Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

They did a full redesign on Craft CMS—strategy, UX, design, technical SEO, everything. Launched January 5, 2026. Jessica (their Director of Strategy) ran discovery workshops to really understand our business model and sales cycle. The big challenge was that our website was still structured for this much bigger, more complicated company we used to be. After divesting a bunch of acquisitions, our navigation didn't make sense anymore. They rebuilt the whole information architecture around how users actually think about their needs—tracking legislation, running advocacy campaigns, managing constituent relationships—instead of around our internal org chart. They also helped us completely rethink our content strategy. Our blog traffic was way down because of AI search results, so they pushed us to stop focusing on top-of-funnel educational content and instead create content that would actually drive qualified leads. On the technical side, they cleaned up a ton of issues—hundreds of orphaned pages, broken links, redirect problems. Got our site health way up and cut 404 traffic by about 80%.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The results have been really strong, especially considering we just launched a month ago. Our product pages are getting way more traffic—up 128% from last year. Keywords we weren't ranking for at all before are now in the top spots. Most importantly, we're getting way more demo requests from organic search. Product pages specifically are up 300% compared to before, which is huge for us. On the technical side, our site health score went from 40 to 89. We fixed hundreds of orphaned pages, eliminated all the broken links, got our 404 traffic way down.  

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Brooke and Chris were really organized. Regular check-ins, project boards we could all see, everyone knew what was happening. They hit our January 5th launch date. What I appreciated most was how responsive they were when priorities shifted. We're a small team—13 people—supporting a complex business, so things change. When we needed quick turnarounds, they made it happen.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their whole philosophy is that your website isn't just a marketing channel—it's the foundation that makes everything else work. Most agencies treat SEO and conversion optimization as add-ons you can skip. Takeoff won't let you skip them, and they're right not to. I've worked with agencies that were good at design, or good at SEO, or good at strategy. Rarely all three. With Takeoff, those things actually worked together—the strategy informed SEO work, which informed the design, which reinforced the strategy. It wasn't siloed. The other thing is their fractional Director of SEO model. We're a 13-person team. We need senior SEO expertise but can't afford a full-time hire. The fractional model gives us ongoing access to Max without the full-time cost. It's perfect for where we are right now.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Takeoff could have done differently?

Honestly, no. They did good work, delivered on time, and the results are strong. The project had some complexity with holiday timing, but they handled it well.
