I found the vendor through the Shopify Partner directory. After our first call, we discussed the project and decided to start working together.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project is completed. All key tasks were delivered, and we are not actively working together at the moment. However, future improvements are still possible.

MGroup developed a Shopify solution for me with B2B/B2C logic and individual pricing.
As part of the project, two Shopify applications were created. We signed a formal contract with an attached technical specification.
Key features were implemented through a public app developed by MGroup, which was never handed over to me — even though part of the core functionality described in the specification does not work without it.
The contract includes no clauses that would allow such technical solutions to be excluded from transfer.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
In my opinion, the project remained incomplete.
The application upon which the store’s operation depends was not delivered to me, although the contract states that everything developed during the project must be transferred.
I remain technically dependent on MGroup’s infrastructure, which contradicts the contract.
Coupon functionality does not work, despite being advertised in the app description.
The logout bug was never fixed.

Task estimates should be transparent and properly justified.
Bugs must be fixed on time.
Communication should be respectful and include attempts to find compromise.
Removing the client from communication channels is unacceptable.
Key functionality should not rely on external infrastructure that the client cannot access.
The final product did not meet contractual expectations. Core functionality remains dependent on a proprietary app that was not transferred to me, despite being critical to the project. One major bug (logout) was never fixed. Coupon features were missing, though advertised. In my opinion, the project is incomplete.
After the core project was completed, communication slowed significantly, and follow-up tasks were delayed or not completed at all.
I had to redo or complete multiple tasks myself that were initially overestimated (claimed 10–12 hours, I completed in 2–3). In my opinion, this reflects poor value.
I advise others to be very cautious and to clarify ownership terms in writing before working with them.
I lost trust in the team. Communication became one-sided and unproductive. The most critical application was withheld, and I was removed from the chat without notice. My experience was disappointing and stressful.
