Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a company with an advisory platform. It's dedicated to individual clients to give them a smart way of saving money. It’s also an investment, savings, banking, and insurance product.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with TogetherData sp. z o.o.?
We wanted to launch a platform for clients after previous efforts hadn't been successful. My colleague and I changed the name and started a totally new strategy.
We needed help to create a wow effect for our clients. We’re mainly focused on web and mobile applications, and we don’t have any branches or workers working directly with clients. They fill out the application form, which can be boring, so we wanted to create a process that helps the client. It’ll help clients and give a good impression.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We built our customer relationship management (CRM) back- and frontend system from scratch, creating a new front of our company. We are 80% done with it.
We started with workshops. There are lots of chatbots on the market, but in financial services, the robot techs don’t exist. We wanted to give the impression to clients that on the other side there’s someone, a robot, who really understands what you’re talking about. If you give information, the robot can answer you. We prepared a lot of scenarios so it can function well.
TogetherData gave us all the technology because we didn’t have any experience in creating robot intelligence. They gave us the tools that were already implemented in their company to give us the know-how of how we should start to build the robot, and how the robot should learn. We worked step-by-step with different kinds of questions. Together we teach the robot, so both teams were learning from each other. We're confident because they’ve done a lot of tests before their AI reached any clients. They’re not a startup company.
What is the team composition?
We worked with two senior managers who came to me during the status meetings. Sometimes managers don’t know the status, but theirs stayed involved.

They worked with our marketing department in the past and the head of the marketing gave me their contact. They were ready and wanted to do this. We chose them because of their attitude and they cared—we had chemistry with them. We also chose them because of their price.

We started working together in December 2017 and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We now have the finished solution. We’re keeping it undercover right now and are testing it with our friends and family to make sure everything is working properly. We believe we have built the best solution.
How did TogetherData sp. z o.o. perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re good at leading the project. We cooperate on a daily basis and communicate mainly by telephone and email. We also use a tool to exchange information. Very often, they come to our headquarters and work together, while we also go to them. When our teams are meeting, they challenge each other. It’s a good climate to work with each other, because when you only have sweet conversation, it doesn’t always lead to good things. In business, you need challenges and you need to argue sometimes to make your argument. They aren’t afraid to do this and ask questions.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I recommend them to anyone looking for a company that’s not corporate. They're a smaller company with cheaper prices, so are good for a startup.
Are there any areas they could improve?
In order to launch faster, they need to hire more people. However, it would be an advantage for them to grow, but from my perspective, as a small company, I like cooperating with a smaller entity.
