This will be done by the PROCESIO team and it will provide API endpoints for each functionality (e.g. authentication, sending SMS, validating the OTP, getting the list of UITs, reporting missing UIT issues, etc.):
User Authentication:
Username and password-based authentication.
OTP (One Time Password) is sent via SMS for verification (Twillio).
Integration with various SMS providers for sending OTPs, supporting national and international mobile numbers (e.g., Europe).
Vehicle Registration:
After authentication, users should enter the vehicle number (license plate) they are driving.
We will add additional security measures to make sure that no one else than the right driver can add the vehicle plates of the car he is driving. Those details are not defined at this point and we will need to clarify at a later point.
A "Start" button to begin GPS tracking.
GPS Tracking:
Transmit GPS location every two minutes to a designated webhook provided by PROCESIO.
Data to be transmitted: GPS location, vehicle number, and potentially other details as needed.
In case of internet loss, store GPS positions locally and send retroactively once the connection is restored.
If the GPS signal is unavailable, send an "I'm Alive" signal to the webhook to indicate the app is running but lacks GPS data.
UIT Code Management:
Users can view a list of UIT codes in the vehicle after they add the vehicle number (license plate).
Option to report issues with specific UIT codes from a predefined list of problems. This list should be maintained on a server so we can improve it when needed.
Ability to report missing UIT codes and report other potential issues.
All UIT-related issues should be sent to a webhook with detailed information.
End of Transport:
A button to stop GPS tracking when transport is complete.
Send a signal to the webhook to indicate the successful completion of tracking.
Multi-language:
The app should allow multiple languages.
The first languages should be RO & EN and the user can switch between them.
Additional Functional Requirements:
Security: Potentially include additional security measures such as company-specific identification codes for the authentication screen.
Data Handling: Ensure the application handles intermittent connectivity gracefully, storing and forwarding data as necessary.
User Interface: Intuitive and user-friendly interface for easy interaction by drivers.
Tracking time interval: By default, the application should send data every 2 minutes but this time interval might change. We need to be able to maintain this time interval on our server.

The project was designed to go in three stages:
Stage #1 - Migrate question types with specific functionality from a third-party platform to our own site, which required additional on-site functionality
Stage #2 - Redesign website for a more appealing design and better user experience
Stage #3 - Research new on-site functionality like text-to-speech through Azure integration and graded feedback, mostly delivered through a Chat GPT API integration.
Stage 4 - Deploy new functionalities and style on the updated website, monitor progress, squash bugs, and continue to tweak the stack and plugins based on needs

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We could have done a better job together at coming up with a list of more measurable outcomes before the project started, we mostly relied on dates and functionalities, but some of those functionalities included:

Improved user experience through clearer site flow

There were occasional delays in deliverables, but we had planned on this beforehand so it did not negatively impact the project experience. They were careful to manage my expectations beforehand because some aspects of the development were more exploratory in nature and hard to predict for specific dates. They kept the deadlines and budget in mind throughout.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
One thing I found impressive was their flexibility and patience. Even though the project finished, there were still issues coming up with certain integrations and they have always been responsive and patient in their response. They are also keen to try new things, so even if there is some functionality you would like to integrate on the site or if you have a change of heart mid-project and want to go down a different rabbit hole, they are more than willing to be flexible and address your needs.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Serenichron could have done differently?
I believe this is more my fault, but I should have been clear with my expectations from the start. I kind of just said "do this" and did not provide enough details in terms of design, layout, specific functionalities, and so on. Luckily, Sernichron delivered despite a lack of direction from me. So, on their end, I wish they would have challenged me more and pushed me to be more specific from the start, but I don't really think that is their job anyway.
