I’m the chief revenue officer at TALENYA. We're an AI talent sourcing company to find candidates for companies so that they can improve their recruiting processes and hire more diverse candidates.

We needed help with our email processing.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We used SocialBloom to help us bootstrap our FCR emailing process; they created two series and six emails for us. They also set up a domain for us to do the emailing from and automated the email-sending processes.

To start the process, we had onboarding calls to figure out the ITP, what market we were going after, and which buyers we were targeting — we got them up to speed on our business so they could do their work. We also talked through how we’d manage the relationship in an ongoing fashion, ensured that we had the right points of contact, and had a process for handing off leads that came in through SocialBloom to our sales team.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It was very time-saving for us that we didn't have to do the domain and the emails ourselves — that alone justified the investment. Additionally, we brought in about 25 leads, and half of those would be meetings, and the other half were ones to follow up.

How did SocialBloom perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was very solid. Regarding tools, we worked mostly using Google Sheets and Slack. Overall, they were responsive.

They’re easy to work with and knowledgeable of the space and the technology. They also followed through on what they said they were going to do.

They could have more clarity in explaining the results we could expect and what we need to improve.

Know your ideal customer profile and what the compelling events in their journeys are. They can help you scale your market if you can do that.

First we went through a discovery phase where our business goals were discussed and our value propositions were identified. SocialBloom team then developed a drip campaign strategy along with the content for email sequences. SocialBloom used very specialized set of tools for this form of campaign. We have been using Slack for project management and team communication

We have worked with an Account Manager, an email campaign manager. To track the performance of the campaign SocialBloom has given us access to near real time dashboard

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We started off with a blank slate and SocialBloom's experience helped us shape the message and conduct an informal A/B test to determine audience response. All the performance metrics have been trending in a positive direction including open rate and click through rate. Our most important criteria has been customer response to our email and appointment setting.

Since our campaign started in Dec 2021, we have had a atleast one prospect per week responding. Since its still early in the process and we are in enterprise B2B market with an AOV in 5 figures, trends are more important than actual number at this point. However our goal is to have an average of 3-4 appointments per week over the next 12 weeks.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We use Slack for all our communications and its pretty quick and easy

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive quality of the team is their ability to take technical jargon and convert them into a business friendly email copy. They are honest and transparent about what's working and what's not. We have come to trust them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We would like them to integrate with our Hubspot CRM

I am the owner of a video production company. Our customers were happy with our work but we had a problem with customer retention. Our marketing was mostly passive: website inquiries and word of mouth.

We wanted to set up an email marketing strategy to stay in touch with our customers, and to actively reach out to acquire new clients. We did not want our emails to look like advertising, but as personal emails to the recipients. Caleb and his team were very knowledgeable and set up a powerful email platform for us.

The sending schedule is throttled so that the emails are actually delivered and not flagged as spam and timed to bring in results. There's an art to successful email campaigns, and Caleb is an expert at it. The open and response rates are very high and we are very happy with the results. Caleb truly understands our business and our objectives. We have several campaigns in the queue and rely on Caleb to pull in the inquiries.

We considered a number of email marketing firms. The deciding factor was when Caleb (the owner) said that mass email campaigns simply don't work.

Social Bloom offers a start-to-finish email marketing service which includes setting up the emailing platform, copywriting, scheduling, timed launch and responding to inquiries. In our situation, we did not need all of the services. Social Bloom customized the service to fit our needs and budget.

One main contact and two support staff members who report to us on the progress and outcome of the ongoing campaigns.

We had a high number of positive responses, but the biggest success is that we now have a way to communicate and stay engaged with the customers.

The workflow has been seamless. We communicate on Slack and Social Bloom has been proactive in keeping the work moving forward.

They were very flexible and understanding to develop a customized program that works to meet our specific needs.

No, I can't think of anything they could have done differently. It's par for the course to take some time in the beginning to get to know each other's procedures and style and that period was actually pretty short.

This was integrated with our Mixmax calendar so whenever there was a warm lead it automatically separated time in our calendar for videocall. They send weekly reports to measure all progress.

These lead-gen campaigns were very successful. We are still getting new customers to sign for our PPC bidding program.

We had video call meetings twice a month via Zoom with the SocialBloom team. Communication was very fast and efficient, whenever they had questions with the prospects.
