I’m the CEO of Your 360 Business Review, it’s a software development company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Nolt technologies?

We’re providing automated solutions for companies, identifying their problems, and then giving them that solution utilizing AI.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They handled interface design. This involved taking the work I’d done in Excel and trying to make logic out of it. Their team worked on the backend application and database they had to develop. Then, we worked on the user interface in terms of what the user’s going to see when they log into the system.

Following that, we worked on how we’d process the information we retrieve from the client as well as how we’d deliver the automated reports and action systems that the data gave us. They used .NET.

What is the team composition?

I dealt with Oleksandr (Founder) as a project manager, and then he distributed it to his team of 4–5 individuals.

How did you come to work with Nolt technologies?

I went out to search for developers in Eastern Europe and Russia because of the reputation they have in terms of delivering quality products for reasonable costs. I found six different companies and then sent them the documentation. They submitted their proposals and had we had conversations with each of them.

Nolt technologies grasped the idea of the concept and bought into what we’re trying to do. It was clear they were keen to work with us. They were professional in the way they communicated what they communicate.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested $8,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project ran from June–July 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The solution has just gone out to the market, so things are still fresh in terms of seeing an impact at this point. I have individuals who have seen and used the product, and they’ve provided positive feedback about the interface and how it looks. Nolt technologies took my initial designs to the next level.

I wanted the software to identify problems, provide understanding through the automation of reports and analytics, have an action that’d be delivered immediately, and possess the ability for us to have a platform in order to help support our clients. The solution does all of that as a first-generation MVP — it does it well and looks great. They really nailed it. I was pleased with the standard of work and really do feel that I got great value for money.

How did Nolt technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

We set up a platform for us to communicate through. I mostly dealt with Olek and didn’t have much interaction with the overall management of the project, it involved more status updates, clarifications, and specific questions. Ultimately the timeframes and milestones were outlined in the project, but I left delivery to them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It was the integrity of communication they had when I was negotiating the contract with them. With some of the other companies I was talking to, it was clear they were focused on how much money they could get out of me. Whereas, Nolt technologies bought into the idea and concept of a long-term relationship. This isn’t going to be the last time we work together because there will be iterations of the software. 

They understood where I was as an entrepreneur and startup with limited resources. I felt that they wanted to see my success as their success. Because of that, it felt as though they were one of us rather than a company we outsourced the work to.   

Are there any areas they could improve?

The one thing I’d recommend they improve is the quality control process in terms of double-checking bugs and resolving them entirely. It seemed as though that with their quality control process if it wasn’t for my attention-to-detail, some things may have gotten overlooked if it was a different personality in my shoes. That’s an area that could use some improvement. However, they far-exceeded what I thought they’d bring to the table, they just need that little bit of polishing.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d advise them to stay on top of communication, Nolt technologies will stay on top of it as well.

I am the former CEO and co-founder of UppLabs. We provided software development services, web development, and mobile development for start-ups and middle-sized and enterprise-sized clients.

What challenge were you trying to address with Nolt technologies?

We hired Nolt technologies to cover some resource lacks we had within our team at the time.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Nolt technologies helped fulfill our development team for multiple projects throughout our engagement. Their developers were integrated into our own internal team, and we worked closely with them on a daily basis.

This particular project involved the development of an app that functioned as a social platform for parents. The app was compatible with both iOS and Android, as well as web. The mobile component allowed users to follow others, submit, comment on, and share posts. 

The web side featured an administrative component where our team could manage users and view data related to app use. 

We used Xamarin which is a Microsoft technology and there were also a couple of things that were done in .NET on the backend. We took an agile approach to development, working towards two- to three-week deliverables.

What is the team composition?

We collaborated on a day to day basis with four people from their team, though there were more members who provided support. Their founder was our main point of contact for any questions or other items of discussion, though we mostly collaborated with the developers directly.

How did you come to work with Nolt technologies?

I wasn’t responsible for the search itself, but we ultimately decided to go with Nolt technologies because they could provide the expertise we required at the team. They performed quite well in the technical interview.  

How much have you invested in them?

We invested just under $30,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from August 2016–February 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The product was successfully delivered and launched, and the client was pleased with it. Their success rate for milestones throughout the project was high.

How did Nolt technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

As Nolt technologies was hired to augment our team, we handled the project management on our end. We used Skype and email to communicate, and for project management, we used Trello. They were very communicative.

At times, they were willing to work throughout the night on something they considered a high priority, even if we felt it could wait. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

We appreciated their levels of responsiveness and communication.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing comes to mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Before you start working with Nolt technologies, provide either a small pilot project or a technical interview, to make sure you’re familiar and satisfied with their abilities.

What challenge were you trying to address with Nolt technologies?

I wanted to create software that allowed my clients to create personalized phone cases using their own photos. The second goal was to create my own CRM system.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Nolt technologies developed my CRM using ASP.NET and AngularJS. The CRM manages our warehouse sales and marketing. It essentially helps us do everything connected to our business. The initial CRM took a year and a half, and we’ve now developed a second CRM system.

What is the team composition?

I worked with Oleksandr (Founder & CEO, Nolt technologies) and three others.

How did you come to work with Nolt technologies?

My friend recommended them. From my first talk with Oleksandr, I was convinced they could help me with all my goals.

How much have you invested with them?

It’s been around $40,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Nolt technologies in July 2016, and have an ongoing partnership.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The CRM has helped our organization build some processes. We rely on it for many aspects of our business. It’s helped us stay organized and get more clients. Our work has become more structured and systematized.

How did Nolt technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated via Skype. They usually answer us within minutes or even seconds.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I had worked with some bad developers before meeting Oleksandr and his team. At that point, I didn’t believe I could meet a great company that could do everything I wanted in my business. Nolt technologies completely changed my mind.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It’s hard to say because I like the product I received.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I don’t know what to advise because I’m fully satisfied with Nolt technologies.
