For what projects/services did your company hire SkoVenture Media, and what were your goals?

I hired SkoVenture Media to do a video of our family business.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I hired SkoVenture based on another video that I had seen on facebook from my friend.

I had an initial phone conversation with the owner of SkoVenture and had him come out to meet our family. He came back to do the video on site and at one of our job sites. He got back to us and showed us the video and edits as he went along and sent us the finished results to our satisfaction.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

The owner of SkoVenture and the feedback process was great.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Yes, I personally and our family had so many positive comments about the finished video that he did for us. So many customers and friends and family said they had never seen anything like it!

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We told SkoVenture what we would like to see and he helped us along the way and everything was done in a timely manner.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We liked his positive personality and unique style of looking at things in our industry.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We would use his services again and would like to separate the different parts of our business to do other projects with longer video.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the farm director at Pelham Farms, and we’re an organic and regenerative farm. We grow vegetables and raise a few different types of animals while doing a lot of educational programming.

What business challenge were you trying to address with SkoVenture Media?

We wanted to get the message about regenerative agriculture to an audience. We hired SkoVenture Media to create videos for us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

SkoVenture Media has been creating a video series on YouTube for us. The goal of the videos is to get the farm’s message out, highlight the evolution of this farm and our progress, and educate about the specific subject matter of regenerative agriculture.

So far, we have only put out a pilot video and now one short as well.

What is the team composition?

I’ve been working mainly with Chris (Owner).

How did you come to work SkoVenture?

I’ve known Chris since we were both at the same university. I heard that he was going independent into filmmaking professionally, saw some of his videos, and liked his work. He had also previously worked with my father's business, and I was able to see his quality.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve spent about $8,000 with them so far.

What is the status of the engagement?

We started working together in July 2021, and the partnership is still ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I cannot access any metrics right now, but I can say that we’ve gotten great reception in terms of views, likes, and positive comments in the video. The videos have also been sent to certain publications and organizations, and we got good responses from them.

How did SkoVenture perform from a project management standpoint?

It’s excellent — Chris has been flexible, considering my tight schedule at the farm. He is also attentive and responsive. In terms of communication, we typically use iMessage, emails, and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The quality of their work and their level of enthusiasm in working with us are what stand out the most about them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There is not a lot I can think about since it's a new process for both parties, but there are growing pains of the process that we've been both figuring out at the same time. Besides that, I don't have any complaints.

Any advice to potential customers?

Adequately explain the purpose and mission of the project to them — the better they understand it, the better they’ll communicate that story.

We are owners and operators of a vacation getaway cottage nestled in MidCoast Maine.

We wanted to create a video that expressed the relaxed atmosphere of our cottage and the beauty that surrounds it.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found SkoVenture media showcasing for other similar home like ours. We were very impressed by the style and the high level of cinematography, portraying a quality piece of work.

Chris met with us prior to filming to give us a quick run through of the filming process. He shot the film as a homecoming, filled with warm, heartfelt moments that captured the essence of our cozy cottage.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

Chris did all the filming and editing. He expressed volumes of enthusiasm before, during and after for this quaint, short story about life in coastal Maine.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were very satisfied and pleased with Sko Venture Media. We were surprised to see the short film attain over 100 views in just 2 days!

Chris and his crew were right on time and covered all the bases before, during and after the shoot. He made the whole experience feel like we were just a bunch friends getting together for the weekend!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Working with Chris at SkoVenture Media has been a real treat! He captured the essence of our cozy little cabin, nestled in the beauty known as The Coast of Maine. His "can do" attitude is refreshing. Chris is a professional in every aspect of his craft, portraying exactly what we are offering to our guests: the experience and the warmth of Timeless Tides Cottage.

We hope to take more Timeless Voyages with Chris at the helm! The most touching part of this project was getting to work with our Cinematographer/ Producer. It was a truly a wonderful, fulfilling experience! Bien Venidos! Carlos & Karen J. @TimlessTides

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I wish we could have captured the water experience side on film, in Maine during March, but it was freezing! We will plan a summer sequel soon. Can't wait!
