Objectives:

By integrating AI capabilities into a scalable web framework, the project aimed to demonstrate practical applications of AI in a university context while maintaining forward-looking design principles. 

Integrated SEO-aligned web structures to ensure visibility and usability for a broad audience.

Built a modular, responsive web interface that highlights real-world applicability and scalability.

Codess is a community for female coders initiated by Microsoft. Codess was established to explore ways to promote gender diversity in the engineering field. Codess aims to inspire female coders and help them achieve their professional goals. Through networking events, mentoring and sharing advice and experiences, we hope to offer a forum to women unlike any other.

Codess delivers a series of worldwide invite-only virtual events and workshops from academia through to the executive level. With participants across Eastern and Western Europe, Asia and the US, Codess is continuously growing and servicing the international engineering communities.
We host Codess events around the world and cater to each specific location, but you should expect a fun experience no matter which event you attend. Past events have included speakers from expert engineers to technical thought-leaders, hackathons and workshops, networking opportunities, discussions on the latest industry news and more.

They opened the engagement with a clear Gantt chart that mapped every milestone, owner, and dependency, then shared weekly status snapshots so we always knew exactly where we stood. Thanks to that structure—and their knack for anticipating blockers—every deliverable landed either on or ahead of schedule, including two scope additions we requested mid-stream.

When our priorities shifted, the team responded within hours, updated the timeline, and offered options that kept the overall launch date intact. Communication channels were wide-open: a dedicated Slack thread for quick questions, bi-weekly Teams check-ins for deeper dives, and a shared. From a project-management standpoint, every moving part—speaker wrangling, hybrid streaming, lab content, office-tour logistics—ran on a tightly choreographed schedule that never slipped. Their weekly status notes flagged potential blockers early, and when we added a last-minute Partner Careers Fair, the team absorbed the extra scope without missing a single milestone.

We were impressed with their depth of technical execution. Tapo Digital didn’t settle for surface-level “hello-world” demos; they guided students through building Python Flask web apps on Azure, wiring GitHub Actions pipelines, and crafting Power Platform chatbots that hit live REST endpoints—all with security best practices baked in.

We needed help with consulting on a complex customer use case.

What was the scope of their involvement?

A major part of the project involved exploring retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to improve knowledge management and real-time response accuracy. Tapo Digital’s team not only explained the concept in a clear, accessible way but also mapped out how RAG could be applied within our system architecture. Their ability to translate advanced AI methods into practical, web-ready solutions was extremely valuable.

Tapo Digital delivered a solution design document covering how RAG could be applied to our use case, technical workflows and process maps that simplified a complex problem into actionable steps, prototypes and proof-of-concept demos showcasing AI features integrated with web development, and an implementation roadmap with clear milestones, timelines, and scalability considerations.
