BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a director of a development company. We are an 11-year-old company. We develop our own products in the audit and risk management space and deploy them to various enterprises across the globe.
We’re primarily based in India, and we also have offices in other locations, including the US and Singapore.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Successive Digital?
Since we’re a product development company, we have certain products that utilize Java technology and required the development of Java Persistence APIs (JPAs). Since we don’t have our own team to carry out those particular developments, we reached out to Successive Digital.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Successive Digital has developed JPAs and the overall Java product for our product portfolio. We initially gave Successive Digital the entire wireframe of the product’s design and look. We also shared with Successive Digital the product's technical specifications we needed to develop. Successive Digital gave us a detailed specifications document and then started with the development of the product.
Our product’s goal is to automate the user management process within systems through a flow-based solution. Users will be able to log into the app, submit their requirements, and send them for the approval of managers and key stakeholders in the company.
What is the team composition?
We work with Successive Digital’s project coordinator and a developer.
How did you come to work with Successive Digital?
I’m a part of the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), which is an Indian association that Successive Digital is also a part of. I posted my project’s requirements there, and Successive Digital connected with me.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested between $15,000–$20,000 with Successive Digital.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our partnership with Successive Digital began in September 2022 and is an ongoing engagement. Successive Digital has completed one sprint, and we’re waiting for input to continue with the next sprint.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re satisfied with Successive Digital’s work. We haven’t launched the product with our end client, so I don’t have quantitative metrics to share at the moment.
How did Successive Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
Successive Digital meets deadlines and stays on budget. They’re also very responsive and attentive. Successive Digital has stepped in and taken care of our concerns whenever we’ve had issues with certain deliveries or the work quality. We mostly use Microsoft Outlook for communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m most impressed with Successive Digital’s communication. They’ve immediately addressed our concerns when we’ve had issues. Successive Digital also has a great team and delivers excellent work.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I’d like it if Successive Digital used other project management tools besides Jira. Although we communicate through Microsoft Outlook, I believe it’d be easier to understand our project’s status through a project management tool.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I recommend working with Successive Digital for Java development services because they have a great team, coordination, and expertise. Successive Digital has added value to our company.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
We were using third-party integration to manage our product catalog and after that, our inhouse team used to do the deployment manually. As our objective changed to evolve into an agile, automated, and customer-focused enterprise, we looked toward modern application development, deployment, and management processes to achieve agility, speed, quality, better performance, and scalability.
Successive Digital helped us end-to-end in becoming a DevOps-powered organization. Our applications and systems were deployed on multi-cloud, including Azure, Google, Alibaba, and Oracle cloud platforms. They helped us with application migration and modernization distributed across our different regions. Keeping the multi-cloud capabilities intact for 180+ applications, they implemented DevOps solutions on Azure.
Some of the existing applications hosted on Oracle and Alibaba were seamlessly migrated to GCP using 75+ virtual machines and Kubernetes. They also helped with setting up an automated CI/CD pipeline for the build, testing, and deployment for supporting code changes, enabling faster, and more reliable software delivery.
And top of that, they integrated robust monitoring and logging solutions with all modern tools that are allowing our team to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently. Disaster recovery and backup solutions were leveraged on Oracle and Google Cloud.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the mobile geographic information system (GIS) software solutions manager at Frontier Precision, an engineering firm.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Successive Digital?
We didn’t have all of the internal resources we needed for some big projects we wanted to do. We were looking for additional development as well as better QA on our software products.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Initially, Successive Digital came in to help us work through all of the problems our unfinished product had and get the software released. During that first project, their team didn’t help us with design work because they simply worked with what we already had.
Once we finished that project, we started working with Successive Digital as if they were part of our team. Currently, they’re on a monthly retainer, and their staff works on our different development projects. Over the last four years, they’ve also helped us work on a brand new project, which involved creating wireframes, mock-ups, and designs overall. Additionally, they’ve fixed and provided maintenance to other products.
Successive Digital’s primary work has revolved around a product for mosquito control, although they’ve also worked on a product for invasive plant control as well. These products target local government entities, mostly in the US, that work on mosquito control and public health.
Those tasks use chemicals in the field, so governmental entities are required to keep records of where they used chemicals and how much they used, based on scientific evidence. Therefore, we offer GIS-based software that helps them with data collection and recording. This software is map-based and has basic analytic capabilities.
What is the team composition?
Currently, 17–18 teammates from Successive Digital work on our projects, including developers, QA engineers, business analysts, managers, and global delivery and governance experts.
How did you come to work with Successive Digital?
I posted a job offer on Upwork and was approached by a few different companies. Successive Digital’s CEO responded to my offer and got me in touch with a project manager. Then, they arranged to do a first sprint cycle at no charge so that we could see how they worked. They seemed very professional and ready to help, so we ultimately hired them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent over $1 million.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2017, and our engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Throughout our engagement with Successive Digital, our customer base has increased by around 400% thanks to our software products. Additionally, their team has continued to improve the quality of those products, so our issues have decreased by 50%. As a result, the number of upset customers calling for customer support has almost disappeared.
How did Successive Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
For the first project, we worked with Successive Digital on a sprint cycle basis, and it was a great experience. Their team always hit the target dates. Still, once we started working on a new project and had more uncertainty, some of the deadlines weren’t met, but those delays weren’t their fault — there were third-party considerations. Since then, our collaboration has been good.
We use Redmine to manage our projects, and we communicate via email and video calls. One time, I was able to visit Successive Digital’s headquarters, which was awesome. Overall, their communication is great, and they’re happy to communicate in any way we want.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Successive Digital’s company culture is outstanding. They show a lot of enthusiasm and joy as they work and collaborate closely with us. Moreover, they’re very professional, and they’ve grown tremendously. Throughout our engagement, they’ve more than doubled their employees and improved the quality of their work. Their team is constantly improving everything they do.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything Successive Digital could improve on. Whenever we have an issue, they address it.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Meet the team as much as possible and in the most direct way possible. If you can, I encourage visiting them in Delhi, India. The more you see and meet with each other, the closer the connection will grow, and the more enthusiasm for their work they’ll show.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of CoWorker, a marketplace for finding and booking co-working spaces.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Successive Technologies?
We wanted to bring our website into a native mobile application. We started building the app a few years ago with a different development company, but we lost contact with them due to the Russian Invasion of Ukraine.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Successive Technologies works on iOS and Android development. They initially came in and took over the app. First, they got it to run correctly again, and then we expanded the engagement to develop it more fully and with richer features.
The platform is a booking app where users can search, compare, and book co-working spaces. Successive Technologies is developing an API to match the UX on the website. They’ve helped us with wireframes and mock-ups, and we’re currently trying to improve the UX design.
What is the team composition?
We have two developers, one for iOS and one for Android. Additionally, other people are involved on a project management and accounting level, so we work with four teammates in total.
How did you come to work with Successive Technologies?
Our CTO worked with them on a different project a few years ago and recommended them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $25,000–$30,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in February 2022, and our relationship is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We don’t have KPIs; we just look at what they do and how well they communicate.
How did Successive Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
Communication is excellent. We have a Slack channel, and they give us daily updates about what they’re aiming to do and what they’ve completed.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their communication is their most impressive trait. Moreover, their work is good, and they’re very punctual, thorough, and professional.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We’ve had issues because we have a lot of work, so we’ve missed some things. However, I don’t think they could improve anything on their side. If we had more budget, we could have someone on their side working more proactively and making recommendations to us, but it’s more of a gap on our side.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure you have a development roadmap and plenty of tasks. We haven’t used the team efficiently because we continue to run out of things for them to do. They ask for more tasks, but we don’t have them ready.

Successive Technologies has been hired to build and maintain a website. They are updating and adding features to the site based on end user feedback, and performing testing before launching it on the site.
Successive Technologies is providing high-quality, efficient work that the client is very satisfied with. There are relatively few issues, and they are responsive and communicative with the client. When something needs to be done correctly and quickly, the client can rely on their team.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I work for a company called ChanceLight. We work with at-risk youth, and children with autism in two different aspects. At-risk youth students who are on the verge of being kicked out of school will be referred to us, and we have our own website where we provide a school-based curriculum to try and keep them in the school system. We provide a similar website-based format for our behavioral health services for children with autism.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Successive Technologies?
We had an internal developer several years ago who built our website, but it got shelved in favor of bringing in third-party software companies. Our company eventually decided they didn’t want to rely on those third-party companies anymore, so we went back to that original system.
Successive Technologies is one of two external companies that we hired to build out and maintain our homegrown system.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
When we first hired Successive Technologies, we gave them all the documentation of what we had and what we needed the website to do. Our company will normally get some kind of enhancement request or bug request from an end user within our system, and our team will look into it and see if it’s something that we are looking to implement.
In both cases, whether we need to update or add to our system, we provide documentation and draft things up like screenshots and queries, and then send that off to Successive Technologies.
From there, they scope out the work that needs to be done in order to accomplish the tasks and provide us with an estimated number of hours and overall cost.
We evaluate the estimate and see if it falls in line with what we were expecting, and if it does, we go ahead and execute the work order. Successive Technologies will execute all the steps within the documentation, and will do testing within the test environment of our system.
We then go in and test it ourselves to make sure it's operating correctly, and that we’re not breaking something else in the system with the new upgrades or features. If everything looks good, we publish it to our production environment, and it goes live. We follow up if any of the testing fails, or if anything isn’t working within the scope of the documentation that we initially sent them.
We send the initial documentation to them using SQL Server, and some of the languages they use are HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and C#.
What is the team composition?
On a daily basis, we’ll normally be in contact with our project manager and two developers. We also have an account manager that all of the documentation and updates go through, but we’re not in regular contact with that person.
How did you come to work with Successive Technologies?
I was not with the company when they hired Successive Technologies, so I’m unsure.
How much have you invested with them?
I’m not privy to the entire budget, but between March 2021–March 2022, we spent a total of $65,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our work started with them in September 2019, and it is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Their work is really good, and we’ve been really happy with what they’ve done so far.
How did Successive Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
They have a very high level of communication, and their estimate for the completion of work is normally spot on. They might be a week or two off, but we recognize that they are estimates, and they normally do pretty well to stay within those. All of the work is on time and within budget.
We communicate with them through email for the most part. They’ve suggested using other systems and offered other options, but email is our primary form of communication for right now. We are working towards using the actual system they’re building out for us to communicate, but we haven’t gotten to that point yet. That’s not their fault though, it’s on our end.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re quick, efficient, and provide high-quality work. If we have any kind of problems or failures within the system, they are quick to fix them. We turn to them when something is a high priority or if we need it done correctly the first time because they get things done fast and there are usually no issues with it.
Overall, we would say their work is prompt and efficient.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The cost can be a little higher than some other companies, but you get what you pay for, and when we need work done properly we turn to Successive Technologies.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you’re contemplating using Successive Technologies, you should go for it. Make sure that you document everything that you send to them so those things can be easily implemented.

Successive Technologies provides custom software development for an IT e-commerce company. They’re building a data analysis tool that includes prepackaged and customizable operational reports.
The tool has had a significant impact on efficiency; it helps the client see what’s working to improve their performance. Successive Technologies has delivered high-quality work, staying ahead of timelines and providing constant updates. Overall, they stand out as proactive and accountable partners.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a senior manager for a prominent e-commerce company in the Middle East region.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Successive Technologies?
We were building smart technology tools for our in-house teams to improve their operational efficiency.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Successive Technologies is one of our key partners. They’re helping us build a data analysis tool for our in-house team. Initially, we set the goals, vision, and key features for the tool. Sometimes we write the user stories in Jira and provide them to their team. Other times, we give them briefs so few of their product managers can work and brainstorm on the user stories with their team.
The tool features include prepackaged reports displaying sales, inventory management, and output metrics. We have customizable reports where someone can go in and create their own dynamic reports.
What is the team composition?
We currently have close to 11 people working with us, and there’s a plan to ramp up the team. We usually have a complete project team with a project manager, frontend developers, backend developers, software testers, and UX developers.
How did you come to work with Successive Technologies?
I heard about them from a friend who worked with them in the past and was happy with their work. I got in touch with them, and the quote was competitive. Initially, we started with three developers. We saw that the quality was much better than the other vendors that we had, so we decided to ramp up the team gradually.
How much have you invested in them?
We spend about $25,000 per month, and I see this going up in the next quarter.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve worked with them since February 2022; the partnership is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Although it can’t be measured, quality is one key thing. Also, we look at how often we meet our sprint goals and whether timelines aren’t exceeded. In general, they make good plans and finish everything on time.
Moreover, their impact has been significant because this tool helps us decide what is and isn’t working. For us, insights lead to action, so insights have to be precise. With whatever we’re doing, we ensure that we create all kinds of test cases, such as positive and performance test cases. Then, we review those to make sure the data is correct, and it has been pretty accurate. There have been some issues, but we’ve caught them in the development stages.
How did Successive Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
We work on the sprint goals together, and they’ve delivered successfully. They’re one of the best teams we’ve seen — they’re disciplined in their approach, and their deliverables always have a high quality. Additionally, they send daily reports highlighting the work done throughout the day. We also have a morning call, so each day starts with a plan.
They use Jira to manage all the user stories and TestStream to create all the test cases and fix bugs.
What did you find most impressive about them?
First, their accountability is outstanding. They’re very proactive — they communicate with us, and it’s a full end-to-end responsibility. Also, they don’t create boundaries around what they’re supposed to do. Whenever we set up any challenging timelines, they ensure they meet them. We don’t usually find this with other teams, but Successive Technologies makes sure they launch everything with quality and on time.
All in all, they aren’t just developers; the team members get involved and are very skilled. Our collaboration is excellent.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there’s nothing I can think of right now. Their performance has been great.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
First, you need to set high standards. We told them that they’re a critical partner for us, so they must perform well so we can take it to the next level. Their team also increases when we do well, so setting a high benchmark is essential because they know you won’t settle for less.
Additionally, make sure there’s proper communication and review things now and then so you can give feedback.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the chief delivery officer for a consulting company focusing on the transportation and logistics industry in the US. I’m responsible for all of our project delivery across consulting and technology.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Successive Technologies?
One of our clients wanted some website development work on some of their marketing pages. They wanted to use Drupal and WordPress, but we didn’t have the skillsets to do that work. We wanted to work with them because they were a big client, so we needed someone with experience in those technologies.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We went to Successive Technologies and presented our client’s project. We had the high-level requirements, the timeline they needed to meet, the overall scope, and the budget in mind. We had a few conversations about the scope over 1–2 weeks, and then they proposed a team for a six-week project. We quickly came to an agreement, so we started with the project.
The client already had the solutions in place. Successive Technologies did custom development work on those existing solutions. However, they had to build a connector between Salesforce, Drupal, and WordPress. They did new API work for the client.
The new functionality was designed to collect and qualify inbound marketing leads. Successive Technologies placed a widget with a series of qualification questions on the client’s marketing pages. The user had to go through them, and depending on the answers, they’d be asked more questions to get enough information to qualify them as a lead. Then, their information would be entered into Salesforce so the sales team could talk to the user about doing business with them.
What is the team composition?
It was a small team. About five people were involved: two developers, a QA tester, a project manager, and a program lead.
How did you come to work with Successive Technologies?
They were a referral. Someone else in our company worked with somebody from Successive Technologies several years ago. We’d already worked with them on a small staff augmentation work, so we already had a connection with them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent approximately $200,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project started in July 2021 and lasted seven weeks.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Unfortunately, we don’t have any metrics. We delivered it to the client, and they did some implementation work on their end. Overall, it was a very successful project. They delivered on time and within budget. They even went above and beyond with some pieces of functionality. Also, it was well-received by the client.
How did Successive Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
They did everything they were supposed to. They provided status updates and escalation when necessary. Also, they were always available for questions. The team was based in India, so they were flexible on having calls or meetings in the US late morning or early afternoon. Overall, project management was very positive.
We used Jira, Google Meet, and Slack for communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The range of skills and technologies they could work with was outstanding. Also, they reacted quickly to our needs.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t think there was anything that needed to be improved on the project.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If they meet your needs, you should certainly consider them. You have to be comfortable with working with resources from India regarding the time zone differences, but if you’re used to that, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Early into the engagement, Successive Technologies helped double the client’s company within a year, and they’ve achieved a steady growth of 20% per year since. A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and co-CEO of Macro Plate, a meal prep company. We prepare food and deliver it to customers across Southern California daily to help them get a structured diet for any dieting plan. In my role, I’m in charge of the web development and marketing side of the business.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Successive Technologies?
I originally built our website myself. It was able to take orders and build subscriptions, which was good enough to start. However, it had a lot of manual processes. When we got to hundreds of subscribers, we knew it was time to improve our website, so we hired Successive Technologies.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Successive Technologies has revamped our website and made a lot of improvements since we started working together. These improvements have included adding more features and automating more functionalities. To this day, they keep automating other processes within the website.
Other freelancers and I have been in charge of most of the design work, while Successive Technologies is more focused on backend development. They’ve mostly used Laravel and JavaScript to build the site.
What is the team composition?
We work with seven people from Successive Technologies, including a project lead, a main developer, a tester developer, and a new developer who recently joined the team.
The project lead manages the developers' team and assigns them the tasks for each day. This person also takes my briefs for the projects and figures out the best way to deliver them.
We also work with Sushant (Global Account Management & Business Development), who acts as the link between their owner and us and ensures that their team is doing what we need them to do.
How did you come to work with Successive Technologies?
I posted a job offer on Upwork and hired a freelancer who turned out to be part of Successive Technologies. As our project grew, this person told me that he had teammates in his company that could help as well. Thus, our engagement evolved into a direct contract with the company instead of working through Upwork.
A short time after that, we stopped working together. When we decided to restart our collaboration, I reached out to Successive Technologies to sign a new contract. However, the original developer whom I hired on Upwork no longer worked there, so we got a completely different team.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $100,000–$200,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in 2018, and our engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Throughout our engagement with Successive Technologies, our company has grown around 20% per year steadily, being our record growth of 100% from one year to another early into our engagement. I attribute a lot of this growth to what they’ve done for us.
How did Successive Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
For the most part, Successive Technologies has performed well. Although we initially had some issues with having the right-sized team at the right time, we figured out those challenges. They even worked with me on adjusting the bills when they weren’t doing much work due to the excess of resources working on the project. We use Jira to manage the project and Slack and Google Meet to communicate.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Successive Technologies’ main strength is their flexibility. They have a lot of resources, so there’s no need they cannot fulfill. Whatever need I’ve brought to them, they’ve always found a resource within their company who can quickly answer our questions or take care of the task.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It would be great if Successive Technologies took a more proactive approach toward adjusting the size of their team. They have more experience with these kinds of projects, so they know that sometimes can be a lot of work and other times there’s little work to be done. Thus, it would be helpful if they preemptively tried to anticipate these scope changes to adjust their team accordingly. Still, they’ve managed those issues very professionally.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Try to get a dedicated developer and build a team around that accordingly to the amount of work you need them to do weekly. This will help you have a person on their end holding their team accountable. If you work directly with regular developers, they will complete the tasks the quickest way they know how. However, if you have a senior developer leading the project, this person will oversee the project and come up with the most optimal solution, providing you with the best value for the money.

client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a SaaS company that provides electronic medical record software for government entities like jails, prisons, and correctional facilities.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Successive Technologies?
We needed to outsource some development work.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Successive Technologies provides my company with C# and ASP.NET developers. They handle custom software development for our web applications. Although the software was completed a decade ago, their team performs regular maintenance, additions, and upgrades.
What is the team composition?
Currently, we work with two software engineers, but at one point, we had five teammates working with us from Successive Technologies. However, there is a project manager we occasionally talk to.
How did you come to work with Successive Technologies?
I first hired Successive Technologies 10 years ago on Elance (now Upwork) when the two founders were the only employees. I was their first client. Our engagement has escalated from our first project — we now utilize more of their resources.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent close to $1 million. We now invest around $42,000 a year with Successive Technologies, but a few years ago, we spent double that amount.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing engagement began in January 2010.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We're a small company, so their success is measured by how many tickets are returned. We track all open and closed tickets. So far, we're pleased with the partnership and the teammates we're working with.
How did Successive Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
We manage projects and interact directly with the developers, although I know other companies like to use Successive Technologies' project managers. We always make sure that our projects stay within budget and timelines. We use GitHub and Mantis Bug Tracker.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Successive Technologies is very trustworthy — they inform us if they make a mistake. We've worked with several developers over our decade-long partnership, and they've never tried to hide their mistakes. Communication between us is clear, and they always fix our problems.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We've been working with them for so long that the partnership is very smooth, so I don't have any constructive feedback for them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
With any outsourcing partner, it's important to communicate clearly with Successive Technologies to avoid misunderstandings.
