I own NeuFocus. We provide the Arrowsmith Program which uses neuroplasticity to help people with learning problems such as Dyslexia, ADD and Autism.

I put together our old website but it wasn't getting anywhere. Our service is cutting edge and takes a very different view of learning problems than most other services for people with learning disorders. In short we expect people to overcome their learning problems whereas other services expect their clients to remain learning disabled. Our clients need convincing that a very positive outcome is possible for them.  
We needed to find more clients who are suitable for our service adn who could afford to pay for it.

SOLUTION

We found Josiah by chance and it very quickly became clear that he knows how the whole system works. He writes well, understands the way the digital environment works and could keep us focused on the important parts of the marketing process.

Initially Josiah created the webiste for us.  He did all the complicated technical work, referred us to the best degital supports and brought other, cheaper, contractors in to do the easier work - thus saving us money.

Once the website was up and running Josiah started running ads.  Initially we received a lot of false positives - people who need the service but can't afford it.  Through discussion we tightened up the qualification requirements for an enquiry to come through.  This saved me a lot of time. 

Our business is now buzzing along with regular quotable enquiries from qualified buyers.  Josiah has now stepped back and referred us to the next service we need to build our business.

We now have the initial target number of participants usign our services.  Our next target will require me to train another staff member.

Josiah always delivered on time. There were no delays, and the team consistently worked hard.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The combination of Josiah's skills - a marketer and a journalist.  He knows how to say what needs to be said and then knows how to get those words into the right places.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Ours is a niche market and we provide a unique response to it.  A deeper familiarity with our clients would have been useful - however I don't know of anyone who has that depth of understanding of learning problems who doesn't work directly in the business. 

Ours is not like a new type of shampoo.  Not every mareketer can do it.  Josiah certainly picked that people feel isolated, misunderstood, and anxious and at the moment that seems to be enough because we are getting the enquiries we need.

As a start up, our website was done on the cheap and got us far enough but we knew we need to assert our selves in a competitive market with a site that had more presence and functionality. Equally, we went to market with our sister brand - Impaired Credit Lending for which JRR was also charged with the delivery of. After reviewing a number of providers we decided to go with JRR.

After reviewing a number of providers we decided to go with JRR. Josiah came across as knowledgeable, forthcoming and proactive in his ideas and understood the brief to a T. He convinced us that he had a deep knowledge and understanding of best practise and paid attention to detail on every aspect of the brief. More so - he was timely with feedback, didn't miss scheduled catch ups and was excellent at documenting and reporting on work performed and project milestones.

After a series of discovery meetings, we articulated what we need from JRR. We presented a mock up of the site and the topics/content we wanted to include as a rough version on Google Sites. From there Josiah was able to put wire frames together to provide an indication of what was needed to flesh out each aspect of the site. Once the content was provided, Josiah and his team went to work to deliver.

One aspect of the experience was particularly appealing were the end of day updates and the Loom video summaries which provided valuable context to the task being undertaken. Iy actually made sense to watch a short clip rather than try to keep up with jargon that only techies understand.

Josiah had 2 other resources that worked alongside him to deliver the project. They had the same capability as Josiah which allowed the same standard of work to be delivered faster.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

It was a pleasant experience. Whilst the sites have only just been put into flight we are confident they are robust enough to take us through the next stage of our growth phase.

Josiah's ability to communicate is faultless. Verbally, written and the use of multiple modalities like Loom and Markup made the process easier. Also - as mentioned the daily summary and reporting on milestones ensure everyone knew where things were at all the way through.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

There were many factors that appealed to us in working with JRR however, Josiah's creative flair, honest communication, standing by his decisions and being able to justify his rationale when we needed comfort, gave us the confidence we needed to see the project through. He maintained control of the project end to end.

Nothing comes to mind. It was a great experience and I look forward to working with JRR Marketing's team again.

We were wanting to work on our marketing approach for boosting referral leads and our online presence. JRR Marketing helped by taking initiative to this with re-designing and optimising our website so it was more accessible and used SEO strategies.

We searched online for a digital marketer who was experienced with helping NDIS businesses specifically and chose JRR Marketing after having a brief zoom meeting with Josiah who gave us a lot of confidence that he would be able to help achieve our goals and the growth of the business.

We had an audit done first of our website and what we needed to do to achieve our marketing goals. An action plan was then put it place of each step. We then worked together on building an NDIS persona to generate the content used for our new website. Our website was then re-designed and optimised and we were setup with a Cloudways account.

We then sent through some assets to include on the website and went through a review stage where we could advise any changes we wanted to make. The new website was then intergrated onto the new Cloudways server and launched and on-page SEO was finished.

We worked with a digital marketer and copywriter for our project.

The new website was very recently launched so it is still in it's early days but since JRR Marketing completed on-page SEO for our website, we are now ranking on the first page on google search which is excellent and I foresee this should help bring in further referrals.

First, we went through a consultation call. Josiah did an audit of our business and asked us we’d like to achieve in the next 3 month. We came up with a 3-month marketing action plan, listing out SMART goals: 1. To increase customer acquisition 2. Decrease overall churn for our brand 3. To increase overall sales in the next 3 months

To achieve this, Josiah implemented some technical marketing skills which includes optimising local SEO, Google Ads, and conversion optimisation.

We worked with Josiah alone, and he handled everything in an incredibly timely manner with almost no revisions. Since he’s an expert in his field, we left most aspects of the project up for him to decide, and he’s definitely impressed us with the results!

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

SEO: Within 1 month of optimising our SEO, we were surprised to see an increase in organic traffic to our site. (More specific?) Since SEO can be tricky and time-consuming, we were surprised that it worked! Google Ads: We managed to reduce our ad spend by 20% while maintaining even better results that we hoped for.

Our CTRs across adds went up by 3-4% and the managed to beat our competition in this area. Conversion optimisation: The number of orders we get went up by at least 30% after working with Josiah. The conversion rate on our website and add-to-carts felt like it went up significantly.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Throughout the project, we‘d have a weekly meeting to go over our campaign performance and keep everyone up to date on their progress. Whenever we had questions, Josiah was also always prompt and helpful in his replies. As nervous and new business owners, we can’t appreciate the stress he has taken from us more than enough.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Josiah was the best at what he was doing, SEO optimization and Google Ads. He understands exactly where businesses should put their money to 100% maximise their returns. He is also extremely well-versed at functional web design and punchy, engaging headlines. Other than his skills, Josiah is also incredibly personable and treats you as a friend instead of another client.

If anything, I'd love to have Josiah working on my project for longer, but we understand that he has a lot of other clients that he helps.
