The scope of this project focused on resolving several pending issues related to the integration and functionality of a WooCommerce-based webstore for Multi-Tech Products. The key objectives involved ensuring seamless synchronization between WooCommerce, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and ShipStation, as well as configuring shipping zones to accurately handle domestic and international orders, particularly for HAZMAT products.
Key Deliverables:
WooCommerce Integration with ShipStation and QuickBooks Online:
- Testing and troubleshooting the connection between WooCommerce and ShipStation to ensure that paid orders are properly reflected in ShipStation.
- Ensuring orders marked as "Completed" in WooCommerce are reflected in the correct channels in ShipStation (WooCommerce selling channel, awaiting shipment category).
- Resolving issues where orders (both cash on delivery and credit card payments) were not syncing properly between WooCommerce, ShipStation, and QuickBooks Online.
- Ensuring that tracking numbers are only generated through ShipStation and not through WooCommerce, so shipping labels and tracking data remain accurate.
Automation of Order Status and Tracking Updates:
- Implementing a solution to ensure that when an order ships from ShipStation, the tracking information is automatically sent back to WooCommerce, and the order status is updated from "Pending" to "Completed."
- Testing to ensure this automation eliminates the need for manual order status updates and tracking input.
