I’m the assistant manager for an automotive company. Our company operates in India and specializes in designing and manufacturing electric vehicle (EV) chargers, EV ecosystems, and EV vehicles. 

We have a partnership with the government, and our company is responsible for producing all buses utilized by the government.

We began the pilot testing, and the results are amazing. The buses can now determine when they require a charge and how much of a charge is necessary for specific distances. It’s all about data and productive analysis, and the software performs well.

We're still in the process of getting the software developed. Still, I’ve been very impressed with the developers and project managers. The project manager is very good with communication and always ensures there is no lack of communication between our teams.

Since our product is used by multiple vendors, we wanted to develop an efficient, intuitive, and highly performant delivery & field service management software for delivery professionals. We wanted our developed offerings to be used as an omnichannel solution for better business and process optimization needs. We were lucky enough to work with Successive Digital as they were highly vigilant towards every bit of detail and specifications our team shared with them. 

They helped us with complete digital transformation right from designing the app layout, screens, and frontends that resonated with our brand. To enable our partners to efficiently and effectively manage their day-to-day operations, the following modules and features were developed and added to the application. 

iOS app and Android App Successive helped us to develop mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms to enable the workforce seamlessly download applications on their mobile devices and become part of the team in no time. Tasks allocation and optimization Our app was developed to allow delivery partners to view all the tasks in one place in chronological order. 

They can also see the assigned tasks on the map screen and can navigate the route that directly leads them to the exact delivery location. They are also provided with the ability to optimize the tasks such as completion times or distance time and others. Accepting/Unaccepting/Rejecting tasks Successive helped us integrate the most efficient functionalities, gestures, and OS capabilities to develop our applications. 

It increased the acceptance and engagement of our application among the delivery agents. For example, they enabled swipe functionality, allowing easy transitioning from one task to another and providing input in the app while on the go. Completing and Restarting a task We also facilitated features where delivery partners can track step-by-step what they need to perform to deliver a packet. 

For example, they can select a task to begin, follow in-route, and mark the item as completed once the item is delivered. And if the product is not delivered on time, they are also given the option to reschedule or restart the delivery process to complete the task.

Launching a new product with updated functionality and capabilities allowed us to witness overall growth in our business and sales. Among several, the most exciting facts were:

They were iterative in their processes. Henceforth, our project development process was smooth, and all deliverables were received on time. Successive has really worked on improvising processes and procedures for delivering milestones in a quick turnaround time. I discussed it above but again mentioned it here. What was most impressive about the company was the standardization they brought to the development, deployment, and delivery. They are so inclined towards quality and well-versed in best practices. Even we have adopted multiple processes and procedures in-house to streamline how we have been working.

I believe knowledge sharing is crucial in any project. We worked with Successive, and they helped us improve our system quality and operational efficiency, but our team also needed to get familiar with the new ways of working and using the tool. We could have planned frequent knowledge-sharing sessions with Successive Digital.

I’m the VP of product and engineering at a SaaS company that calculates building buy rights and values based on zoning regulations. Zoning regulates what and how much can be built on a piece of land, and we’ve created an engine to output these values digitally.

We hired them for DevOps support. As a SaaS company, we manage many servers and code deployments and do system maintenance work; we needed some help managing our AWS infrastructure.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Successive Digital provides us with DevOps staff augmentation. Initially, we reviewed multiple resumes, had some pre-interviews with engineers, and decided on the resource to hire based on that. We had to train Successive Digital’s team because our complex systems have many moving parts. As for the technologies involved, we rely on their expertise.

The Successive Digital team has helped us with two projects: they provide AWS support and knowledge of Terraform. Although we don’t have much experience with Terraform, we have some items implemented with that technology from a past teammate, and Successive Digital supports us. Currently, the team has a couple of tasks to knock out before the project is completed.

Thanks to Successive Digital’s work, we’ve been able to fill a gap in our staff’s experience. The Successive Digital team has integrated well into our systems and saved us some time. Moreover, they’ve always completed their tasks. We review their work, and its quality is consistently good.

Since our project has focused on supporting our internal engineering team, we don’t require any project management on Successive Digital’s side. Their scheduling flexibility is top-notch — they’re very accommodating. They’ve often worked late into the evening due to our time difference, and their flexibility has been amazing. 

We use Jira and Slack for project management and communication. Additionally, we have one-on-one calls through Google Meet.

Successive Digital has been flexible and accommodating in their support. Initially, we discussed the skill sets we needed and how they would support us. Successive Digital has quickly brought in more assistance and expertise when needed. When the team is stuck, we don’t usually know how to help them, so they reach out internally to find what they need.

I don’t think there’s anything they need to improve. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be open to conversation and if something doesn’t seem right, get on the phone with Successive Digital and talk through your challenges. You should be willing to provide support, even just communication-wise. The team is open to making adjustments, but they need communication from the client. 

I’ve worked with many contractors throughout my career, and I’ve found that if the communication is breaking down or something isn’t coming across correctly, it’s best to get in touch with the team and have a conversation. If the issue concerns cultural differences or language barriers that get confusing in writing, get on the phone; that clears blockers fast.

Our platform had a manual process for user onboarding, assessment, diagnosis, and creating a LifePlan. As a result, it required significant time and effort from the user and the fitness app team, leading to user onboarding and diagnosis delays. 

We came in touch with Successive Digital as we wanted to explore automation with the help of Successive to streamline the user experience, provide accurate assessments, deliver personalized recommendations, and generate a comprehensive LifePlan to help users achieve their fitness goals. To solve the UI concerns, the Successive team expanded to own the custom UI entirely and created a dashboard with the life plan revolving around the self-care pentagon.

We can really see some good results with our application. Since the app works with integration with Dozee, the app's UI has improved, resulting in higher rates of user retention. The designs that we received from the team are really promising, and the app functionalities (that are completed) are working just the way we want them.

Thus, we decided to go the development route wherein we got an app developed where the grocery delivery can be assigned to a driver depending on his/her availability which is either done manually or the system itself schedules them.
