Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the EVP of a nonprofit organization that helps pay for mental health services for underprivileged communities. We also provide a scholarship and are committed to helping underserved communities access better financial management and nutritional acumen.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with REMIXED?

We wanted to make sure that we’re making the right first impressions with both of our audiences: donors and the people we assist. We wanted our message to match our ideal presence.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They completely constructed our entire brand identity. At the start of the collaboration, they conducted stakeholder interviews to get a feel for our organization and begin planning a long-lasting presence. They walked us through some questions, fonts, color schemes, and more to understand how we were experiencing our brand internally with the goal of casting it externally.

We started with logo concepts, which we got through very quickly. They’ve also been instrumental in creating social media accounts, developing our WordPress website, and developing an app. Not only do they design our posts on social media, but they’ve also been instrumental in recommending software dedicated to automating content publication.

What is the team composition?

All the communication is streamlined through their CEO.

How did you come to work with REMIXED?

We were interviewing and researching many potential partners, but none of them looked like they’d be able to best meet our needs. During this process, I found them on Instagram and liked their service offerings shown on their website.

We hired them thinking that we would invest in one of the packages described on the site, but we found that building a relationship and keeping them on retainer would be best.

How much have you invested with them?

Our monthly rate is $7,800.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with them since around June 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We monitor our social media following and will soon be able to track traffic to our site. That will help us determine how well some of their marketing work is functioning.

When we received the logo, it took a different direction than I was expecting. However, people loved it. After a sneak peek of our upcoming merchandise, the logo got tens across the board.

How did REMIXED perform from a project management standpoint?

They use Basecamp, giving us access and visibility into their entire team’s work. We appreciated the various check-ins and milestones they hosted to ensure that they had a strong understanding of our business.

We were able to stay on task and understood their progress at all project stages. They always provided us with a timeline estimation and forecast for new tasks, which helped us manage our time more effectively.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve really enjoyed working so closely with their CEO. It’s great being able to pick up the phone and reach him so easily. The team has the creative flexibility to meet our needs, and communication is completely streamlined. That’s prevented us from ever becoming overwhelmed.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think if they got more visibility for their services, they would have tons more business. It was a bit difficult to find them online.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Trust their expertise. It would’ve been helpful for us to let go of some of our expectations and opt to let them guide us.

I am the founder and Chief Guide Officer. My company offers a one-of-a-kind experience for our creators (you), that is fully customized based on a preliminary questionnaire. We have combined different mindfulness practices into one unique experience that helps release stress and anxiety, connects the mind and body, rewires the brain with new personal beliefs, and helps our creators activate their power from within.

For what projects/services did your company hire REMIXED, and what were your goals?

We hired Remixed to help us develop our brand identity from scratch. The goal was to come away with a full brand deck/guideline/framework that included logo, colors, tone, mission statement, graphics, target audience, etc.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

A friend of mine did a rebrand for their company's 100th year in business and I was very impressed with the work. I asked who they worked with and was referred to Remixed.

Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.

There is a long introductory call to flush out all the details of the process, expectations, etc. to make sure everyone is on the same page.
I had to fill out a very long questionnaire, which dove deep into my thought process and feelings behind what I wanted to see in the new brand (Create Meditation). I was impressed with the questionnaire because I could tell the agency wanted to learn as much as possible before working on the brand devlopment.
My favorite part of the process was the next step... we hopped on a zoom call and they took me through a powerpoint where I had to answer roughly 30 questions on the fly. I didn't know what the process was meant for, but it helped develop the tone for the brand.
Remixed then got to work building the brand identity, which included logo, colors, tone, mission statement, graphics, target audience, etc... and tested this with different focus groups.
Based on feedback from focus groups, there was some adjustments made and I was presented with everything.
We went through a couple rounds of tweeking/editing.
I was presented with the deliverables: brand deck with logos, colors, graphics... and a messaging deck which included vision, mission, tone, values, brand story, positioning statement, elevator pitch

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked with the owner, four designers, and a project manager.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We launched our website this week, and we have received great feedback so far.

One of the areas I was most impressed with Remixed was their communication/transparency. We used basecamp to communicate and keep track of tasks/projects.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

My biggest wow moment came when we went through the powerpoint zoom call process to develop the tone for the brand. Overall, I was impressed with how thorough they were in the brand-building process. This was my third time launching a brand from scratch and I had never dug this deep into the meaning and development of what a brand identity looks like.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not really. The only thing to be aware of is the process takes time. I might have liked to have received the deliverables sooner, but it was all worth the wait.
