How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We looked all over and found Spotlight was head and shoulders above everyone else. As a Law Firm owner, I have an extensive background dealing with website and digital marketing companies for Law Firms, most of them are extremely overpriced and deliver minimum value. Spotlight was the opposite.

Initial sales call, sign contract, onboarding and vision call, design phase, presentation, edits and content phase, completion of work. The process was very thorough and clean, and the end result was phenomenal.

In total we worked with two people. The first was the sales persona and the second was the Brand Manager. The Brand Manager handled all the details and I never had to speak with the design team.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

People rave about our website and our digital newsletter. Our website really converts prospective clients into paying clients.

Very effective. The brand manager system makes it extremely easy to work with.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The response time, most companies take days if not weeks to respond. Spotlight gets back to you within 28th hours without fail, their agility as a small company is what we value the most.

I looked for web designers in my local area. After reviewing different companies and checking out various websites, I chose Spotlight Branding because of their personable team, reasonable pricing, and stylish examples.

After a series of discovery meetings and emails to discuss my goals, I received initial designs for the main page of the site. Once I chose a theme, colors, style, etc., Spotlight finalized the design for my approval. My point of contact at Spotlight is extremely easy to get a hold of and very quick to respond

In total, I worked with 3 people, including a business development manager, lead account manager, and director of operations.

My site traffic has increased and I continue to receive compliments from clients about my website and social media postings.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The lead account manager is easy to communicate with and provided frequent updates and request for input. We had face-to-face meetings via Zoom. Everything was delivered on time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I've felt taken care of because of the knowledge they have about website design, UX, and optimization. I appreciated their patience while I came up to speed on how the process worked. This entire experience has been positive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I have a beautiful website and thoughtful social media posts that fit my and my firm's personality. I can't think of a way Spotlight Branding could have improved the experience.

I’m a solo attorney and I specialize in nonprofit and intellectual property law. I’ve been doing this for sixteen years, and I basically help nonprofits run and take on random legal matters relating to compliance and protecting their intellectual property.

I’m based in a small rural area, and not many people live where I live or have a need for my services, so I wanted to broaden my market to a larger, more metropolitan area.

Spotlight Branding helps me create monthly blog posts along with all the other blog posts that I write. They also handle my monthly newsletters and send them out to my clients. 

Their preparation work involved looking into my website to capture my tone and style. They then matched me up with people who can match my writing style and create specific content that my clients would be interested in. 

What is the team composition?

I have one point of contact who meets with me monthly and coordinates everything. They also provided a writer to help me with the blog posts. 

How did you come to work with Spotlight Branding?

I found them through a podcast. I decided to hire them since I liked their approach. A majority of advertising agencies in the law sphere are all about SEO, but that was not in line with my business and budget. I liked that their method was to engage the clients that I already had and target prospective customers in the area that I actually want to practice in.

I also felt that they were genuine and not one of those agencies who won’t really achieve the results that they promise in the beginning. They weren’t just after my money; they were realistic and reasonable about how much they could achieve for me.

I’ve paid them $500 a month for the last two years. That comes to about $12,000.

Our partnership began in March 2020 and it’s still ongoing.

Our revenue has doubled in the last year, which is great. Through the newsletter, my existing clients were reminded of their need for my services.

How did Spotlight Branding perform from a project management standpoint?

Spotlight Branding performs beautifully in this regard. We schedule quarterly meetings and they automate everything, which helps them deliver on time. If I don’t get around to approving their work that’s due for uploading, they send me reminders. It all runs very smoothly. 

We typically communicate via phone and email, and these are tried and true measures that have worked excellently for us.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve not worked with other agencies but based on the spiels that I’ve come across, I can say that Spotlight Branding’s approach is right for my business. I’d rather have people who need my services read my blog content and contact me directly than have 10,000 people clicking on my website without intending to engage with me.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t have any constructive feedback. I’ve really enjoyed working with them. They’ve been very kind and have even sent me a care package when I got back from surgery. Those thoughtful little gestures mean a lot to me.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Spotlight Branding offers a lot of services, so it’s a matter of knowing what approach you want to take for your business. If you want to consistently and steadily build on an existing customer base as opposed to using every marketing tactic out there, they’re your people. Just be sure to tell them what you want, when you want it, and what kind of communication tools you prefer to use.

Spotlight Branding is responsible for that. That has resulted in 10 -30% growth year after year... even when there is a down economy. Spotlight Branding is an integral part of my practice.

I'm a solo practitioner, so it is vital to have a team of experts that I can rely on to strategize and implement our plan. Without which I would never have the bandwidth to accomplish. There is never a question that they will deliver on time... it's just the way they operate.

Whenever we need an article or blog, they always complete it on time. They also give me a monthly report on or content performance. They use Google Analytics to track progress.

Their content writers take the time to research each topic, so our articles are very informative. We usually don't have to make many changes when we review their work.

Trust has been built up over the years between HBL and Spotlight through our relationship with our super amazing Spotlight rep, Anna. :) We were focused on staying "top of mind" when it came to our clients and prospects, which required a high volume of social media posts. Spotlight provided the consistency and transparency we needed and fit within our overall strategy.

Spotlight has taken our imaginative feedback and implemented it in a way that helps HBL to grow our brand freeing HBL up to focus on opportunities to grow the firm. We have worked with Spotlight to build our main website from the ground up, as well as created several social media campaigns on Twitter, Facebook, and more. There are typically several meetings in the beginning of a creative relationship. They took the time to understand our core values, the goals of our initiatives, and the details of our desired outcome.

From what I understand, Anna, our main liaison with Spotlight, helps to manage aspects of our website and social media copy & images. Through Anna, we also work with coders for more complex matters dealing with our website.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

HBL is pleased with the outcome of our social media efforts, as well as the construction of our home website. We have received many compliments regarding the consistency and quality of both.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Spotlight (Anna), has been more than accommodating of our needs. We typically communicate through email. She is normally able to respond to our requests between 1-2 business days, but she is also very responsive when she is not juggling other tasks.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

There has been a very unique business relationship that has bloomed between HBL and Spotlight. This has to do with how pleasant it is to work with Anna. The individual is typically a representation of the business for the average person.

In the near future, we may work with Spotlight to improve our social media hashtagging, but other than that, we couldn't be more pleased with all that Spotlight does.
