I’m the founder of PromoPrep, and we offer software for marketers to help manage and track promotional activity.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tagline Infotech?

I was seeking the development of my SaaS platform from start to finish.

What was the scope of their involvement?
We began working together at the very early stages of development when there was no product. We’ve been engaging for a year and a half, and they’ve developed everything from the beginning to where the software is now.

They utilized Ruby on Rails and Angular for the front- and backend, but there were Progress products and SQL involved as well.  The software is hosted on AWS.

What is the team composition?

I was primarily in contact with two team members, but there were as many as four working on the project.

How did you come to work with Tagline Infotech?

I was looking for someone who would be a good fit for the product I’d envisioned. I found them on the web and decided to go with them because their founder was fantastic. I’ve continued to work with them because their flexibility and responsiveness have been perfect.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in April 2018, and the work is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They’ve delivered everything from the account and user processes to the entire frontend side of the program. Bipin (CEO & Founder, Tagline Infotech) does a great job of walking you through different problems. We’ve never had any issue which they couldn’t figure out—they’re able to tackle pretty much everything you throw at them.

How did Tagline Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been very communicative. While we have very different hours since they’re based in India, their responsiveness is just fantastic. I’ll usually check in the morning—their evening—and find emails or chat updates. We’ve always been able to keep track of progress and capture all workflows.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Despite having other products to work on, the team has always shown great dedication to my project. They’re excellent at keeping your project moving, even when they’re busy.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t really think of anything. In the initial stages, you naturally have to gain a mutual understanding of their capabilities and your expectations. Since I’ve been working with them for so long, we’ve established a good, rhythmic workflow.

Keep in mind that your relationship is a work in progress—you’ll learn more about each other as you go.

We are working with the team on the full development of our platform. They are helping us build both the frontend and backend, set up the main modules, and develop the features the product needs as it grows. They also handled the AWS setup and configuration, making sure everything runs smoothly and that the system is stable and well organized on the server side. Their work covers core logic, integrations, UI improvements, and performance updates across the whole platform.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We’ve seen steady progress as different parts of the platform have been completed. The frontend and backend are already connected and working together, the main booking flow is functional, and several key modules are now live in our internal environment. The AWS setup also improved the overall speed and stability of the system. Each milestone has helped us move closer to having a fully usable version of the platform.

Their project management has been very good. The developers are always attentive and quick to reach out whenever they need clarification, and communication has been smooth from the start. We can jump on video calls whenever needed to solve questions, and they respond well to my notes and feedback. They keep me updated on the progress, and overall they’ve been reliable and easy to work with. The communication is smooth, and the team always puts in the effort to get things done well, so I would gladly recommend them.

What stood out to me the most is how easy they are to work with. They take the time to understand what I want, they communicate clearly, and they’re always willing to adjust things until they match the vision. Their attitude, the way they handle feedback, and how involved they are in the project make the whole process much smoother.

So far everything has been smooth. The communication is good, they pay attention to details, and they adapt quickly to any request. At this stage I don’t have anything specific that I feel they should have done differently.

The app needed to manage session state data, and handle integrations across 3-5 pages.

Response time and interaction with the team was a very huge success. I knew I could get a thoughtful response from the team members and they would have good suggestions for improvements.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Tagline communicated via slack to update me daily on changes and progress made with my project. Video demonstrations and pictures of the project were shared, as well as test builds when they were ready.

The project is about 70% complete, and at this stage they are running on time as promised. The team work well together and communicate regularly, and the manager has ensured that the project has remained on schedule. When we brought up any suggestions or amendments, tagline were always open and ready to make any changes to suit our needs.

TaglineInfotech developed a ruby based application that allowed parents and guardians to register their children in the goodloe homeschool umbrella group, the application had a sleek and modern user interface and supported web forms with front end validation and dashboards for parents to check on their registration status and update their information. 

The application also had an administrator view which allowed Goodloe admins to see all registred students and update information as needed. They were also able to print confirmation letters for the counties and send re-enrollment reminder emails to parents.
