We reviewed work of multiple vendors and selected based on expereince in working on a similar kind of project

The project involves building a marketplace for instructors to upload and manage their training content which included video, pdfs, docs and source files. The project was done in two phases first involving the front end of the market place for end users and the other for content team to manage the content.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

They gave us a manager and a 10 people team including developers, testers and UI experts.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The product was completed in time and we were able to save some costs due to the design changes suggested by the team

There were some communication issues in both the teams in some cases but ultimately it was all done properly

They are really interested in customer success.

I think we were able to build a great pipeline and process so it is all good

I’m the agile program manager and technical consultant at a leading software consulting and services company. Along with that, I’m a professional coach and consult on technical programs for mentoring and coaching institutions globally.

For what projects/services did your company hire RaftLabs, and what were your goals?

We were looking for a vendor who can help us build the platform that we internally can use to connect with our mentees for our ongoing coaching and community services.

How did you select RaftLabs and what were the deciding factors?

As a team, we were looking for a technology provider who is deep into engagement, community, networking, and building solutions for real-time communications. We evaluated a few vendors. With RaftLabs, we saw they had built several projects like ours in the past. Their approach was relatable and we saw a direct fit.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The project objective was to build a scalable and modern online mentoring platform that enables organizations like ours to run mentoring activities at scale in a very effective and efficient way Since we are ourselves our professional coaches, we know what parameters are crucial to success.

The engagement started out with the discovery of our existing approach, the design of what the proposed solution could be, and development there on.

How many people from the RaftLabs team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We had 1 UX/UI Designer, 2 full-stack developers, 1 tester and one project manager working with us.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project is ongoing. But in terms of deliverables, the RaftLabs team delivered a whole new UX/UI design for this project in 6 weeks. They started building the cloud-based web application development and were able to deliver the first milestone right on time. All in all, it has been a great engagement so far.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Communication was very smooth from the beginning. We had almost 2 catch-ups in a week. Since I’m myself an Agile practitioner, it was easy for me to fine-tune our approach to working with them. We had a few product designers from our end who were guiding the whole thing. So all in all it was great teamwork.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their communication and approach are pleasant. The use of project management tools like Asana even simplified the whole engagement. Their team was generally available on slack and easy to work with. The project manager Aditya was amazing. He cleared up most of the things for us on time.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The project is still in the process. So far, we have not felt the need for any sort of improvement.

I'm internal consultant of a small-med size business consultation services firm predominantly serving financial institutions and financial services

The company was exploring a range of services to create a massive automation overhaul and strategy aligning with keeping no physical assets and resources. This required rethinking the current business progresses and its storage and to rebuilt a new infrastructure to support the high agility based automated solution.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

RaftLabs played a pivotal role from design to implementation in giving us the solution which can allow the firm to move in cloud based storage with quickest time to market services for both internal and customer facing usage.

The design phase was critical as the CxO team was not highly technically adept and Raftlabs helps with providing a array of solutions and services to choose from, and they also provided extensive business analysis of the problems of current process for its limitations for both time spent and cost incurred.

The implementation was highly collaborative approach with their agile development strategy allowing us to make changes throughout the project life cycle.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The CTO commissioned a focussed team to manage our project and also provided a POC project manager to manage the cost, schedule and changes in the project from start to finish. The CTO himself spent time at different crirical checkpoints to ensure we had the support and quality of service.

He also managed to resolve any concerns or issues we raised along the path of the project to reaffirm the commitment provided in the sales and pre sales engagements.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The automation and cloud migration is successful and we are able to use a highly transparent (Cost) and efficient system which can we can build further with new services and offerings internally and externally. Raftlabs will continue to be our preferred choice of service vendor for creating new cost saving and cloud optimisation effort we plan for coming months.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Raftlabs team used extremely efficient tools and solution to ensure coverage and support from its global team. Their support models allowed us to work remotely with same level of collaboration and efficiency despite the lockdown.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Raftlabs approachs to work with the clients and own their problems, transparency and communication, extremely talented workforce and the strong management team makes them the best vendors in the market for us small-medium sized firms to work with.

I am sure they are very capable of serving any size firm but particularly firms of our size benefits the most with their bespoke solution and ability to work with non technical customers.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think they are great bunch of people and as they are growing leaps and bounds with bigger clientele, I hope they get to continue giving the excellent service that they provide to us.
