The exact type of outreach wasn't specified. Frankly I didn't care how they got the leads as long as they delivered the proper leads: people who were interested in outsourcing mobile app development to us. My main concern was that the leads were to understand our cost as we are priced above offshore companies.

I first dealt with the sales person. Later I was receiving emails from their lead gen person.

They initially sent one or two leads that were clearly NOT the type we wanted. I gave them some feedback and they adjusted their process. Over time they would send me a lead with email and phone number. I did receive 20 "leads". However, a majority of leads never returned any email or phone call no matter how often I contacted them. Some leads supposedly responded they definitely were looking for app development in the email trail sent by Spenz. However, they never responded to any outreach even though they did open my emails. I question if those were real email trails sent to me.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

There was minimal contact once we started.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I think they simply did large email blasts and forwarded anyone they got to me.

They should have communicated with their leads and properly vetted them before turning them over.

Our metrics for them are based on the number of calls they conduct and then how many of those are converted into potential leads, followed by how many of those are qualified and closed. As far as hitting those metrics, Strategic Sales & Marketing has been absolutely spectacular. I’ve worked with multiple different firms in this kind of work and they are by far the best at converting leads into actual work for our company.

Spenz Media has been a great partner with our best interest in mind. When we suffered traffic losses from a site launch, they were quick to jump in and help us find the crux of the problem. They went above and beyond in our traffic recovery and consulted with our developers to remediate the issues.

The first thing we collaborated on was the keywords we wanted to rank for. We prioritized those keywords, and then they came up with initiatives on how to rank better for those keywords, whether that was an optimized page on the website, a piece of content that we used as a link magnet to get links back to our site, or a series of blog posts where we optimized for a certain term that we wanted to rank for. The strategy was personalized in terms of what they thought could get the best results for each of these terms that we wanted to rank for.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We don’t get a ton of inbound leads. We got an organic lead a few months after Spenz Media came on and closed it to the tune of $12,000 a month in recurring revenue for a three-month contract. We’ve already seen measurable results in terms of dollars.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The nice thing about Spenz Media is that they have everything in a portal which I can log into. I can see the rankings and monthly breakdowns. Baljeet puts together monthly reports that she uploads to the portal, and we review those collaboratively and go through the progress that was made. We also have bi-monthly calls to chat about any strategy direction, changes we want to make, etc. The project management is really what has set them apart in my eyes.

What I think distinguishes Spenz Media from any other SEO provider I’ve worked with is the fact that they communicate, they’re accountable to their results, and they truly have our business’s best interest in mind.
