

Working with Unikorns was a delight; not only did they provide us with a professional site that is easy to update and we can be proud of, but they also took the time to teach us how to update the content ourselves. The team's impressive communication and timely responses made all the difference, and we are so happy with the result.

At first, we noticed a few bugs, but they weren't anything major. We alerted them and they quickly took care of the problems.

I am a Senior Project Manager at a company that provides brand design and corporate messaging strategy services to companies ranging from start-ups to enterprise level organizations.

We hired Unikorns for design support on a brand design project during a busy period when our internal resources couldn't cover the work. Brand design is one of our core offerings, so it was important that we had a team that could give their full attention to the project and ensure a high-quality result.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Our CCO found Unikorns through a web search and then our Head of Operations reached out to confirm their availability.

The goal of the project was to uplevel the client's current brand to make it more coherent and professional, and then to codify guidelines to ensure consistent application of the brand across all of their design assets and facilitate easy onboarding for any new design personnel.

The project began with Unikorns creating (3) brand concepts that evolved the client's previous brand system into (3) new and unique directions, which we presented to the client for their review and selection. Once they selected a concept, we went through (2) more rounds of refinement to fully flesh out all the various elements (typography, color palettes, graphic system, illustrations, photography, etc).

Once the concept was solid, we asked Unikorns to translate the concept into our guidelines template, which they did easily and with minimal hand-holding. The guidelines went through (2) additional rounds of review and refinement with the client, and then were finalized and delivered. The client was very happy with the final product. We did all design work in Figma.

In total, we worked directly with 3 people at Unikorns. Our point of contact was a co-founder of Unikorns and a creative director. The other two included another co-founder/creative director and a brand designer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project felt smooth from start to finish - we were able to deliver all components by the delivery date and the client was very happy with the result. They continually offered high praise for the quality of the work and how well it spoke to their overall vision. Delivery was recent, so I don't have any metrics to point to.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Working with Unikorns was very easy. They communicated well, consistently delivered high quality work, and they were great collaborators and problem solvers throughout the project. Since brand design is one our core offerings, we were a little bit nervous about outsourcing that kind of work for fear that our high standard of work wouldn't be met, but those fears were quickly put to rest when Unikorns demonstrated their competency and professionalism.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

From a project management, their collaboration and flexibility was a huge boon to the project. They repeatedly showed their true investment in delivering a high-quality final product - not just in receiving payment. When deadlines got tight, they proactively communicated and helped problem solve for the situation. From a design perspective, they consistently delivered high quality work and they were able to thoughtfully discuss what they had created, which allowed for great discussion and collaboration.

Our company is based on the West Coast of the United States, which actually turned out to be a great advantage due to the time change. We could send feedback at the end of our day, then they could put in a full day's work and deliver new versions by our morning. It was also easy to schedule check-ins because of the ~2 hour overlap in working hours (their late afternoon = our morning). This allowed for much more efficient use of time and minimized any timeline slippage.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Any improvements I offer here would just be reaching for criticism. They were easy to work with and I never felt they were a source of friction to the project.

We needed help with a complete rebranding and a website to go with that. We were looking for a website that we would be able to keep up-to-date with new content ourselves and one that is future-proof.

How did you select this vendor?

We looked at platforms such as Dribbble and assembled a list of 8 agencies to reach out to. We selected Unikorns because of their quick and clear communication, and the proposal they presented.

First, we filled in a brief to describe our exact needs, who our target audiences are, and why we wanted a rebrand and a website rework. After that, we scheduled a call to discuss the case with the people who would work on the project. First, Unikorns started on a redesign of our logo. We were quite attached to our old logo, but after some iterations, valuable insights, and professional guidance from the people at Unikorns, we decided on a new logo.

After that, the rebranding went quite fast, as we agreed on typography and colors within ~1 week from finishing the logo. In the meantime, Unikorns was already working on the low-fidelity design of our new website as well. Once Unikorns finished the branding, they could move on to the high-fidelity design. After that was done, we had a meeting to discuss any technical requirements, such as custom integrations needed for the website before development would start.

When development started, we got regular updates on our website's different pages and were able to test the functionality of the various features. After Unikorns finished development, Unikorns introduced us to the systems on the website's backend so that we could easily add or remove content ourselves. Once all that was done, we had the final handover, which went very smoothly, as well as the release!

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Because of Unikorns' work, our brand now has the image we were looking for - playful yet professional. We have received positive responses from partners, the team, and our community to the new look of our brand!

We communicated pretty much daily over e-mail unless there weren't any significant updates. For testing the website and reporting issues, we used Notion, which was easy to use.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I really got the sense that they cared a lot about the project, but also outside of the tasks they were given. They offered to give feedback on some other ongoing projects that we had that would have the new branding included, which really showed that they cared about the whole brand and not just the tasks they were hired to do. Communication was also fast and clear, and at times were things were unclear they were very fast to clear things up.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I prefer a different communication method than e-mail. I think e-mail worked fine, but a program like slack would have definitely made the process a bit smoother.

I am the Founder of MyCheckins. We are a stand-up bot for Slack and Microsoft Teams. We are an early-stage company helping remote and hybrid teams reduce meetings and stay in sync.

We worked with Unikorns to develop our new website design. After speaking to many users, we realized that our landing page was not doing a good job at communicating our product and it's value (both in terms of copy and visuals). We worked with a copywriter to fix our messaging and develop lo-fi wireframes. Then we worked with Unikorns to develop the visual design.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were referred to Unikorns by a designer we worked with in the past. We went ahead with them because: - Their past work in the B2B SaaS space matched our taste. - They understood our need to communicate visually with high-quality product screenshots.

We had an initial meeting to discuss the scope and walk them through the project. They got back to us with a timeline and estimated pricing. We made some changes to the scope to meet our internal timeline and commenced the project. The delivery was split into four parts and was pretty much on schedule the entire time.

We had some feedback on some of the items and they did a good job incorporating that with their expertise. At the end, we closed on the final tasks (licensing images, fonts etc.) and completed the project handover formalities.

We worked with two people primarily - Vlad, the project manager (and co-founder), and Maria, the designer. Their CEO was also a part of the initial calls.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We're very happy with the visual design of the new page. It aligns properly with our updated product messaging. The product screenshots are do a great job in communicating the value visually, which was a big requirement for us. The website is not live yet, so we don't have metrics to share. But we're positive we will see improvements in conversions.

Vlad was clear and punctual in their communication. They shared regular updates with us. After a few initial calls, all of our communication was asynchronous (over Figma comments and email).

The quality of design work. We were very happy seeing how well the designs came out. Their designer did a fantastic job incorporating our feedback and delivering the right output.
