I’m the director of marketing at RealTech Webmasters. We provide web development for the vacation rental and travel industry.

What challenge were you trying to address with WriterArmy?

We needed help with providing SEO and content marketing to our clients.

What was the scope of their involvement?

WriterArmy supplies us with any content that we need to help our clients increase their rankings and SEO visibility. We start every quarter by creating a content calendar for them to follow. Although we assign the content most of the time, the team has brought in ideas as well. Since we’re in the travel industry, the content they produce must contain very specific local information. Therefore, WriterArmy finds writers who reside in or can easily visit the areas we need content for. This ensures that the content is written from a local’s point of view.

It’s an iterative process, as well. If we have any negative feedback on the content they’ve delivered, the team addresses any issues and keeps our concerns in mind when they write new content. After we get the edited content from the WriterArmy team, we then supply it to our clients to either approve or ask for any changes. Recently, we’ve been growing our SEO and content marketing offerings alongside the WriterArmy team.

What is the team composition?

I primarily work with Alexandra (Operations Manager), who oversees the whole process and makes sure that all our requests for content are being worked on. She’s also responsible for pricing and delivering the content to us. I’ve also worked with Sully (Founder).

How did you come to work with WriterArmy?

I came across their site years ago. At the time, I was working with a few different content producers, but none of them met our demands. However, WriterArmy’s content was just superior, and they were able to meet our expectations as our business grew. Additionally, they took the time to sit down and discuss our needs with us.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $50,000 each year.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2016, and it’s ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our clients absolutely love the content that WriterArmy puts together. When we give the content to our clients, we don’t receive many requests for edits. A lot of the time, the copy that WriterArmy gives us is perfect by the first draft. We’ve gotten great feedback on how well-written, well-structured, and accurate the content has been. The team does excellent research and pays close attention to what they write. Additionally, they try really hard to make sure that their writers can go to the places they write about.

Furthermore, we’ve definitely seen that Google likes the content that WriterArmy provides. The team structures it in a way that performs better, so we typically see a significant amount of growth in organic rankings. In addition, it helps us get more site visitors, leading to more bookings and reservations for our clients.

Overall, it’s been a mutually beneficial partnership. Working with them is very strategic for us. Without WriterArmy, we wouldn’t have been able to achieve such success with content marketing.

How did WriterArmy perform from a project management standpoint?

The WriterArmy team typically exceeds our expectations as far as timelines and production. They submit their work way before the deadline and are ahead of schedule regarding our content needs. We usually follow content calendars, and we send them a lot of our content requests every quarter, so most of the requests are planned for in advance. However, if we need anything at the last minute, they deliver quickly and accordingly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Overall, WriterArmy has definitely exceeded our expectations. They’ve done what we needed them to do and accommodated our needs. For example, we wanted our invoices to be done a certain way, and the team was keen to adjust for us. Our relationship with them is one of the best we’ve ever had.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’ve been working with them for so long that they’re very familiar with our expectations. At first, we had some issues, but they were always quick to fix them to avoid any more problems moving forward. Most of the kinks we’ve had have already been ironed out.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be very specific on what you want for your content. The quality of their content grows the more specific you are.
