As part of a website project to migrate 240 independent branch and centre websites over to satellite pages on our national Cats Protection website, we needed some expert content advice and recommendations, as well as technical guidance, on local SEO and how best to optimise our new webpages to support the needs of local communities, whilst integrating them alongside our national content.

After initial meetings in which we informed SiteVisibility of our migration project and its goals, they produced a detail proposal and roadmap thoroughly outlining their involvement. During this project, SiteVisibility worked methodically through an on-page local SEO assessment, a technical SEO review and a data migration plan, with regular meetings and updates communicated to us. The key deliverable was to ensure our new webpages were optimised fully from both an on-page content and technical perspective.

Our migration project itself is still in progress, with 15 new webpages live at the time of writing, however, due to the input from SiteVisibility, these new webpages are efficiently optimised and appropriately tailored to their local communities. We have seen a reduction in the number of out-of-area enquiries these specific branches and centres are receiving, and have received lots of positive feedback, from staff, volunteers and our supporters re the new page content. Going forward, as more sites migrate, we are confident we'll continue to reap the benefits of this project and see tangible measurable outcomes in our data.

SiteVisibility are the most efficient company we have ever worked with - their communication was regular and thorough throughout, with bi-weekly formal project updates via email, a monthly meeting with our project manager, and easy day-to-day contact with the relevant staff whilst working on specific elements of the project.

Their level of professionalism and knowledge within the sector stood out. They also delivered - at times very technical - information in a digestible, accessible way which has allowed us to learn a great deal in the process and feel confident in implementing their recommendations.

Site Visibility began the project with a detailed series of audits and discovery calls with out teams internally. They made this process painless, and presented the results to all stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. This gave us a real sense of direction for the activities that we were able to plan from this point, and enabled us to build a solid roadmap for the coming months.

We tasked them with creating not only a series of SEO projects to be rolled out across the year, but also BAU activities such as reports, keyword research and content creation/improvements. Their ability to adapt to changes, and to implement new strategies in line with the business' needs was tested early, and they clearly demonstrated a passion to help us wherever possible.

From very early on in our working relationship, we were able to see positive impact to our organic visibility and keyword positions. The categories that we worked on went from strength to strength and outranked some of the larger retail websites. 12 months into the work, organic visibility had increased by 104% and we were maintaining keyword positions of huge value.

Communication has been great throughout, and consists of a mix between regular calls and various email threads. They provide us with a weekly email roundup of activity and next steps/outstanding actions, which has proven really useful internally. Site Visibility's style of project management feels very much tailored to suit the client's needs, and so I never felt like I was having to chase them or was in the dark about any work. If there was a particular project management tool that we use internally, the Site Visibility team would be more than happy to adopt that for the duration of the work.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I have found their work to be of a really high quality, proven by the results we have delivered, and always handed over to us with clear lines of communication and enthusiasm to make a real difference to our business. The way they can integrate into our internal team has been impressive. I would also highlight their depth of knowledge around some of the more technical elements of SEO.

There is little they could do to improve, but it would be good to see more creative ideas being brought to the table which might give us an even bigger advantage over the competition.

This was followed by said implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the PPC strategy to ensure it's performance was on track.

Since improving SEO on site, we have seen a huge rise in blog traffic and feature highly for specific keywords. Our data is much more reliable too, due to the hard work of the data and analytics team.

We really liked how they adapted to our situation as we went along (we are a very small team and initially I think this was a challenge - they adapted quickly to prioritise the areas that we would get the most out of with little resource)

Their experience and knowledge were brilliant, and I really enjoyed working with them on a personal level. A creative and intelligent team that are really passionate about their individual specialisms - and that makes them a joy to work with.

No. I think they could've taken into consideration our lack of resource at the beginning of the project, but this was soon rectified as they went along in the project - and they handled it really well.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We haven't yet launched the website, we're hoping for forms and calls for the Trane UK rental services.
