During our collaboration, Selkie conducted a comprehensive accessibility study of an unusual product, an "eye-friendly book" - a book dedicated to people with visual impairments (an innovative physical and digital product that is a project of one of our client's R&D departments).
Selkie's tasks included:
obtaining detailed information about the subject matter of the product to be tested,
providing recommendations for prototypes variants to be tested,
defining the sample of respondents to participate in the study,
recruitment of respondents,
conducting two types of research: task tests and in-depth interviews (IDI).
preparation of the research report with detailed recommendations on how to participate in the study.
In addition, Selkie prepared a set of recommendations for the website of the tested product based on the WCAG 2.1 standard.
The whole cooperation was very smooth and valuable.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The project was carried out 100% according to the agreed research objectives, so the first measurable indicator is the completion of the project according to the agreed specifications.
An extremely important aspect of the collaboration was the accessibility recommendations for the tested product. The nearly 70-page research report provided extremely valuable information, the amount and detail of which exceeded our expectations.
As a result, our client was able to move forward with their innovative project.

Selkie is a highly professional and reliable partner. Not only in the expertise of its work, but also in the management of the projects entrusted to it.
Communication was exemplary. All arrangements were made according to the schedule agreed at the beginning of the project. There were no unnecessary, superfluous meetings. Meetings were short, pre-planned and extremely effective.
We knew how difficult this research was and wanted to be sure that all the important details would be included in the final report, so Selkie gave us access to a high-quality working document that we could ask questions about before receiving the final result.
The entire project was on a very tight schedule and took place during the holiday season, yet Selkie completed the project on time with no delays.
